  1. They're probably getting ready for there blitz for the footy finals and leading up to summer.... Was reading in the Age that they're gonna be absolutely everywhere... I think I must be lucky - I've had my Skyline for four months now and only received three fines...
  2. Best thing I've found is a buffer and cutting compound... Just be very, very careful when buffing! Otherwise some toothpaste, CD buffing compound or any other mild abrasive cutting compound should do the trick.
  3. I've seen people cop speeding fines on pushbikes - Bracks must really have been after every dollar!

    new drug tester

They said in The Age (Vic) this morning that it would primarily be targetted at truckies & large rave events.
  5. You might find that it's the speakers and not the parcel shelf doing the vibrating - for some reason the rubber surrounds around the speakers deteriorate so quickly in Japan... When I pulled mine out, there was nothing left of the surrounds, the cones were just free to buzz around as much as they wanted. New speakers - much better!
  6. Regarding the air con "click, click"... I read on a Skyline site/forum somewhere that it is simply a worn nylon air box gear. (At least that's what my air con "click, click" is). Yes, it would be expensive to pay someone to fix it, they'd have to dismantle the entire dash. But, I also heard that the air box is common to a standard Aussie Nissan, with the part available for about $20.00 from Nissan themselves.... I just can't remember the part no! So if anyone knows it, I'd love to know - I'll pull my dash apart myself to fix the problem!
  7. I've heard that the factory 200sx towbar will fit (read it in another thread somewhere - do a search.)
  8. You must have clicked a link on the page... Burnett does host the site and has links back to their main page everywhere, but I promise you, it's there! (And saved me many a time!) The link it provides me from the RoadWatch site to actually search is: http://www.roadwatch.com.au/scripts/hsrun....nvironmentid=96 Try pasting that into browser and see if it helps!
  9. Best site for speed cameras is www.roadwatch.com.au. It again is only a list of possible speed cameras, but is kept constantly updated and is nationwide (I believe.. I'm in Vic, I just did a NSW test and they came up...) You can also separate the mobile speed cameras/lasers from the fixed ones (definately handy to know where all the new fixed red light/speed cameras are!)
  10. (and not "pop it in" for that matter, I'm sure that's been accomplished!)
  11. From someone else here who only knows you in bits & bytes, a big congratulations, Ambz! Now, who's gonna be the first one to pop a baby out in the back of a Skyline??
  12. I read a post somewhere (somewhere... read sooooooooo many posts lately!) that someone had used the internal speaker bracket from a VS Commodore to fit 6½" speakers into their Skyline. Otherwise, if you're opposed to the Commonwhore parts in Skyline blasphemy, buy some 6", not 6½" speakers...
  13. If you can give me the model number (should be on speaker magnet) I can give you the RRP.....
  14. Sounds like the damage wasn't as bad as I would expect from a roo, guess you weren't going that quick at the time. (I've been a bit worried about them, every time I leave the family property I have to dodge at least 200-300 roos after the front gate!) I'm more worried about the bloody wombats! You can hit them without even seeing it! But if a roo ever gets through the windscreen after being hit - GET OUT OF THE CAR! The burns from sliding along the bitumen at 100-120km/h are actually much better than the cuts you receive from 2 inch roo claws thrashing about! Oh, and did anyone read about the bus driver in NSW that got sacked cos' he didn't swerve for some ducklings, putting his passengers lives above the animals??? I hope the bus company gets sued...
  15. I just buffed mine with the rest of the car on the w/end... looks schmick! Can't tell the difference between them and glass now! Not sure how long they'll last though - the Brasso trick only lasted about a month.
  16. Unfortunately we don't have this luxury in Vic anymore... Police in Vic were given wider powers to search for contraband and such in your vehicle, leaving you wide open to having defects found. This also applies under the bonnet. They're almost treating your vehicle as a public space, that's how they managed to almost introduce a smoking ban inside your vehicle.
  17. Would be interested in both an XL tee and a sticker if at all poss.. Let me know how you go with the count and whether you'll be printing and sizes other than small...
  18. Hippy - see PM.
  19. I saw 20 people get done during RBTs between 5.30am & 9am at one spot!!! Yup, it was Sunday morning... People forget, alcohol can stay in your body for MANY hours... if you hit it really hard on Saturday night you'll still have a reading on Sunday. Unfortunately forgetting you had a drink the night before is not an acceptable excuse.
  20. Hate to do this, but I'm in that area and looking for suspension bits... PM me too??
  21. G'day Hippy, Just installed some in my R33 front doors on w/end - they're definately 6" (152.4mm) speakers. The ones I have just squeeze into the rectangular speaker location. 6½" wont fit.
  22. Beauty - I'll have the AP12 added to the application listing so no one will have trouble finding an antenna for a Skyline again. Thanks Ronin09...
  23. Did the AP12 fit your factory antenna?? Aerpro have a specific listing for Nissan's (AP252). The AP12 is meant to fit the antennas manufactured by Aerpro, not any OEM vehicles (except Ford & Hondas... the Aerpro ones are OEM...) Oh, what series R33 do you have?
  24. Ooops... should have read your sig... Would've realised you'd have the stuff already! Give us a yell if you've got any probs, might be able to find a new one for you.
  25. Ok, DON"T USE WD40!!!!! WD40 is a silicone spray, it will insulate the individual parts of the aerial from each other and your aerial wont work properly anymore! What you need to do is use Electrical Contact Cleaner (available at Jaycar, DSE, etc) to clean anything (including the WD40 you just put on) off. Then use some sort of petroleum-based jelly (Vaseline) on it. KY wouldn't work, it's water-based...
