  1. I left at about 9:45- 10 and saw 3 cops cars on there way down Hepburn ave. Glad I left now It was an awesome turnout though, I think for once the R32's outnumbered the R33's
  2. I think I've read the same article. I believe the outcome was it let you run timing similar to race gas but compared to the same amount of petrol it runs a few points leaner so you have to add slightly more to get the AFR's right. Liter for liter E10 has less energy content over non-ethanol fuel so you will lose some economy .
  3. Is Sunday the better day to go? I couldn't find a program or anything
  4. I got the same thing... but I'm 19 so I guess its expected Better get the lube ready for my next just cars premium
  5. Any updates on this?
  6. Do you think valve float will be an issue at 1.5bar? I can't wait to get started on my setup, its such a shame parts costs money
  7. MRPREZ, are you hitting 1.2bar at the same amount of revs or did the cams help it spool a bit better?
  8. Just wait for the first undercover R33 to get pulled over for no reason by his fellow officers. I'd pay good money to see that
  9. Seems like a good idea to me. It would turn into a mini car show with all the parts and peoples cars scattered around. Anyone know what it takes to hire out a undercover carpark on a sunday or something?
  10. Water rubbing compound, you can also use it on rims aswell. Comes in a tub similar to polishs and should be in the same area of your favourite automotive place. A claybar might help the exhaust burn
  11. what does it cost? (considering I'm unemployed at the moment )
  12. I have the shifter minus the little white plastic bit on the end that was left over from a short shifter conversion. Let me know if you want it
  13. My guess would be the AAC valve. Failing that the idle control valve on the throttle body. Clean both and see how you go
  14. Standard turbo would flow 270 rwhp with all the support mods. What mods have you done sofar? Fast spool and 220-240rwkw (~300hp) would be the TD05-16G. You can get them of Mitsubishi Evo's.
  15. I think you'd be going a step back with the TD04. Look here for a heap of info on Mitsu Turbo's - http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/sho...ead.php?t=26477 I'd be looking at atleast a TD06-20G or a later series Evo TD05 for response if you want to use a Mitsu turbo
  16. I've been looking at cheap RB20 power ups to reach 300rwhp and it looks like the TD05H-16G is what I'm after. Key word there is cheap... I know its plain bearing and all the rest, so please don't turn this into a Ball bearing vs. the world thread. Also, the turbo isn't the trust version that has the 3 bolt flange (see pic, its from an Evo 3) The main problem I'm having is how I'm going to mount it. My first idea was to get a china high mount and weld a new flange on it to suit. I've kind of turned off this idea because I'd have to fabricate new cooler piping and any normal dump pipe would be upside down and I'd have to modify it even further. Second idea is to use the standard manifold and get an adapter. Only problem here is I don't know what flange it is. I've seen it mentioned as T28 but the dump pipe flange only has 4 bolts (should be 5 like SR20 dumps?). Is it some kind on mongrel flange that only Mitsubishi use? I'd like to be able to use an after market dump pipe and chop my current dump/front pipe to make it all fit. Can anyone see a better way of getting it to fit? Thanks for the help
  17. Will it fit a GTS-T? If so I'll take it EDIT: Apparently it would... The GTR takes a different oil filter but the thread is exactly the same. PM Sent
  18. Famous last words Maybe my high mount will be ready by then...
  19. Thread revival time I just read the entire thread back to front so I may be a little incoherent Roy's TD06 gave me a little inspiration to do some research into Mitsu turbo's and I'm very impressed. Found this page for specs - http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/sho...ead.php?t=26477 I'm leaning towards the TD05H-16G at the moment for a goal of 300rwhp (~225kw). Is this being realistic? There seem to be alot of slightly different turbo variations ranging from 340 - 400hp. The main goal is just to have a streetable car thats a bit faster than your average RB20. Anything over 300rwhp would be a bonus, a very very nice bonus A few questions for the wise... since the turbo is only oil cooled, will I have to get an oil cooler to keeps temperatures down? Is a high or low mount setup recommended? My plan is to get a china manifold and chop the T3 flange off an weld on a new one to suit, likewise the dump pipe (though slightly more work...) Lastly, will the internal gate be alright or should I be looking at an external gate and weld the internal up? Thanks in advance -Matt
  20. Have you still got a remote? Only way you can clone them is with learning key fobs from jaycar or dick smith if they sell them. They only work for non code hopping remote though and you need a working remote to clone. I'd say you'll have to rip it out and get a new one
  21. Goto some of the ossie park panel and paint shops and offer them cash After someone rear ended me I got a quote for $200 for a rear bar on a corrolla in metalic paint, cashie's rock
  22. I might give it a miss then, apparently there not as good on the RB20 as I first thought Cheers anyway
  23. I'll offer 350 inc post on the VG30 turbo
  24. Without the actuator holding it in place the waste gate would open under throttle. The waste gate spring is surprising strong, theres a fair bit of force needed to hold the thing shut
  25. Looks awesome What kind of air compressor and spray gun did you use? I wanna try this some day
