  1. Just Looking at these Results I found it intresting that the 8th Placed EVO had medium ranked apex speed and the equal best lap time overall... ROAD TYRES 1st. BRIDGESTONE POTENZA ADRENALIN RE001 Lap time (sec) = 40.4 Apex speed (km/h) = 62.4 Total score = 120.1 2nd. MAXXIS VICTRA i-PRO Lap time (sec) = 40.1 Apex speed (km/h) = 63.1 Total score = 115.5 3rd. GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC Lap time (sec) = 40.0 Apex speed (km/h) = 61.8 Total score = 112.4 4th. HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO Lap time (sec) = 39.9 Apex speed (km/h) = 60.2 Total score = 98.8 5th. PIRELLI P ZERO NERO Lap time (sec) = 40.3 Apex speed (km/h) = 63.2 Total score = 95.2 6th. CONTINENTAL SPORTCONTACT 3 Lap time (sec) = 40.1 Apex speed (km/h) = 61.2 Total score = 91.6 7th. 2. yeah I also got gold class booked on Sat. Should be a good movie though
  3. great fittings, fitted mine the other day, perfect.
  4. yeah heat shield was done cos i had some more paint, I have wrap for the manifold anyway. and yeah just dust, quite windy in melb last few days. I bought a cannon 450d SLR a few days back, pics up dust well but not the sparkle!
  5. i trial fitted mine. looking for any opinions for the coilpack cover, once i did the primer it cooled kinda cool in the 2 tone, I might just leave it.
  6. they use different addatives which may react poorly when mixed. Redline still for me after many years, I used 10W40 these days, sees about 10-15 track days a year, running 270-280 rwkw in a rwd and still stock internals with no big end failure...so in my opinion, redline wins. Hot lap temps are still below 100 deg C with a 10 row cooler.
  7. hi mate, yeah I read about that but I had no such trouble, you have to press it in pretty hard and contanstly shake the bottle...once you get to the end of the can it can become inconsistant. It doesnt take long to sand back and give it another go..I redid parts of the cambelt cover and it now looks even better. Just deciding what color to paint the coilpack cover, prep and base coat done already.
  8. After reading this thread and looking at some good results I decided to do my RB25. I used Holts MetalCast Anodised Blue, which has some mixed reviews. However I have found the reuslts to be fantastic. I started with a good prep of sanding with 400grit then 1200 on both rocker covers, cam cover and the exhaust manafold shield. Used a lot of degreaser to make sure the surfaces was right. With the sanding I was back to bare metal in man cases however its hard to get all the little spots. Overall this took about 30min per piece. I started then with the Hoyts MetalCoat primer, which by itself actually looks pretty good. I did a number of coats within 10min until the items looked perfect. Then I commenced with the color. Overall I did approx 5 coats with 10min of each over with th elast coat being quite heavy. Once they are left to cure, the anodised color really comes up, each bit looks really good however my camera could pic up the shine. Once its been left for about 1 week I will start with a high temp clear to bring up even more gloss and protection. Some of the pics from yesterday after I left them to sit overnight, bit of dust already on them! The gloss doesnt show up in the pics, but I can assure you its there in a big way. Need to learn how to use my new SLR!
  9. I have had my FTO for longer than my R33 and its a fact all the chicks I know like the FTO way more than my r33 skyline which IMO looks pretty decent. They dont call the skyline a BigUglySoapBoxRacer for nothing. flameon btw I saw them shoot that ad in chinatown on a friday night.
  10. fyi I have a set the same I just got for my FTO, not my r33. Here is an image. I think they look pretty good for the $$

  15. congrats. I'm aiming for the R36 myself. the 35 is so yesterday.
  16. My wife even came and wanted to get coffee which took ages, didn't expect anyone to be on time. not a big deal anyway I spent some good time at my mates new place at Portsea who happened to be there, that was Sunday.

  18. its not the sign's fault - don't speed.
  19. who cares I have seen and heard bad stories about most of the listed workshops - in addition all the big names listed, CREATED, RE, RACEPACE etc have done good work for many cars and friends I know - "thats just my personal opinion going by facts"
  20. an update for interested readers on the SS595s now after approx 1000-2000kms of good driving. Overall they are great, nice road feel, not too much noise IMO and really good grip. So you cant go past them for value.
  21. nice work I just got back from there also...going back in 3 weeks on the way to china.. pity our timing didn't overlap you could have stayed at my serviced apartment.

    Rays Wheels?

they have an ok range of the most popular styles. Good service. OTR are great also... either one with be fine.
  24. fixed speed is based on a percentage of the limit. I wont tell you what it is, but I know and this hasn't changed for some time. The point of this device would be mobility, so I doubt they are going on poles.
