    Bloody Builders

start putting chains and locks between fences hwile all there machinery is in there, then start recording them with a camcorder and tell them your gonna press charges for tresspassing if they go on your land lol
  2. hey im driving a third gen prelude like the one above..... haha yeh actally they are pretty feral.
  3. with the wanr settings: injectors - is that 98% duty cycle? AFM, doesnt the AFM top out before 5v?
  4. i'd say yes worth upgrading. most are pretty old so lacking some design/technology of newer turbs but will flow heaps more than your standard turbo. post up some pics, and is there any writing on the comp cover/exhaust housing at all
  5. what manifold/gate do you run al?
  6. im not a tuner but it seems like you have a fair bit of timing, not only in the cruise region but in the high load/revs area. are you just using the PFC to monitor knock? your using a wideband to monitor A:F ratio? what gear have you been tuning in?
  7. yes. i've seen a few of these things driving around on the road, although they arent very common, you can get them registered. theres a company down here that builds them with LS1's up front. they want like $120k for one though.... FFS i cant remember what company it is though, someone jog my memory for me
  8. the 'guage' reading the boost is a dyno-dynamics dyno thats sees way too many cars on it to not show up a faulty sensor like that 666DAN, yes, with a big gaping hole in the manifold, the car made 13psi @ ~5000rpm and was still steadily climbing GeeTR, the new pickup for the wastegate is right under the turbo flange, sort of angled with the direction of flow, pointing up and off to the side of the turbo flange, and its on the very right side (looking at front of the car) that was the last time i saw it, i believe it was then blended in with the other one before the gate, but dunno whats happened since then
  9. check for vaccum leaks
  10. use series 2 NA block or any turbo block. series 1 NA block doesnt have tapped holes for oil and water lines etc. both turbo blocks have them obviously but so too did the sereies 2 NA block
  11. DRIFTER ^ timing is reasonably advanced, still got the .86 housing
  12. 15psi spring in the gate, thats the lowest he can go, and its not an unreasonably low amount of boost, it should be able to hold it there, but it cant, it spikes up and over 20psi
  13. just some reading i've done has shown up another RB30DET, running the same gate, same turbo, in general a very similar setup, only major diff is the manifold. this car holds 11psi, and keeps it there. car runs standard cams etc too i think and andrews car is running 3" catback exhaust . surely you would not expect anything more restrictive than that? *no cat apparently* gate will not be welded to the exhaust housing, its just not happenening.
  14. dont bother with SAFC. PFC cheapie front mount kit fuel pump (maybe)
  15. i used to watch in on foxtel, bloody awesome show, love seeing what they can build out of basically nothing except scrap steel, some amazing engineering that goes n when you really look at what they achieve
  16. dont think so, its the first thing i said to the tuner, but with the gate on, it got up to around .9 bar, started to flatten off then started creeping up again, indicating it should have the right spring in there. also note those boost figures were generated at like 5k, tuner backed off when he saw it keep climbing. the gate may be on the smaller side, but its obviously not the main issue here, i mean 13psiw ith no gate at all and still climbing rather rapidly. we shall find out soon anyway, hopefully we'll know results in the next few days/week
  17. well manifold has been modified now, no word on results yet
  18. if you catch somebody breaking into your car, arent u aloud to 'restrain' them with reasonable force?
  19. remember reading bout someone that did it, full built motor and GTR head etc, made like 150rwkw, realllyyy not worth it
  20. car is looking to make a bit over 350 at ~20psi, maybe a lil bit more. i think this thread sorta came about because kyle (6boost guy) said he needs a bigger gate, even though the car was making ~13psi @ ~5krpm with no gate on it what so ever.... but for the purpose of this thread, do you think the 44mm will be big enough? i told him it would be lol, so dont make me look like a c*nt
  21. mate had his tweets mounted in the sail panels (plastic triangle bit u mentioned), and worked quite well, just depends on what tweeters you get and how they sound 'off-axis' and how much you angle them. as a general rule aim for the opposite side front seat headrest if you wish to retain boot space then custom fibreglass box will be the way to go
  22. if you can afford a GTR (and to put a tow bar on one) aswell as a dedicated track car, then you can afford a dirty old XD tow car, or similar

  24. its a VL and the only thing worth stealing is a $300 head unit, and believe me, i will more than make up for $300. as said, alarm means they will run, i need time to get out of bed, wake up enough to comprehend the situation, arm up, and get out there before they can run. i've already got it worked out how its gonna be rigged up, B1 is on the right track, i just need a reciever that when it sees 12v will page me. been trolling the jaycar page but cant find all that much for specifically what i need. there is a full alarm/pager etc for 300 but meh, dont wanna spend that much on this car lol
