  1. never heard of making the firing order go round in a circle but sounds quite interesting.... any physics behind this you can explain?
  2. both built motors = supra still cheaper. 3.4 stroker kit is like 8 grand as opposed to 30+ for the OS giken kit. yes i know we have access to RB30's etc but just pointing out that supras are still cheaper to mod because of the massive amount of development from the US, who dont charge ludicrious amounts of money for there parts

  4. just to clarify, car went on the dyno a couple of hours ago, no gate at all we saw ~13psi, then backed off again as it didnt flatten out, it just kept going up and up. nismoid, and other expressing the same opinions, the exhaust was dropped, and oh my god, YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED...... nothing. nice try though guys, your wealth of experience shines through again.... still waiting on that explanation as to how a restrictive exhaust will cause creeping? kyle himself has said there is a number of factors, and that we should try a bigger gate etc, f*ck knows why but hes pretty assertive that his manifold is fine and we should either put on a restrictive exhuast and/or weld the gate to the exhaust housing... for those who say the gate is too small, an XR6T, although it has a bigger exhaust housing, is still a 4L motor and can be held so low (like 4psi) by its little internal gate, theres no way a 44mm exernal, atmo venting gate cant hold this thing to 15psi

  6. never heard of the GTR being king of the streets but yes brakes are better and 4wd obviously. supras are better value for money because they maintained the same design while the skyline spanned 3. that said a 2001-2002 manual RZ would be getting up there with cheap GTRs in terms of price, since GTRs have come down so much

  8. not really, although it does offer a slight safety buffer over 98, one you probly dont need anyway provding your car has a decent tune
  9. hey guys, had some prics go through my car overnight a couple of times in the last month or two, so am looking for something cheap i can rig up myself. idealy something that will see a 12V signal and send a signal to a remote pager. range doesnt need to be much, like less than 50m, but bigger would be better for whe i go out and stuff. please no comments of 'what if you go out there and hes got a gun' or anything like that, i am well aware of the dangers. yes i could just start locking my doors and avoid the whole situation but i'd rather break legs

  11. yeah only issues with supra gearboxes are the W58's (non turbo) when people turbo there car. the supra box is tougher than any skyline box (exclusing R35 obviouslym as its an unknown) bar the 34 GTR, because its the same box.

  13. yeah his manifold has one small stub plus the extra bit welded on, which i believe was a 90 degree bend almost straight down. i think im the only one with pics of the motor before it went into the car and unfortunately u cant see the gate in any of em
  14. most supras are built over here for dyno comps, they can be set up to go quick on the quater easy, just need to look to the US for how to do it. that purple supra from millenium ran 10.0 with a 2.2 60ft, when that gets sorta its easily gonna run mid 9's, and i think hes on radials aswell, not slicks, could be wrong on that htough

  16. hey try this on for size f*ck head. im with andrew every time he goes to RE, i know what is going on with the car, and i have to be a parrot coz clearly you cant f*cking read. how many times has it been mentioned that the gate was detoured to eliminate it as a possibility
  17. what is the diameter of the port anyway? maybe add another port to the side a bit and blend it in before the gate if theres enough room?

  20. are you serious nismoid? the car was run with no gate and it still made boost, do you even read the posts or what?
  21. backpressure because of a crap exaust causes boost to drop off though doesnt it? not creep. 44mm gate was what i told him to get, and i cant see how it would be too small. im still having trouble figuring out how a restrictive exhaust would cause a turbo to spool with a 44mm gate held completely open?
  22. bingo, how is dropping the exhaust gonna help? its an atmo gate? if anything a restrictive exhaust will cause boost to drop off wouldnt it?

  24. 2 lines to the gate, they are the right way around as we checked them with a diagram (Me and the mechanic both went over it at the same time) atmo gate, exhasut wont matter boost controller is AVCR set everything to minimum (basically turned off) so should be running of the spring only. current test is holding gate completely open to see if its flowing adequately
  25. it also seems to have a bit of a step in it (on dyno graph), a very big step so kinda ruled out a bigger spring in it
