  1. Settle boys, the gestapo lady from hell will get you if you keep this up! You will be belittling part of her precious R31.
  2. Fatz, Your R31 is by far, not standard suspension. Your going the same track as Karina, we're talking of improving a stocky, no challenge needed or intended, as your car is not quite a match to a stock R31, or maybe a run against John's (UAS) Z32 might tickle your fancy.
  3. You have been told to leave it alone by 2 moderators on this thread, MANY TIMES, yet you keep trying to stir up the sh!t, but keep it up, as I am not going to retaliate, not on here at least. You are just fueling your own fire, keep it coming Karina, everyone knows how you won't leave it alone, so just ignore all the moderators and by the way, that's a word you obviously have neither the regard or knowledge as to it's meaning. Maybe when PRANK reads our PM's you may think differently. Have a nice day!
  4. Tom, How many bags of cement did you have in the boot for your HR30 to weigh 1300kg? My PNV with all the electrics only weighed 1170kg at time of importation and the factory state max dry weight of all models is 1250kg and that's the Ti hatch with the huge rear glass tail gate.
  5. Your right! I'm not a big believer in the R31, or at least the Aussie delivered R31, it's a bit of a brick compared to the earlier models, largely thanks to Malcolm Frazer. As for handling, do some research, don't trust anyone, believe half of what your told and filter the rest. There are some great books on handling and it's not as simple as just lowering and firmer springs and shocks and sway bars, as some would suggest. Remember, they are trying to sell you something and not necessarily the best for your car. Pedders will not disclose their spring rates and as I have found only tell you what you want to hear. I have a set of lowered Pedders N12 Pulsar springs, and upon contacting Pedders, quoted the part number on the tags and asked for the spring rates and I was told they were about 50% more than they actually tested at, so be aware of the pitfalls when buying springs. Spring rates are very important, shock rebound rates the most important and other than Whiteline would have us believe, it's the outside diameter that is the action part of a sway bar. You never see an F1 car with solid sway bars, they're usually 50+ mm in diameter and chrome molly, or titanium tube with the end mounts welded to it. I went to great lengths to get my sway bars made from hollow section spring steel, yet they are over 50% lighter than the stock solid ones.
  6. So! now we can get back to real R31 talk. I made a comment about why should cazz bother to turbo her Ti. Well in case anybody might want some info, I have just crunched some numbers and made some enquiries and for about $1200-1500.00 I could get an R31 RB30E "that's n/a" 185Kw at the flywheel @ 6400 rpm. In days gone by, when I was a boy, it was considered, the absolute performance engine would produce 100HP/litre, so at 2962cc 296.2HP would be the absolute infinite engine package and 185Kw converts to 247.9HP If we want to put this into perspective, a VS Dunnydore Senator was rated @ 185Kw, remember the 185i badges on those Phantom coloured dunnydores and they weighed about 1600Kg, have this in your R31 4 dr Ti @ about 1300Kg and a sleeper, you might just have. But a real sleeper has a lot more than shear power, it handles as well, but this may be a problem for some. Pardon the sarcasm.
  7. Your 22??????? I've got a 19 year old daughter that speaks more intelligently than you, but then again I could be mistaking you for a 22 year old KNOWS everything little sh!t! That be right?????????
  8. Have you bothered to read this thread???????? My opening comment was simply "Why would you bother" and went on to speak of RATED HORSEPOWER Where??????? at any stage to this point did I ever call out Karina, one of your so called precious SAU team. Where????????? have I in any way shape or form coerced her into the mud slinging antics she started with. Why??????????? if she is such a coveted member of the team does she NOT UNDERSTAND the terminology of RATED HORSEPOWER. AND even you quoted me in what I said about rated vs dyno horsepower. You have the hide to give me a warning after what had been said DAYS before. I had been away for 4 days, and had not even seen a computer from Sat 25th December, yet you can chime in and do this. As a matter of interest, HOW MANY OF THE FIRST 3 PM's WERE FROM KARINA? and you claim to be impartial. Isn't that a whole lot of crap, if it wasn't for the fact that your in Japan & she is in Melbourne, I would be certain you were screwing her. She starts the bun fight & I get the warning. Huh!!!!! bullsh!t this is and your full of it. This would be a nice place if not for the fat ****s that think they're moderators, and if your not to careful, the same demise as SDU will come to you. And just for your info, you can put the birthday wish where your mother never kissed you as well, coming from you, it ain't worth sh!t. If you think I'm pissed off your right & I don't give a stuff what you do, as I quit. Go F#CK YOURSELF MR SUPER MODERATOR
  9. Well then Mr Super Moderator, If your not taking sides as you claim, and I'm issued a warning and Karina is not issued with the same, you can stick your SAU forum up your arse. Have a nice day.
  10. REZZ, What's this strike??????? You telling me that your a moderator and this is a warning???????
  11. Congratulations, I feel terribly happy for you. Maybe I should list as quotes the content of PM's I have received about you. Maybe you should get a grip on reality, as my only referrence to power between the two (2) was that I couldn't see the point of simply replacing a stock RB30E with an RB30ET and calling it a sleeper, as the GTS2 is rated @140Kw & the RB30ET is rated @150Kw, and as soon as it's done, the insurance goes out the door, other than Shannon's or similar other. 140Kw of normally aspirated power is every bit as good as 150Kw of turbo charged power, if not better in the same road car. And I stick by my guns, as a moderator "YOU ARE A JOKE" and I have made these referrences to Prank, and I am not the only one supporting my moves. By choosing to act the way you have, you have flushed your CREDIBILITY as a MODERATOR down the toilet. Moderators are SUPPOSED to be neutral and not be tempted into slanging matches as you are so often involved in. YOU SHOULD BE SACKED Have a nice day!
  12. SKY031 a MODERATOR :headspin: :usuck: :bs!: :dump: :spew: :blah: :fart: :jester:  That's a JOKE, they must be hard up for moderators on this site if she gets to be one. The PM's I have describe her as a lot more colourful than that. She should be sacked!
  13. Couple of PM's waiting for you.
  14. I still have the RB25/30 and it's going into the PNV. As for the L28 etc, I have an F54 block set up for R30 installation, P90 heads are easy to find, but if going that way, I would go with the LD28 crank and 3.1L as I suggested once before, but for now I'm holding all that for when I'm old and want to build a C210 or similar as a Targa car. Re the L24E, As Matt knows, my original project car was an Aussie delivered MR30 Ti hatch. It was purchased sight unseen, as I was only looking for a good body, but when it was delivered, to my surprise there was an engineers report for a/mkt turbo in the glove compartment written by Graham Senior in NSW. With this information, I was going to build it as such, but as you all know, I now own the PNV and the Ti is going to be sold off. To comply with the existing engineers report, the fitted L24E motor has to stay, hence my question. All the L20ET inlet & exhaust + plumbing is going to be swapped onto the MR30 L24E, without intercooling. As you advise, the T03 I bought from Option 1 Garages is as you say, .63 AR rear housing, still somewhat larger than the original fitted to the L20ET. The thumbnail shows a red knob, I have been told it's some kind of boost control in the original L20ET manifolding. So! I ask, which one do I use? The original or the FJ20 and what sort of gain over stock should I expect, and if using the FJ turbo, what benefit over the smaller is to be had? Will it just spool up faster or will it provide more boost etc, etc. It has been suggested that it should give performance similar to a stock rex, but this I am not expecting, maybe in a straight line, as the 2.4 should have more torque at the same boost. With a BOV after rego, I should be able to find someone that would pay me reasonable dollars for it. It would be a fairly cheap sort of reasonable performance car, despite it's age. What suggestions do you have?
  15. What's to big, or to small, or just right? Considering the Garrett GT35/40 rated at about 650HP that's fitted to the new BA XR6 Turbo Falcon has an internal wastegate of 32mm. Is an external wastegate of similar size on a similar turbo, adequate or not?
  16. If I was to take a stock L24E engine with 8.5:1 compression and transfer all my L20ET turbo bits onto it including ECU, what sort of power gains are there likely to be over the stock L24E's rated 93.4Kw. Also, am I likely to gain anything by putting on a larger T03, such as replacing the L20ET T03 which has a rear housing of .46 or there abouts, with an FJ20 turbo unit with a rear housing of .87 and using the L24E ECU with a Microtech piggy back unit for the turbo?
  17. Matt, Yours stands out like the proverbial dogs and your biggest problem with being a sleeper is, you only have 2 doors.
  18. I wonder how many of the smart ass comments are coming from people that have actually done the business. It is a funny thing, that I have received about half dozen PM's from people that have dealt with Nengun, the goods ordered have failed to arrive, yet NO refund of monies is being provided. Funny thing that eh!!!! but everybody is sticking it to me. Also, if all of you loquacious imbeciles bothered to read my posts, you would see I have accepted responsibility for my actions, and I know what I have done, etc, etc, I'm not crying over anything, but trying to inform others of some of the pitfalls that they may encounter, but nobody sees this, they just grab any oportunity to stick the boot in. I thought people on this forum were intelligent, but by the replies on this thread, I'm very much mistaken. Maybe we should rename this as Infant Skylines Australia, as that would be more befitting the brain power.
  19. Coming from a self righteous illiterate demagogue, we will all take note of such criticisms eh!
  20. Thanks for the referrence b005t, By you referring to that thread just proves the insignificance of your mind. Everyone but you understood the implied body of that thread, maybe you should take a long hard look in the mirror before you start ripping it up someone, other than just follow like a sheep would his master. As for an "old whinging bastard" that's not correct as my parents were married before I was born. Your obvious lack of comprehension of our english language is just another vivid example of your state of mind. You have a lot of living to do, and when you do get stung by import taxes and you get upset, just remember these threads and how you just want to stick it up everyone. In this and the other thread you referred to, you haven't made ONE (1) constructive comment that has or could have come out of your mind. You have just got on the band wagon with others, or in the other thread, tried to stir shit as it has been put. Have a nice day!
  21. Just for a start, I never mentioned what "WE" or what forums refer to, and "ALL" horsepower figures quoted by any car/vehicle manufacturer is flywheel and "IS" industry norm, for "RATED HORSEPOWER" to be at the flywheel. I would have thought any dumass would have known that. As for the sleeper, if you bothered to hunt around the wreckers, oh! correction Auto Parts Recyclers, GTS2 complete set ups can be obtained for under $500.00. And I still can't see the point of even doing a turbo (RB30ET) conversion for a lousy 30Kw. What's 30 going to do that 10 won't other than light up tyres easier and then it's no longer a sleeper as everyone will know. It will be a marked car. A sleeper is a bog stock looking gadget that goes quick and how better to have it looking exactly that, under the hood as well, the masses will be daft as to how it goes so well when absolutely everything is looking stock. How many turbo conversions have you seen "WITHOUT" an intercooler, because with one it's not a sleeper.
  22. Of course, when has Nissan rated them otherwise?
