  5. Could use a Z32 ecu It is remappable, has VCT function, it may even run the RB30DET with out a remap (provided you used the same size injectors/afm etc)
  6. Yeah, I'm guessing the place where we stop for BBQ would be up on the mountains, or past it or something, I don't know where it is exactly I just know the meet up points before we get there. I shall PM you the details.

  9. I'm building an RB25/30 at the moment to go into my cefiro, I'm not sure if there are going to be bonnet closing issues. In the members rides under the 4door section of this forum a guy has put an RB30 into his laurfiro, I asked if he had issues with clearances and he said no, so hopefully it'll be fine.

  11. Ah yes, it's funny how slightly different search queries can end up with completely different results. But that's what I needed to see, there is photo of the adaptor plates, which shows the difference in flange between the 26 manifolds and the 20/25 heads. Using an adaptor plate seems like the logical option, but i'll need to use 2 head-manifold gaskets
  12. The meeting point is in goldy, then the bbq point is about an hour from there, which technically is still in the gold coast.

  14. Hey, I want to fit twin turbos to my RB25/30 combo. From what I've read, there are two options... Either modify the GTR manifolds to fit the RB25 head, or hit up some aftermarket avenues for some custom manifolds. I did try searching the subject both within this forum and on the rest of the internet but most I could find was a couple cases where they had modified the GTR manifolds to fit the 25 or 20 head (manifolds are compatible between RB20 and 25). Does anyone know how much modification is required to get the GTR manifolds going on the 25 head? Alternatively, does anyone know if VG30DETT manifolds will work on an RB25 head? Thanks -Luke
  15. When you say std RB20, do you mean it was rebuilt to standard specs? or just as is completely standard with just turbo, injectors and plenum? Obviously there are other accessories like catch cans/oil coolers and what-not, but they are more reliability accessories.

  20. Nice, I'm about to embark on the RB30DET in my cefiro, lots of people are doing them but mainly to skylines I haven't seen one in a cefiro before. Are you having any issues with bonnet clearance? Because from what I read it is an issue with the skylines and they need to either space the crossmember down, cut the engine mounts, or chop some of the bonnet bracing.

  22. I will probably upgrade the cams, from what I've read you can upgrade to 256 on the inlet camshaft and still retain VCT. Then I'll probably put adjustable gear on the exhaust side (also upgraded camshaft). The Z32 ecu certainly seems like a good option. The aftermarket ECU I was planning on using hasn't been released yet, but it has all of the features I want for a price similar to a standard ecu with the nisstune add on. I guess I'll leave the ECU/wiring until after the engine is ready to go in, then if the ecu I want still isn't available then I will go the Z32 + nisstune option.

  24. Well it's going in a cefiro, and the RB20 and 26 ECU's don't support VCT, or is that something that is fixed when the nistune daughter board is installed. Plan was to either use an RB25 loom (to suit the head) and modify it to suit the cefiro and the Z32 ECU Or, use the loom that's in the car at the moment (R32 RB20 loom) and modify that to suit the RB25 head, and the Z32 ECU
