Semi Auto Gearbox, Can We Make It Better?
Yo-Yo replied to V35 Matt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I bought a voltage stabiliser kit from a shop near me, I know the owner so he hooked me up with the pricing, really you can buy any 4/8 awg cables and washer terminals if you know what you're doing. all stuff you can get from Jaycar In regards to US kits I'm sure it would just be a case of reversing the install instuctions from right to left, the cables would be the same length and as long as common sense is used you can install them, us spec G's aren't any wider than japan-spec V's, just battery and wheel on opposite sides. yes I installed mine, easy, find a ground to the body, the engine block and your throttle body if able -
Saw pics of the GTR, hated it saw it in the flesh/sat in one and loved it ditto on the 370z, didn't like the styling until I saw one up close I'll probably end up owning one or the other eventually, the 370z is more in my budget though

Semi Auto Gearbox, Can We Make It Better?

def. recommend the grounding wires power delivery was noticeably improved due to better throttle response, didn't feel as laggy when shifting. Again, probably made f'all difference to power, just made the power delivery better via the gearbox This car was my first auto and the earthing kit made it that much more bearable still miss driving manual but meh -
nice to see I'm being looked out for cheers too much of a hassle for having system that only partially functions and in english , which is kind of the same as having everything working but in a mix of english and japanese language only my opinion, like I said it wasn't a major hassle for me to learn what each button did thanks again

I'll reserve my judgement until the season drags on, willing to give the benefit of the doubt BUT the preview for next ep was a ford territory reversing into boxes and a commodore, thrilling
-
on my old Gt-t the the build up was actually on the inside of the headlights, I was the first owner is aus and when I bought it it didn't have that My guess was it had something to do with when the compliancer took out the factory xenons it ruined the seals and let the haze gradually build up over time. Was going to open up my headlights using the DIY on here somewhere then clean the inside but I sold the car anyway

hmmm looks like some of the buttons on the screen/console are a bit different in what each button is programmed to do the clock, cd unit is in english anyway on the v36 and the infiniti unit's buttons are on opposite ends so just looks like a case of tweaking the programming would be a nice little conversion if I could be bothered, shame the aircon vents are in that ivory bone finish I've had some help getting menus translated from a few people who can read japanese the rest of the buttons were just a case press and see what they did I don't even think twice about anymore It's crazy but I like having it in japanese, enough of the display is in english and adds to the uniqueness of the car here hehe

When Some Fkr Does Graffiti On Your Bonnet
Yo-Yo replied to Munkyb0y's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
well done son top effort Bet it earned you more than a few brownie points with the missus Man I'm glad I got around to cleaning out the garage, used to park my car on the street/driveway, never again after seeing that -
meh, if I bought a car for it's "soul" i'd be a pedestrian
-
ugly yes useful hell yes wish my car had one, really miss it when it's raining/foggy or just plain dirty
-
judging by the Dualis and X-overs in general, it would be more like "Gingerly position yourselves into the back seats kids!" still a nice looking car imo, maybe 3.7L is overkill for that type of car and targeted buyer

A mate of mine back in the day took some chicken wire lying around in his shed and painted it black

Poll: V35 / 350gt Club Logo Polling
Yo-Yo replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
If I may suggest a "Vseries Club GT Australia" variant of the one picked or something along those lines, thus eliminating the need for customising us non '350' owners stickers and having just the alternate one otherwise I like 6,7,11 simpler the better i say -
That looks good, I hated the older model I'd still rather a 370z if you're going for that type of car though the Audi does looks nicer imo

I Went To See Fast And Furious Last Night

hehe my old R34 got featured in the reader's ride section, didn't think they'd actually publish my email, now I'm a little embarassed by the amateur photos as I have a lot better ones, just had those on the computer I was using at the time. Still it's kinda cool to be featured either way Saw F&F it wasn't bad, not as "cheesy" as the last 3 but that was the whole charm of the franchise and +1 for WTF why no R35 feature car? Agree how it wasn't much of a car scene movie, apart from every meet being packed with people and girl on girl action, I'd join SAU nsw if there were meets like that -
thanks for the info guys, appreciate it I found pics on myg37.com of cars exactly like mine that have had their stockies powdercoated black, the look is growing on me

Forgive Me Father, For That I Have Sinned
Yo-Yo replied to brother_david's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I like it but... all I could think of looking at the finished photos was it would look complete with a big brake kit, or rotors at least very nice either way -
hey man, very nice job and glad you are happy with it seeing that has changed my opinion on owning a black car if they can get it looking that schmick, the reason I've always gone gunmetal/silver with my cars is not only do I like the look, you can get away with most paint marks and swirls until you get really up close PS are your stockies powdercoated? Where did you get it done as I am looking to get mine done in a similar finish, was gonna hold off doing it as I like the alloy look, but I put some pretty harsh curb rash on my wheels the other day

Burgundy Rav 4 with dual cannons protruding from the back, thats just the start, overall, it's so wrong on so many different levels

Today Tonight- I Sent A Email Regarding The Car Scene....
Yo-Yo replied to Cruizer's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Don't you dare criticise my TT/ACA programs! they are the only real journalists left and are out there tackling the big issues; I mean, Where else can I find out about how foreign people are all out to get australia, finding the right bra size for me and how to save 50c on my next shopping trip all in one episode lol @ the producers' reply, it sounds like he's gotten a few emails from the enthusiast community before, that reply might even be used as a template in his outlook Cruizer, I applaud you on your email but I think you've been going about it the wrong way, ACA/TT are always cat-fighting with each other, so you could play them off one another to your (and the enthusiast communities) advantage. Take the TT producers' response and email ACA, tell them that TT doesn't have the guts or integrity to show Australia the real enthusiast community, that TT is nowhere near the same league as ACA and that they can prove it by doing an article that does show the real car community for what it is As always I am joking, but you'd have to agree that Padding their ego and presenting a chance to show up their arch enemies will get a lot more attention than complaining and attacking their *cough* profession -
When I had my r33 I was gonna get one of those lip spoilers that still kept a brake light, ended up buying an r34 so never bothered
