  5. Check to see what KTX has to offer. You will want it to stay the same bore size and similar wheel height that has slightly bigger inducer. I do shaft balancing, custom housing profile and machining if u want to drop / send them in when ready.
  6. You find EFR turbine explodes into a million pieces once they over speed (while Garrett's snaps turbine head right off the shaft). Good idea to install a speed sensor and monitor rotor speed. Upsize comp wheel is relatively easy, install new front wheel, balance the chra, then profile and machine front housing.
  7. Quick product range update. Externally gated and externally gated plumb back rear housings are now available in a kit with turbosmart 45mm gate. They are good for sub 700whp applications, can work with all Garrett GT30/35 series cores as well as all Hypergear's High flows and ATR series. PM for details if interested.
  8. Assuming the intercooler is efficient. From the dyno reading, the compressor is unable to keep up with engine speed at holding constant boost pressure, its a usual indication that the compressor wheel is maxed out. At that point when wastegate is loaded to increase turbine speed, compressor discharge temp skyrockets. PS. I wouldn't worry too much about the graphs or data manufacture put out there, they will be apprximate depending on application.

Twicked this turbo alittle bit, Made same power, picked up another 500RPM of response and 100kws in mid range at same boost level or 23psi, still running out fuel even with an extra pump. I think the original version of SS3Pro would peek 70kws more at full capacity.

  11. Im on this page as I've been tagged. Im usually under Forced induction section. Lots of new developments, builts, results and videos has been added in last 4 years.
  12. TS T4 can build in .86 rear. I can re-configurate the wheel configuration to be reasonably responsive that makes the power. But will not be as responsive as in T3 .63 rear.
  13. T3 housing was used on that drift car and recommended to run on Rb25det motors.
  14. SS3Pro is a modern hybrid combination of a turbo. It came out of a mixed & matched wheel set during our R34 GTR turbo development. This one is very driveable with good power to boost ratio. It pulled 444awkws on 23PSI. Its then put on to an R33 drift car with a stock spec forged engine that pulled 456rwkws @ 24psi. All in by 4K This sort of power band would be a good street car or a track car.

  17. One more result to update. This is from a new version of ATR43SS-3 turbo. Car's an R33 GTST with a built Rb25det Neo motor with stock cams. Car managed to pull 466rwkws at @ 23psi, full boost by 4k, 520L fuel pump maxed.   20. Updating on SAU about the latest result of the R34 GTR test car: Back today at chequeredtuning with Tomei Pon cam Type B installed. Pretty interesting result to share as I never though it would make so much differences on a Rb26 engine. Using the same turbo and nothing else changed, car ended up making 444awkws @ 23psi, compare to stock cams, it made 31kws with 3psi less boost with waymore mid top end torque. It wasn't much laggier in response either. Car has: Stock R34 GTR Rb26 with APR head studs HKS Cam gears 0 inlet, 0 exhaust.   21. The surge slot is not there to improve performance. It is because GTX28 comp wheel will bend its shaft in solid housings, the surge slot is made preventing that problem. It looks like a T51R style sort of a insert, should make some induction noises. Anyway, Result from an earlier highflow we did. Red line is with solid housing, and blue is with antisurge slot.   22. In lots of cases you will find the turbine wheel explodes due to level of centripetal forces pulling against their tip blades before the ball bearing cartridges actually collapse. In Journal bearing system that turbo would be long gone due to thrust bearing wear before the wheels reach their limitations. For majority of built engines operating at 30~50psi they need to run on ball bearing cartridges.
