I actually saw this accident in person. Not occur but the outcome of it. Car is munted, and I wouldn't be surprised if the sump has a dent in it. If you see where he hit, he was about 2 car widths even further off the road. From what I can piece together he's come down the hill tithe roundabout, turned left, opened the throttle, stepped it WAYYY to far an it's shot him off the road, he munted another fence BADLY which has helped aim him straight up that concrete. I shit you not, less then 50 meters behind that car is a roundabout that slows most of "the street racers" down to at least 50KMH.

Insurers have been known to recover payouts they've made after finding things written on websites, such as the above. I've heard of one insurer having had paid out an accident that had occured on a racetrack, they were told it happened on the road. Owner bragged of "beating the system" he was quickly taken to court, and all money recovered.

Or build to production car specs and go race?Oh wait, then we could just go join the production car guys... There are plenty or series' around to go run in, get a few mates together who have skylines and go run in superTT at MRA, then you race against others, but you can make it your own little personal battle with just the skylines.

Buy a new tow car. -
Legalaid specifies you are within your right to NOT give a statement, and there are very limited circumstances you must answer police questions. (one such time is at the scene of a motor vehicle accident) It also specifies before answering any questions or making a statement you should seek legal aid. Secondly if a police officer threatens you to make a statement, said statement is null and void. A statement must be made voluntarily.

As in e was a witness and doesn't want to make a statement? Well within his rights to not make a formal statement. If he won't give information up he can be done for hindering a police investigation. But if he's told them info they wrote it in their lil notebook, all sweet.

I won't be there. I'll be welding the front of the car together.

The last VW van I drove could barely pull it's own weight up the snowy mountains. Wouldn't buy one. There are probably more powerful versions available, but not my cuppa.

It's detecting the bonnet isn't shut. Open your bonnet, locate the switch on the radiator support, sticky tape it down.

If these are "every day" cars and not just hacks, Id send it to a panel beater. Very rarely does a panel bend without bending another. The metal is soft, and stretches easily. Getting it back into proper position requires some special tools and a bit of know how. I just straightened the front of an R33 I bought. It's road worthy but not 100% perfect in terms of looks if you know where you're looking as it still has ripples from stretched metal.

The worst problem is that the moment you put your pride and joy on the trailer, there is some asshole that tail gates you the whole way! Also, you need to reset your mirrors to watch the trailer a little bit more (watch the wheels on white lines) You will soon have a new appreciation for trickiest on Sydney roads. PS, avoid Canterbury road... One wheel on each white line the whole way... LOL
-
Any trailer That is over 750KG has to be braked by law. They use an override brake. That is, the trailer actually slides along a shaft that is connected to your tow ball. As the shaft pushes through it moves a lever to pull a cable which yanks the brakes on. Makes for lots of bangs through the car if you aren't smooth on the brake or stop a little quickly.

I dunno, some of the girls around here can't drive unless the front wheels of their "no homo" car helps pull them...

Not rated means not insured. And if the row vehicle is too light it can be disastrous in the event of needing to stop quickly, or goin around curves and down hill.

I'm not sure what Santa fe you have, but you may want to check you can actually load the at up that much. I bought an R33 home on the back of my XR6T the other weekend, and I wouldn't recommend it. Also, I used uhaul, $146 fully insured no excess. Tie down points were shit, but towed great. Ramps were a little short for my liking.

The 6 Speed is meant to be the best. And yep, I have the 6 Speed.I just wouldn't do it. Get a 4WD, and buy a cheap daily if fuel economy is your concern and you need this tow vehicle to get you around day to day.

Agree with Kylie.Either Beaches at Thirroul, or head around to Ryans for actually good food. Beaches has a nice position though if you want to sit outside. Been a while since I've been to Ryans. Edit: Trying to get to Towradgi Beach Hotel will be a night mare with a bunch of people. Not to mention Sunday gets quite busy there.
