I took him out last night to look at the pug 306 xt that Nick is selling too. JO3 - I read your add before I posted this thread. My Dad is 75yo and is not really after something with exhaust, cams etc. Basicly im after something that is small (easy to park), something easy to get in and out of (hes getting on in years), something that will run on the smell of an oily rag.

Yep, im selling my Skyline. Maybe someone out there on the forum will do what I did and trade a laser to help purchase a skyline.

Did anyone see the 1987 soarer listed on prestiges website today? That would have been a nice run-around car. I pointed it out to a workmate and he rang Geoff to buy it but it was already sold. It was estimated to fetch over $11k landed but went for $19xxx.

Its not for me, its for my Dad. Hes getting on in years and needs a small car pref auto with power steering. He currently drives an old tarago (I picked up my bonnet from UAS in) without power steering which is now too much for him as he has a bad back. I'll ask if manual is a possibility.

I met up at Newy at the start of the cruise. There was one incident - a P plater travelling with us got pulled over by highway patrol on the way down to Sydney. Someone should have photos. The orange car had its passenger hanging out the window taking pic at least. I thought the white supra was nice, the red RX7, and the dark green chaser whos owner i was chatting to - 285rwhp with only front mount exhaust and a bleed valve.

I hope its something small, easy to fix, quick to fix an inexpensive Brad. I've never had my car off the road except for when I added mods to the car. It took 1 week to get that turbo high flowed and it was horrible not having a car. Nick's team at Unique should be able to help out. Just an interesting thing that I heard last week, a friend at work was having problems with his 180. The workshop I take my car to found that there was a holden part a northern beaches workshop had used instead of the nissan part. The parts looked similar and it was only because the mechanic has worked on these type of cars for years that he knew the difference. The part was replaced and the owner has been as happy as larry ever since. Unique work with Skylines all the time so your in good hands. Keep us in the loop.

Are they "green stuff"? Its too dark to go outside and check if there are numbers on my pads.

I've got a R33 series 2, and my AFM has a pink label with "22680 31U00 A36-608" written on a silver background up top with "E60" printed next to it in silver. "5Z12A" is writen (looks like its been stamped) below the above codes. hope that helps

Knowing absolutely nothing at all about cars, could it be his castor rod bushes that have worn out? My mechanic replaced mine because they were wearing out and asked me if i had noticed a thunk noise when stopping.

I've only been pulled over once by the police for a breath test in Manly along with a few other cars. The didnt care at all that I was driving a skyline and never hassled me. A week after I got the car I took my mum for a ride around Manly and we spotted a cop ahead travelling in the opposite direction. He spotted my car, turned up a side street and did a u turn in the mouth of the street in readyness to chase me as I went past. He looked at me as we went past and I could see his expression change as soon as he saw my mum in that car. He didn't bother me at all. Maybe its because the police may know that I drive like a granny, but I haven't had police even look at me since I got the carbon bonnet. Have you had any problems with it yet Tony?
