  1. AND! The A3 would be getting parked in the rain. lol Cheers, D
  2. Marc, You would want to get some paint protection on that really, really fast and as it's #01, lock it away for ever. DR's in Japan, when I was searching through the auctions last night are averaging AU$11500.00 starting bid and I found a PNV coupe with an AU$15000.00 price tag and that's in Japan, no freight, customs, compliance etc etc etc on it to get it here. Makes me more convinced that the good ones we have here have to be held on to. Cheers, D
  3. Hi Guys & Gals, When I was cruising Yahoo auctions via Import Monster last night I stumbled across 2 x very nice original R/S badges on page 7 of my DR30 search. They have a starting figure equivalent to AU$74.00 and if you think like me, they would be a good investment for your ride for when yours are old & crazed and or cracked. Cheers, D
  4. Dave, I like your choice of replacement, I was going to do similar with a JZX90 (is that correct) chaser, but good ones were hard to find so I went with a 1UZ conversion to my MX83 and now I think I have the best Toyota cruiser in the country. January 08, I did Sydney to Melbourne via Hume, Great Ocean Rd ~ Torquay to Port Campbell and back up the coast through Lakes Entrance. Covered 3920k on 176L fuel which calculates to 9.6L/100k and has power / torque to burn. Pity you can't keep both. I did a bit of cruising on Yahoo Auctions last night and your sedan isn't bringing money in Japan either, found some with starting figures of AU$100.00 with no bidders, so it might be a store it for a while deal and wait out the crisis the world seems to be in at the moment. Cheers, D
  5. Your driving a Corvette and want to chip into a Japanese car forum ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? You may be interested to know that a 240K/GTR look a like sold to Dubai connections for $14500.00 a little over a year ago and they paid all the onforwarding costs on top. How does that compare with your Hotrod theory????????????????????????????????????????????????? Cars are worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it and that goes for hotrod's as well and in particular hotrods are aimed at a very restricted niche market. Just maybe you should go and have your say on a forum you know a little about. D
  6. Item number:270230539666
  7. Wear a helmet lol D
  8. Ah yes! mine tooooooooooooooooooooo
  9. Oh! and L20et, L24e & L28e use low imp 188cc. L28et in US Spec 280ZX Turbo have low imp 265cc and I just happen to have a set of them too. Cheers, D
  10. RB30E & ET injectors are low imp 250cc and I'm sure you were told when you got them, the RB25DE are 270cc low imp. Eazy enough to check though, just put a multi meter accross the terminals. I might just have a few FJ20et injectors up for grabs shortly & they are 370cc low imp hose tail fitment. I think Disco wants a set of 4, so that will leave 8 over as spares. Cheers, D
  11. A collectable R31 eh???????????????????????????? Have to be a GTSII or an HR31GTS/R, but no matter what, your gunna regret it as soon as you do. Rent a shed and store one of them. Could be a company investment and a tax write off if ya play it right. Cheers, D
  12. I'm going to do it Tuesday/Wednesday when I'm off. Got to buzy last week, but I found this on ebay USA. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-DATS...sQ5fAccessories Cheers, D
  13. Brendan, What are the mods and why was it defected. How difficult will it be get it roadworthy and if so, how hard is it to get a 28 day permit so it could be driven interstate. Cheers, D
  14. C210 or R30??????? Cheers, D
  15. On the strength of this, I have just ordered the Kameari Adjustable Chain Tensioner & Reinforced Timing Chain from www.rhdjapan.com for the princely sum of AU$388 delivered by Express Air Mail. I have an Vernier Cam Gear from Stewart Wilkins, will purchase a new bottom/crankshaft gear, but will stick with the Taiwanese guides. If anyone is interested, I have a new tensioner and chain that will no longer be required, up for grabs. I also have a Nismo 8 hole cam gear, it's been offered elsewhere, but if it's not taken up, it will be up for grabs too. As my new motor is being built to rev to 7~7500rpm, I thought this was best for durability. Cheers, D
  16. Where you gunna get that from???? .............................. takes a lot of bottle tops to make up a grand.
  17. The best advice I can give you is try getting it listed in Japan. R30's have reached cult status in Japan and finding them in anything like reasonable condition is getting more difficult everyday. But first I would be very certain of the specifications you quote as the Japanese know all, when it comes to their own cars. I'm referring to your bog stock, no mods 115kW @ the wheels on a dyno, as the factory specs say 145ps which converts to 106.65kW at the flywheel and StagefummerII in NZ did heaps of mods to his L20et to get 140 something kW @ wheels. It's eazy to blow smoke up peoples asses here in Oz as most suffer from NFI syndrome & don't have a clue if it's right or wrong. I can't see them being of any significant value for many years to come and maybe 10 or 20, or even 30, when they are so rare in Australia, owning one will be a novelty. A bit like the genuine vintage cars of early 1900's are today. The two (2), I have will never be sold, or not in my life time, so my kids might get some financial benefit from them. The Paul Newman version doubled in value the minute he was confirmed dead, but ONLY in Japan. For some reason the R30 is regarded very highly in Japan, but not in Oz as it is a very niche market & only the diehards really want them. Interestingly enough, lots of old R30 owners in Oz are trying to buy them again as they find driving GTR's, EVO's, Rex's etc so much more boring & without the challenges our R30's have. Sure they go quick, but technology has taken over the driving skills necessary to drive old cars quick. Like most things, our toys stay OUR toys and the $$$$'s, love and devotion that gets put into them reaps zero cash reward when & if they are needed to be sold. Doesn't matter how rare anyone thinks it is, it's really only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it and that often is "current market value" and if that's not to your likeing, it's tough if it HAS to be sold. As I said before, your going to need a lot of luck to pass it off for the money you believe it's worth. Cheers, D
  18. Don't know ........................... let me get them first, but there costing AU$450 + freight out of Japan. Cheers, D
  19. 30mm I'm told. For pics maybe have to wait till I get them and put them on the D-Limo DR30. I just put it up as a guide coz it might be a good thing to copy. Cheers, D
  20. If you were asking $750.00 you might get some interest, but a Paul Newman version coupe sold for about $6500.00 in ACT about a year ago and the new owner can't get that for it now and you want $7500.00 for a stocky HR30 sedan. There are DR30's on offer for between $6 & 8000.00 and they can't get any interest either. Your selling to a very small market and most people already have their ride. I wish you luck, because your going to need every bit you can muster at that price. Cheers, D
  21. Jon, You're showing your maturity by how you speak now eh??????? Try looking up ebay, do a search for R30 Skyline and you will find the following product; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Skyline-R30-...id=p3286.c0.m14 Go check the postage calculator for Sydney 2560 and it estimates $20.00 for a full kit, that's front & rear from Victoria. Then look at Aust Post calculator, which you were too lazy to do the first time around and quote some dimensions like 105 x 37 x 10cm and you will get a postage cost of $20.90 from post code 4305 to 2560 to a max of 10kg. http://www.auspost.com.au/ And you want $60.00??????????????????????????????????? You have a reputation amongst some people on this forum and "wheelnut" doesn't get slightly close. We have crossed paths on ebay and you are most certainly the same here as you are there. I don't need your bar, it was as I told you, for experimental purposes only, but I ordered a custom rear bar from Selby's yesterday and it should be a good match to the standard R31 front. "No worries. I'll end up using it in my other coupe when it happens so no stress" ........... remember this??????? Enjoy your other COUPE you spoke of when it happens??????? If this was anything like the truth, why have you been trying to sell it for over 6 months. You even bumped this thread to generate some interest as there had been none for months. As for Silent Shadow, don't bother with the comfy chair, coz it aint gunna happen this time. He aint worth the effort fighting with. I have posted the links for everyone to see, that he was trying to stiff me for excessive freight/postage costs. Cheers, D
  22. Would anyone be interested in these if I had them available? I just ordered a set for the ex D-Limo DR track car. Cheers, D
  23. Dimensions of this new box please???????
  24. You might find it necessary to replace the chain & tensioner & guides etc as a kit. I saw such a kit on ebay recently for an L28 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-280Z...sQ5fAccessories You might find the top & bottom gears are worn, allowing the soft tensioned chain to jump teeth. Cheers, D
