  1. reffering to the heads, open/closed chamber?
  2. Yes. And my old R33 ran 13.3@106mph 2.3 60ft with 170rwkw. 205 cheapo' tyres.
  3. Why must you have a 200rwkw printout? Speed and accelleration matters more.
  4. A real 170rwkw can get you a low 13. If you have a real 190rwkw it is possible to run 12.6. It doesn't matter really, if you like your car the ways it goes thats what matters. You of course will never be satisfied though, that is the illness we all suffer from.
  5. I respect that car since if I was using it as an artillery target it would help improve my aim.
  6. Yes 250rwhp and yet people with supposedly more (on a dyno) can't run that fast.... Perhaps the dyno should be used only as a tuning tool and not for a 'look at mine' sport. I totally believe a stock turbo can produce eleventy billion horsepower on a dyno (actually I don't really care) it's just that in the real world cars drive on roads not rollers so getting the stock turbo to run 12's on the 1/4 in a street trim R33 whale seems far more interesting.
  7. talk of racing here? hmmmm... these races being spoken about are all ''...ooooh look I just beat another 16 second NA two door skyline!" and " wow my suped up 4 door is so tough it runs 14.5's.." (insert pig like snort) these are the people saying to the two door gtst owners with stock turbo's running 12's " oh yeah? well thats a high flow " (pig like snort) "..and if my 4 door had one of those it would it would it would it wouldn't be here at the drags I'd be too afraid er.. sensible to even try to drive it for fear of my life being ended!" (two more pig like snorts) " besides I can get two female sows er girls in the back of my car and they all squeal like you know ....that time in the mountains...". Nerds....
  8. 12.6's....on the standard turbo, I bet you still get mugs trying to tell you you have a high flow. I remember the looks of disapointment people had when they looked under the bonnet of my old gtst. At least yours has some bling front mount and carbon bonnet for people to say 'ooh ahh' at in the lanes. I don't suppose the drag racing bug has you looking at altered dragsters yet does it? There's a category for people the french foregin legion won't let in. 250 shot ready yet?
  9. runs 12's without nitrous tho' on the stocker turbo.......
  10. BOBBO's new car does 600kms to a tank with the D-jetro, I remember Mike telling me how Danny proved it to him on a crusie. Mike since turfed his standard power FC and has the D-jetro now.
  11. here's a standard turbo running 7psi , standard spec rebuilt motor with a HKS 264 deg exhaust cam set at '0' deg. It has a S-afc and factory ecu, large bosch fuel pump (from when the motor ran nitrous). Runs a turbo back exhaust and factory intercooler. The rich mixtures are due to the fact that I was selling it to someone and I wanted it to be reliable from the get go. He was also not yet used to the power so the very mild tune was to keep him alive long enough to allow him to re-tune. The change to the exhaust cam took away the 'bump' even without the ecu upgrade. This car wherever it is could easily be tuned to run walk in the park high 12's even without a decent launch. Another example of how good the factory turbo is can be found in 2rismo's car, even without my old nitrous kit he was able to run into the 12's. With the kit switched on he runs 11's.
  12. Looks like the typical R33 factory graph that one. NIB is right the factory timing map does all that and nothing can be done about it save a replacement ecu. I seem to remember Paul got 300rwhp or so out of his stock turbo too?
  13. Install is very very easy. do it yourself and become super tuner man! Seriously it's just as the instructions suggest there are only a few wires to cut and even these you get male/female plugs supplied so if you ever take the safc out you can just join them back up again.
  14. Ha ha! good one mate! Funny thing is someone probably did this in real life, theres always someone stupid doing things you would never even dream of somewhere in the world. Nothing like putting sand into the motor to farquar it. People like that must wonder why factories put air filters on to stop sand going into the engine lol
  15. got to remember that the dyno is a tuning aid at the end of the day. There is some value in relative comparisons but, not something people need to get hung up on if their car is doing what they want on the road or track. If your tuner is handing the car back to you with improved power characteristics this is what matters. Some R33 gtst 200rwkw+ cars have run against my old R33 gtst (dyno of 170rwkw) and had an ass whipping both in 1/4 mile time and terminal speed.
  16. Also whether the bonnet is up or down can make a difference too.
  17. Ignition system seems to play a part in the power differences perhaps. I notice that many of the curves are similar on 240/50rwhp cars to the 300ish ones, with the difference coming in up top. If the spark isn't as clean this could account for the power difference. The coils and wires under the cover get very very hot and this effects resistance and reduces the efficiency of wires over time with heat cycling.
  18. my eyes! MY EYES!
  19. sarcasim it makes the thread go round.
  20. So what your saying is that Nissan didn't 'make' and 4 door GTRs? Thanks for the clarification. Autech's name is mud because they even did this disgusting conversion to a wagon that has 5 doors! They might have 'collector' value now but, the cars themselves were not good value for money back in their day ,people knew it and didn't buy them they bought R33 GTRs. As a car to drive they are even worse value for money. So they might have drepreciated less, if your spending $50k on this car for an investment your clearly investing money foolishly as you would be investing in any GTR in the Australian market.
  21. Sure it ran in the jap grand prix one year in gt 2 class (nerd mobile class) and didn't even win that, lost to two door cars actually. Around the rest of the world their motor racing success was well....not sucessfull at all.
  22. Then as now the 'Prince' is faggy little girls car. It wasn't considered a supercar in its day as the two godzilla variants later were. Nissan was renowned for peices of poor quality crap for many years. The only thing a GTR owner is thankfull for is that the ecconomically stupid (reflected by the low sales) idea of making the Prince didn't sink the company before it had a chance to do something good in later years.
