it doesn't have '2NV' or 'SXC' in it, so your plates have gotta be worth something I like your plates now, compliments the car -
Has Your V Been Mistaken As Something Else?
Yo-Yo replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Driving home from my g/f's place in the afternoon I see a silver astra dodging through traffic in a mad rush in my rearview mirror. Slows down to the speed limit as he rides along side, see him wave and thumbs up I return the gesture. We end up side by side at a set of lights, his car has a milo tin fart cannon, ozzytyres black rim with machine lip and HSV badgery all over He rolls down his window (I already had mine down) and says "mate, I've never seen a jap car I like but that's nice!" I thank him, saying I like his wheels "Is that 370kw?" I thought to myself he had obviously spied the 370gt badge on the back, I was thinking I really should educate him on the finer points of how it reflects the model range and displacement of the engine, but the light turned green so I grinned, nodded my head and we continued on our way -

What Happens When A V35 And A 350z Mate....
Yo-Yo replied to GoldV35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
That's what happens when a V36 and 370Z mate with a bit of GTR-esque engine thrown in for good measure console looks like it was taken from a supra though lol -
What Happens When A V35 And A 350z Mate....
Yo-Yo replied to GoldV35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
even the US maxima looks so much better than the Aus one, it's just not right someone mentioned the tiida earlier, the Us get those but are called the versa/sentra in us, sentra has different frontbar i think and is like a mini maxima, versa is pretty much a tiida with a better frontbar looks wise imo -
2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible
Yo-Yo replied to FlyingEL's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
A)haha no never driven one, just go by the always ironclad opinion of top gear B) Yeah I know, like I said I can see it being the new accessory for trustfund babies and the like I think it looks funny with the top up, the rear quarter window line looks so out of place, but it does have a sense of style about it top down -
Buyers regret bro, everyone gets it. You make mistakes to learn from them, so you know better for next time As everyone has said, wear and tear can happen with any car, burnouts and clutching kicking don't help either It does sound like the people giving you advice on beforehand have never owned a turbo car and if they did they obviously hadn't taken care of it properly. You'll find most stories of turbos F*cking up fast are more from the owners doing stupid things like overboosting the stock turbo, ghetto modding or just plain thrashing it/ never servicing it anyway, hope you aren't out of pocket too much. But you definitely won't regret going from n/a to turbo skyline

2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible
Yo-Yo replied to FlyingEL's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Well, I guess the convertible could be the sc430 for people who want a car that can halfway handle and go a helluva lot sexier than a Vw Eos, I can see it being the new handbag addition for a lot of spoilt 17 y.o Hilton wannabes in beverly hills the 7 speed auto sound interesting -
ECR33 is a model code, from memory it is the "C" in the model code that indicates your car has the HICAS steering system. AFAIK it has nothing to do with your car being turbo or not, as there are also ECR33's that are GTS25t an Rb25de has a few things different to the DET such as a higher a compression ratio etc, so while it may be so that there is an s version with 7 extra kw from factory, it's still an rb25de, you'd still have to follow the same turbo conversion process turbo r33's go for cheap these days so even if you went the whole hog of a turbo converion, 5 stud and gtst spec brakes, new engine management system you'd end up spending more for the conversion than selling your car for whatever you can get and buying a gts-t

I've clayed the stock 19's on my v36 as they had some stains on them when I bought it. Stains were impossible to remove but they definitely look better than they did before Would claying affect different finishes like shadow/chrome?

Steering Pulls When Braking?
Yo-Yo replied to joeleo87's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Again as other have said it's most likely a seized caliper, but I thought I'd share my experience as food for thought... I had a similar problem in my old r34 when my front camber or toe bushes were shot but also had a slight wheels shudder everytime the car hit 110 on the highway. I had the wheels re-aligned twice before I realised I needed some new bushes, the first time the alignment got rid of the problem, but came back over time so I had my suspension checked out some new bushes, castor arms and a wheel balance/alignment and the problem was solved. -
Another 1 for wicked ink penrith, got mine done there, facilities were very clean and was happy with the result. Felt like I was in a hospital room more than a tatt shop lol I think Kiwi kim used to work at wicked ink? I could be mistaken...

Spotted my old car today cruising around rouse hill town centre still looking like it did the day I sold it, glad he kept on the LMGT3's rather than put on some random tiawanese 20's he was mentioning sort of gave me back my modding bug having seen it

Has Your V Been Mistaken As Something Else?
Yo-Yo replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I just parked my car at the shops and started walking to the entrance, two young girls walking past not realising I was the owner of the car, overheard one of them ask the other... "is that an aston martin?" I lol'd to myself and kept walking, also been mistaken for a lexus -
Shitty Series 1 R34 Interior Plastic Paint
Yo-Yo replied to 666DAN's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
yeah I used metho, you need just enough to mostly submerge the parts, with the ash tray I only needed to soak the lid. Make sure where you're doing it is well ventilated, or you wear a mask, the metho does get to you -

^yes, sinply pull off the temp dial and there will be a final nut to unscrew if my memory serves me correctly also, I only used one of those sponges with the green scourer on the back and it worked fine -
Nissan R34 Gtr Vs Nissan 370z
Yo-Yo replied to Turbo Piston's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
They benchmarked the new 370z against the cayman s according to all the motor journos, and the new 3.7L is a good bit of kit. I'm seriously considering a 370, but not right away, if the 350z is anything to go by there will be newer models with more power and better features down the track. The r34 GTR is one of my all time favourite cars, but is a dinosaur now, although true it is a lot better than comparable cars of the same vintage. I still have my reservations on the 370z styling but it's grown on me and I'm sure once I see it in person it will be better, I wasn't entirely sold on the v36 until I hopped in one and took it for a spin -
nice car, maybe some throw over seat covers if you're on that tight of a budget? When I had my r34 I just got some plain black throw-overs with 'skyline' embroidered on the top section you can kind of make them out in this pic
