    Plenum "bodies"

  4. if i remember correctly thats eddy tassones car, he built that after his commodore. lol @ 230, theres been alot of controversy over this i dont think thats A:F ratio on the graph, dunno what it is, maybe another cars graph to compare?
  5. your tuner should be able to do it
  6. ahahah vive la mexico indeed

    Americana

watch a few eps of top gear and you'll see not all those terms arent as american as you think
  8. go for 6000k max, the higher kelvin temp you go, the more blue you get, the more your eyes strain and you fatiuge. anything above 6k is just a waste
  9. i had to service a couple of cars.... but im not a mechanic and it wasnt 'at work' so to speak, so i got to enjoy the nice hot sun, aswell as 2 hot sump bolts and 2 handfuls of nice hot motor oil, aswell as the hot tarmac burning my back (yes i was working in the street, garage was full lol)
  10. yeh that was sorta my idea, but leave the crap turbo on, then when it blows replace it with something decent, hoping it will last long enough that i can save up for something decent in that time though lol
  11. well its going on a VL so its not like its gonna be a big sacrifice if (when) it goes bang. and since when did KKR have a high rate of failure? touch wood i've never heard of one failing
  12. so you think i can get manifold, dump pipe, external gate, speedflow lines, and a KKR turbo for $800? ever heard that saying 'tell 'im hes dreamiinnn' a few guys on the VL forums have used the cheap turbos to success, one guy built 6 different cars all with monsta gear and as far as i know they are all still running around, one was making ~260rwkw too. i asked him and he told me that monsta have turned to sh*t in more recent times. im not trying to say they're great turbos, im asking why they arent, read my posts again. and from all the threads i've read, across numerous forums, i have persoanlly found more people having success with them than those having failures. and by this i mean people who have actually used em, not 'my friends cousins dog knew a bloke that saw it on tv' PS- can i afford a rebuild? no. can i afford a $100 motor to replace a f*cked one? yes
  13. turbo + manifold + external gate + dump + speedflow oil feed and return line for $400.... not much else in that price range. i do believe what everyone else way saying, i just thought they werent balanced, and this one was balanced, so thought it might be a goer, hence this thread. might give it a go anyway, then bolt on a decent turbo later when it lets go... its just so damn cheap lol
  14. hey found a turbo kit pretty cheap, its basically monsta gear but the turbo is not, it still appears to be a cheap sh*t knock off. anyway, i'm lead to believe that these cheap turbos have proven to be so unreliable through lack of balancing, but the one im looking at seems as though it has. now, question is, are these cheap shit turbos not balanced at all, or do they still get balanced, just badly? if the crap ones dont get balanced, well then im faithful that this turbo might have some life in it endlighten me! cheers, Ben PS - first posted with 'dont bother, your wasting your time' and not backing it up with something, gets kicked in the face lol
  15. hrmm didnt know they had catalogs going by size etc. but yeh was thinking of getting something else and making it fit if its cheap, and easy enough to fit thanks for that
  16. hey guys, not for a skyline, its for an 88 prelude. plastic end tank has sperated from core (i think, hard to see while its still in the car) and was wondering if there is any sort of adhesive or such that i can use to seal it up/join it back together. wanna spend as little as possible as its a cheap shit car. at the point sikaflex is topping the list but i dont like my chances hahhaha, i need something realistic what do they use from the factory? what would a radiator joint do if i took it to em? fix or replace? what are my options bar replacing the damn thing? cheers, Ben PS - i was gonna ring a radiator joint but got home too late and doubt they'll be open tmr, even so i'll be working passed their closing time.

  18. midway is a joint near me (dunno where else they are). ring some fabrication shops and ask em who supply them with stainless, or if they know any places you can get it from (without a trade account) or even if they will let you buy some through them
  19. where are you located? ring midway or something like that
  20. they do look very nice, but damn, $350 for a 3-1 collector.... seems pretty pricey
