  1. looks backyard in the close up BUT it does look the goods in the next pic. I personally would have gone with black mesh for the grill and the frontbar air ducts, but as others have said it is your car as long as you're happy with it that's all that matters
  2. I used 3 coats of clear coat on the trim parts I painted. A bit overkill and when the sun was out the gauge cluster would reflect a bit onto the windshield would probably need 2 coats max for the gauge cluster, put as many coats as you like on the rest I posted these somewhere before but here's my effort: I used powerplus paints too
  3. My g/f little bro has that game and it was pretty cool, I think the novelty would wear off on me pretty quickly though, I have a short attention span, even when I tried to play the sims my houses all turned out to be a box with a door hahaha
  4. When I got my headunit done in my R34 they scratched the outside panels on the centre console (the black sections on the edge of the console), even on the gearstick sections. I absolutely went mental and after 15 minutes of me yelling and carrying on eventually the owner agreed to discount the price of the unit and installation was completely compensated
  5. pfft I've got one of those license plate covers with the black lines across it. Driven past plenty of patrol cars and even had a patrol car tail me out of curiosity, and haven't had any problems one of many rules in place that aren't really enforced I guess, there's all these p platers around my street with sh$tbox cars and cannon mufflers and they seem to get away with them even though they can't do modifications
  6. Yep one and the same, when the guys on here refer to an r33 gts-t it's easier to type gts-t rather than gts25-t there's no actual 'special' gts25-t model, maybe the 40th anniversary models but pretty sure they still came off the showroom floor with the gts25t sticker AWD versions have gts-4 stickers from factory, doesn't mean the car is a 4 cylinder or 4 litre Then again you should all get r34's so you only have to type GT-t hahaha
  7. Gonna spend the day polishing and buffing the ol datsun while waiting for the food at the family bbq on xmas day should hit close to 10,000klms by then so an oil and filter change. other than that lining up a late x-mas pressie in the form of a HKS hi power exhaust and high flow cats by feb/march
  8. I'll have paid $2200 for my plates if I kept them for 13.5 years, damn RTA and their annual fees I got NII-54N which was supposed to just be a phonetic spelling of Nissan, but I had a stranger admiring my car, who happened to speak japanese, point out it also spells the japanese word for big brother I hadn't realised lol so it was kind of cool, like getting 2 for the price of 1
  9. I have personalised plates, and yes they are a waste of money. it was either that or light up cigars with $100 bills
  10. Mate I worked at a Nissan dealership for 2 years (sep2006-sep2008) And afaik none of the aussie maximas came out with factory sat nav. It was purely a multi-function display that quite frankly was/is craptacular, same goes for the current murano which is basically the same thing Possibly they might have meant the Patrol Ti model? But I highly doubt any compatibility
  11. Blimey, I may have just found the new set of wheels for my v36 Runs to library to borrow book titled: "so you're gonna perform a home operation to remove then sell your kidneys to pay for a new set of Nismo LMZ5 wheels" Do I see front bar parking sensors... perhaps intelligent cruise control too?
  12. Well I was gonna try and pull the fuse and see what happened lol, but only next time I was at the Creek of course. Superspit well done, nice colour too enjoy mate
  13. I commute a lot in my current job which combined with the insurance premiums of a GTR led me to skip them altogether and I never warmed to the v35 so I went with the 350z. Back with the Skyline family now and couldn't be more happier. And in an Auto to boot, never thought I'd see the day... The car looks great, sounds fantastic and drives very nicely with more than enough grunt for what I need. Not as chuckable as my old r34 or 350z as the turn in isn't as sharp but it still has good handling dynamics which means it's easily controllable when the tail end pulls out. Only criticism is even when you turn off the VDC in the v36 it only reduces the sensitivity of the system you can still get the tail end out, but it doesn't actually turn off, believe me I've tried It's definitely 'grown up' from the R series, and unless you modified your r33 say in the regions of 240+kw you won't be disappointed with the stock power, the VQ has nice torque band that some people say kind of sacrifices top end a little bit, but unless you're on a track it doesn't matter, on the road the power is useable as well as smooth. You'll find this out for yourself tonight Other than that the V35 will have better interior being newer of course, much more stable chassis. They are fun to drive, the only reason I opted for a z instead of the v35 was purely a case of personal preference to styling
  14. Apparently gets air cooled seats as well as heated in the convertible according to the us forum niiice
  15. on second thought it's not 'too' bad but still not my cuppa I guess, top down is the sex though
  16. Not to mention the V series skylines would lose that "unique mystique" that the R series enjoyed before they shipped them in by the containerload Still, it would be nice to have a multi-display screen in english, all in good time I guess. Looks like the 370z inherits the same screen and push button start so maybe there's a conversion possibility down the track? After looking at some more pics the convertible has a horrible window line when roof is up, but can't be helped I guess, the convertible M series BMW's looks horrible compared to the sedans
  17. Very clean, but I would've kept the stop light personally
  18. lol counterfeit eggs How can a company that has invested their time and money into Research and Development compete with a counterfeiter who has no regard for product quality whatsoever? They can't. There will always be grubs in it to make a quick buck, and suckers who buy it because it's cheap
  19. I'm lovin the headrest/speaker combo, give your head a massage and your ears a workout I suspect a heavier kerb weight on top of the v36's already portly body, but who cares when the wind is blowing in your hair?
  20. True, but I've heard of stranger things man seriously. Yes he did overtake you in a one way lane but he was in front when he collided with you. This is going back a year or two one of my sister's friends was found at fault for the same thing but on the highway though, driver cut into the lane, pranged the friend's car, friend was found "technically" at fault because the car was behind when the collision happened. How the F%ck did they come to that conclusion? Hell if I know Hope it works out for you Edit: I'm sure in your situation the VL is without doubt in the wrong of course, just struck me as strange when the cop said they have to find out who was at fault
  21. Uhh I'm very iffy myself on road rule technicalities, while although you might be technically at fault because you were behind him, wouldn't the fact he tried to overtake you in a single lane st over rule that? Or commonsense FTL?
  22. The sad thing is he probably Ran off beacuse he didn't have insurance himself, hope you get it sorted and that F$ckwit will get what's coming to him
  23. Dunno about sedans, but coupe the Nissan and skyline badges are taped. My old R34 had only the Nissan Badge at the back when I bought it, looked ok but always thought something was missing so I bought the nissan badging and looked much better. But I must say, a debadged sedan looks very clean indeed search the forum, most guys on here melt the glue by using a heat gun or hairdryer, and some fishing wire to pry the badge off. Then some cut and polish to remove any evidence of the badging
