Sharing a pretty interesting result from a Rb20DET with Rb25det Neo Vct cams. Turbo's one of our ATR43-G2 BB model for RB20det in T3 .63 rear housing. Car managed to pull a pretty responsive 321rwkws on E85 fuel externally gated. Engine's in a Ford AU . Pretty interesting eposide to watch:

Yes. worse then my 25 year sold stock coilpacks. Throw them away. -

Regarding to Rb20det highflows or builds from earlier discussion, they runs a smaller turbine and and compressor then a RB25det turbos. Can build it into a OP6 it would work similar to a HKS2530 with a modern wheel set for more power. Its not a bad choice. Sharing another result. This is an ATR43SS2 on Pump 98 fuel making a pretty responsive 355rwkws @ 20psi. ATR43SS2 is a brand new turbo that is capable of making more power. Ball bearing option is highly recommended. It is also highly recommended working with our externally gated turbine housing kit.

We've done 411awkws with crazy amount of mid range using factory engine and auto. The power figure were made on E85 fuel, but it will not have issues making 300rwkws on P98. Moving on to RB30dets while my Rb25det getting a fresh up. Engine's built specs: Rb30 Turbo A8 block + S2 25DET Head OEM Crank N1 Oil pump w/ billet gears 85 pound valve springs and Ti retainer CP Forged Pistons Spool H Beam Rods ARP mains and head studs ACL race bearings VCT oil-feed mod Franklin engineering head drain Final result so far is 442rwkws @ 26psi E85 fuel, Result shown Rb30det with stock Rb25det cams VS Rb25det with Kelford 262 cams. I will be dropping in a set of Kelford cams to the Rb30det shortly. For now 300rwkws with 725Mn definitly feels good to drive.

Beanie stops paint fading on the bonnet. But it does makes the bearing housing and turbine housing extremely hot. In cases of oil cooled only or people can't be stuffed connecting water pipes, turbos run without the beanie lasted alot longer.

Engine is standard with ARP Head studs 550cc injectors, Nistune ECU, 600x300x76mm front mount cooler, 3 inches turbo back exhaust, 3 inches metal intake pipe, Split fire coil packs. Thats pretty much it.

Another little vid. This is machine a VL turbo's T3 turbine housing. New turbine wheels's +6.5mm from standard.

The Rb20det result above is on 19psi, thats a very good result, depending on supporting mods and engine condition, I usually seeing them making around the 225rwkws with the same turbo. Its already a very small turbo in the range of a G25-550, I don't think I can get it any better in response, I've had one in my R32 gts4, its was very responsive. With comp housing preliminary machining. The casting had no bolt holes. It was pressed to a chunk for back plating surface machining, so that is the center. It was then flipped to cut the outer of the inlet snout before onto a rotor table to drill and tab bolt holes.

ATR43ss1 will do nicely for Rb20dets in T3 .63 rear housing. Last run done was a pretty responsive 243rwkws on pump fuel.

Posting few engineering videos of turbo housing profile process for people whom's interested. Comp housing, profile machine from raw casting: Rb25det turbine housing profile machining for bigger turbine shaft:

The particular ATR43SS-2 is a 2019 built model. I'll be happy to upgrade to current model free if you are keen to do further comparison work. Or whoever buys it that want to update shoot in an email.

The list of parts you got, assume they work, is fine for 350rwkws on E85 fuel. Externally gated. Nistune with Z32 AFM will be fine for the application, I would install the AFM in cooler piping. MLS head gasket is not necessary, I would install a set of ARP head studs. You can change them one by one without replacing the stock head gasket Plumb back gate setup is not recommended, with a 3 inches turbo back exhaust it should be just fine to reach 350rwkws BOV is always recommended for longevity of the turbocharger.

Final result of a responsive 346rwkws @ 22psi on E85 fuel so far. Boost held perfectly till red line with plenty of power throughout rev range -
Following the current externally gated version ATR43SS-2 dated from June this year. Some modifications have made for them working internally gated as a Rb25det bolton upgrade. Finally got the car on dyno today and It pulled a pretty impressive 346rwkws internally gated on E85 fuel. R34 GTT, stock engine, usual intake, cooler, and 3 inches turbo back exhaust with 100 cell cat. Boost pressure held at steady 22psi all the way across and plenty of power through out rev range.

Nope, I got paid $10G back in the days for development. We had 3 good working prototypes, the best one ended up made 6.5psi of boost on a standard 14V battery. Client took the samples and that was it. With the latest brushless motors today, I should be able to do way better then that, perhaps when more spare time is available.
-
S2 head just made 635rwkws on E85 and 754rwkws on Nos. Neo head the highest so far was 570rwkws, I don't think its maxed, probably 650rwkws to a point that it won't be making any more power. Those are using stock cams with head studs.

Hi, thank u for the post, the ATR43SS-2 model is the latest and the most reponsive for 300rwkws mark with the external plumb back kit. Details at: https://hypergearturbos.com/product/atr43ss/
