  1. Where did you last see your key?
  2. If this were facebook I'd click the like button on that idea...
  3. Hey Brad, can I borrow the truck and move it for him?
  4. Duncan, when are you bringing all the cars home, and do you need a hand getting them in the garage/photos taken?
  5. This car needs to go driving again Adrian... Take me for a spin?
  6. So now that you have a garage, has this car moved at all?
  7. All RB motors are shit. Truestory.jpg
  8. Removal of rego makes this rule seem quite usable if you're not the owner... 50B Vehicles being driven by persons unaware of registration status For the purposes of section 18 (2) (b) of the Act, the use of an unregistered registrable vehicle on a road or on a road related area is permitted if the person using the vehicle:(a) was not the responsible person for the vehicle at the relevant time, and (b) can establish that he or she did not know, and could not reasonably have known, that the vehicle was unregistered at the relevant time.
  9. Have you drifted before? If not I'd be getting a cheap R32 thats already running with a RB25 in it, (Or just get an R33 GTSt since theyre just as cheap but newer) add a FMIC, Oil Cooler and steel wheeled turbo, weld the diff up and go and learn to drift in it. You are very likely to keep bending things, and the cost to build a car from shell/rolling chassis most of the time is more expensive then buying individual parts. It's why a lot of guys are parting out their R33s as they are getting more money for them in parts. Plus if you decide you want to put in a new part, you've got the old one to either sell, or keep as a spare (What I recommend) for if/when it breaks.
  10. +1 to this idea.
  11. You may have pissed off someone while you were driving? Received any abuse of late?
  12. 2.5L screaming at max RPM of 7000RPM = 8750 Litres per minute of air ingested (At a perfect efficiency, but in actual fact it will be closer to 80% of that number) 4L (Falcon) tipping over at 6000RPM is 12,000 litres per minute of air ingested. Take into account they're both NA, exhaust gas temp should be relatively the same, meaning that the exiting gas volume should be quite comparable. I'd run the 2.5" on the 4L, and a 2.25" on the 2.5L as it doesn't need the high end gas flow, as it just doesn't have the need for it.
  13. It bugs me, but why does a banana bending lover live in WA and not QLD?

  14. You guys seem to run HUGE exhaust pipes for a 2.5L N/A motor. Think about it, the commodore guys running 3.6 and 3.8L motors run a 2.5" I'd drop back to a 2.25" if I were you, it'll probably help remove drone also!
  15. There are advantages to running the boost source from the plenum, and there are also disadvantages. It is not purely "clear cut" as to who should, and who shouldn't, until you learn to look at all of the items making up the specific system.
  16. Send them both to my place? I don't think you'll find any mobile mechanics that are highly knowledgeable in skylines.

If they're booking you for owner certifiable, they don't know their shit.If that does upset them that you've informed them it's owner certifiable and they do go to town on you for things that you actually have modified illegally, then that's your problem for actually having illegal mods.

Onthe RTA web site.VSI06 is a great document to read first. It gives you the basics, which include the cutting of the hole in the inner guard.

Intercooler + a hole cut in the inner guard is perfectly legal WITHOUT an engineers certificate. You lot need to learn your standards of what is owner certifiable and be able to politely inform the police of such items and you will avoid defects.
  20. Makes me feel old all these younguns... And just to think, I'm still considered "young" by a lot of the club... LOL
  21. Who's launching their R33?
  22. When I was noise tested (by a real exhaust shop) he was telling me that dependent on the type of location they can remove a certain amount of DBA off the reading, light industrial gets 2DBA they can remove, a motorway would mean they have to remove more!Frigging idiots! I can understand them patrolling and RBTing everything, because we all know after you watch some "car action" te spectators nearly always want to be clowns, so they deserve to be done for speeding and drink driving etc, but they really need to train these coppers up some more on what things are! I'm glad my car looks stock as (only thing different is rims, and they're a factory size and mimic the factory shape, and no I didn't buy them, they were on the car when I got it.)
  23. No it won't stop it making good power, the air flow through the front has nothing to do with how the car makes power. What it will effect is heat soak. It will restrict air to the radiator and FMIC, depending on your type of driving will depend on if you notice anything. Personally, even on mild built track car, I wouldn't worry about cutting it out.
  24. Nik, I don't think josh is worried if disappointing you when you disappoint your mum every time she looks at you...
