the lensos are a good cheap rim. and if you want some wider rims later you can get the same style but wider. these rims are avalible everywhere if you ask the right people and you can buy them individualy even thoe the salesmen say no. my thoughts on wheels for r33s is not to get somthing with any kind of dish if its as small as 17" you idealy want somthing that has spokes that come right out to the edge to make the rims look big as an r33 will swallow small looking rims. these dont come in the right size but somthing that looks like this origin wheel. http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/origin/ the origin dna02 is the one im talking about. cst hyper zero is also a good rim but i dont think they come in the desired size either.

Damo's R32 Gts-r, On Going Project Fun Car. History And Use Full Info
DJRIFT replied to DJRIFT's topic in Motorsport Builds
just a small update. these are the pipes before being welded and polished. just for the haters. a gtr seat mounted on the stock seat mounts. hot side cooler piping done. one pice turbo to cooler. this would be about the 10th revision of my cooler piping since i got the car. engine dampener welded up. still have to fabricate mount on the engine side. dump pipe braces to gear box to help cracking. i was going to heat wrap it but decided i better put a bung in for a wide band at some stage. And the front wheels painted for now. rears are awaiting final coat. hot side cooler piping was finished tonight just needs to be welded. -
whist yes its cheating and cheating is bad. its only cheating if you get court out. it would be good to know half the stuff thats done that doesnt get picked up on. somthings are also good engerneering and can help outher people out. if the engerneers didnt have to think outside the box there would never be any new developments.

A Boy's Love For His Rb20

theory and reality dont always go hand in hand. we have a dyno proven 295rwkw stock internal rb20 with a rx6 turbo on a stock exhaust manifold running at the circuit. most people would say thats not possible. mainly the stock manifold bit. the thing is at the end of the day were happy to trial somthing different just the same as you are but we havent had the luxuary to trial it back to back. we will more so just look for the small details and compare it to similar modded rb20s we're involved with. if it has such dier results im sure they will pop up. while we both love to jaw off about how cool it is, we arent going to market them to the world so we dont need a fancey dyno proven figure to tell people what they will do. i initaly did mine as a cost cutting exercise as a plazman was to expencive for what it was. a custom made welded thing would have cost similar due to paying a profesional to weld it all up and the setup i have ment i made 95% of it at home so the cost was only in the odd bits i needed. -

oh see i was always of the impression that the dyno picked up engine RPM by one of the probes as you can pick up RPM from just clamping onto the battery for example. so i would have thought that comparing engine parameters like spool time ect would be better done back to back with true engine rpm as like a KW reading there is several factors that play a part. just strapping a car down tighter can change a reading. i can easily see where road speed can be used but if your trying to compare apples with apples shouldnt the most constant of all variables be used? -

a question. why do you use road speed rather than rpm? i have never had anything done with road speed so i dont understand it. -
yea but what did it cost to build, thats the point to this descusion not how cheap you can buy a built race car. but your point is still valid.

thoes carbon doors look sic ben. we better get some paint on them before targa.

hey all. im putting my daily up for sale as even thoe ive been wanting a streeter for the past few years i just dont have the time or money to modify or keep improving the car. i brought it aprox 8 months ago as an unregoed car in need of some tlc. we stripped the interior and gave it a good once over replacing any broken bits. the only bits im not happy with is the drivers side door trim is ratty and it doesnt have a factory steering wheel. the exterior is ok with a few minor dents but some of the pannels have faded. the roof and bonnet and drivers door. i cut and polished the roof and bonnet when i got it and that made it better, im unsure if a profeshional would be able to fix it. specs. 1989 r32 gtst 4 door. bluey silver colour stock body. currently being painted is type M front bar and hole less boot lid. stock wing also avalible. 17x9.5 and 17x8.5 work equips. genuine 3 pice rims. the fronts have recently been pulled apart and restored, rears are original. new 235 45 595 ss federals fitted to the front. 245 45? bridgestones on rear 70% Sydney kid Bilstines fitted front and rear. lucky to be 10,000km old. with whiteline rear springs and un known fronts. rides nice and comfy for long trips. stock rb20det with stock side mount and air box. new studs and baskets on exhaust side. r33 turbo. stock dump and front. stock cat. 3" cat back with added HKS muffler to quieten the exhaust. interior has GTR front and rear seats. HKS boost gauge in Greddy single pillar mount. Imolia steering wheel. Very jdm crenter console. original skyline floor mats bar the passenger one that is MIA. Alpine wiz bang cd player with jaycar amp. MTX audio splits rear and alpine front speakers not hooked up. this car has the makings of being a good streeter. i sound like an old fuddy duddy talking about quiet exhaust but you soon get sick of listening to a droney exhuast for 4 hours return from hobart. ive been over this car trying to maintain and restore it into a nice daily that never gives any trouble. come to think of it its never let me down once. im chasing 9,000 ono and will remove front GTR seats and wheels to lower the asking price.

the black evo 9 that won its class at last years event. i dont know what class it was in. that would have had close to 6 figures thrown at it. even thoe it was mainly just bolt on stuff some one has to bolt the shit in and tune it ect ect. i got to work on it when it landed in tassie and there was quite a few expensive bits on it. a work shop down here biulds the latest model WRXs to tarmac or gravel trim using mainly sti and factory bits and with the purchase of the car it cost excess off 100 000 so i cant see how this evo with 2.4l big turbo e85 ect could be build much cheaper. but i ony work on nissans, and cheap nissans so i couldnt really say either way looks like ill be making the trim up. ill start planning weather to come by plane or car.

could you crack the 400 with an un opened motor? running an airflow meter. most aussie tuners whould go bonkers at that power on an air flow meter. -
try revolution race gear in hobart. Hamish is very helpfull. you can also use bike helmets.
