  1. I've got a custom highflow from Per4manz, supposed to be good for 400rwhp and handle 24psi. It's almost as responsive as a stock turbo! 3rd gear with 1/4 throttle I'm seeing positive pressure by 2500rpm and 10psi by 3000rpm. In 5th gear at 1800rpm, start to feed it some gas and it's in positive pressure pretty much instantly! Only started it on the weekend, rich as hell, putting some km's on it (car has been off the road for 18months so making sure everything works!) and will get it tuned soon then report back
  2. Not sure, this one didn't even have a front mount..
  3. Ouch!
  4. OK OK I actually use the shitty cam on purpose to hide the imperfections
  5. Spotted this white Stag too.
  6. The vidcam had no charge so I was using the shitty camera on my phone
  7. Short clip from the first drive
  8. This is OLD flamage.. When I get the old girl running a bit better (turbo is MUCH bigger than it was so very wary bringing it on boost until I can log the wideband in nistune) I'll get some new flame footage.. I certainly do love a rich decel
  9. lol yeah.. seeing at night isn't its' best attribute.. here's some more night stuff! It has an exhaust now but probably needs a centre muffler.. I swear it's louder than with just the dump/front pipe! Had a hiccup with the ECU which was causing it to be ridiculously rich, fouled the plugs pretty quickly. Got my mate around to fix it while we were doing the exhaust, loaded up the laptop to make a couple of changes then she fired straight up and immediately sounded MUCH healthier. Still got intermittent lifter noise, I'm hoping it disappears. Got a slow water leak somewhere, will get it up on the hoist on Tuesday to check everything out. Just drove from Padbury to Balcatta, to Ashfield, to Hazelmere and back to Ashfield and each leg it felt better and better. To the point where on the last couple of legs I let it hit a bit of boost (2.8psi lol) and it was such a tease driving home in the rain! It felt so good to finally drive the old girl again! BIG thanks to chuckie and a select few others for their help through this trying time
  10. ITS ALIIIIIIIIIIVE!
  11. Moving to normal WA section.
  12. Got heaps of various o-rings so that's ok, pm sent
  13. And long fingers If I haven't managed to sort it by the time you knock off, wanna drop in on your way home and lend a hand?
  14. Nah I got a gtst and gtr top hose and neither fit due to the header tank thing, hacked up a spare bottom hose and it fit pretty nicely, will take pics of completed engine bay tomorrow Flexible Drives are doing the cable.
  15. Sweet I got my old Densos from Powerflow Injection but they were hella $$ and the supplied plugs were chopped off some loom they must have had laying around.
  16. PM sent Getting a new cable made up tomorrow, radiator top hose is sorted (butchered a spare bottom hose ), gotta get a bung for where the old thermoswitch went in the radiator (dunno where mine went ). Need to make a bracket to hold the throttle cable and fix my oil pressure sender wiring.. need someone with small hands! I've already lost two nuts into the depths of the cross member
  17. Yeah that's why I will trailer it to Padbury to get the exhaust finished The problem is, I can't get it on the trailer with the catback attached and I don't want to wait till Sunday night before I start tuning her. It's all moot anyway unless I can get a throttle cable soon!
  18. lol nah, hoping to start it Friday and do some basic tuning in the industrial area with only a dump/front pipe Then it's going on the trailer Sunday morning to take it to another mates house to get the exhaust welded up And yeah, ASR sump is the goods, I got mine through Justjap.
  19. That will work but it's starting to get a bit convoluted, that's why I will be running a boost gauge on turbo outlet and one on manifold. Depends how you have hooked the ebc up. I have it so the reference signal for the actuator is from the turbo elbow but the control unit gets its' signal from the plenum so it runs what I want it to run at the engine.
  20. Not really.. I've had a MAP sensor die, luckily the Haltech just utilises a Delco 3-bar sensor but it was still a f**karound and was about $150 to replace. The other disadvantage to a MAP sensor is you don't notice cooler piping leaks, I had one for a long time that's only symptom was a slight shriek on boost, was still seeing 15psi at the manifold and the engine was running fine but the turbo was screaming its' head off.. god knows what it was actually making
  21. Well I do have one but it lives at my mates place so we have 2 BBQ's for epic cookups
  22. Told you I have no BBQ! Startup will only be on Friday if my mechanic mate can make it round, I want him there for first start so if anything goes wrong I can yell at him right away
  23. OK! Everything is hooked up except radiator top hose and throttle cable. Powered her up to check the electrics and everything except the pillar gauges (acting funny, will get the multimeter out tomorrow) and the stoplight switch was sticky. The HID's work mint, the highbeam mod works mint, thermo fans work mint although there is a slight reverberation between the two fans when they are both on but meh. No fires, no melted wires or bad smells, fuel pump primes.. tomorrow I'll plug the laptop in and check all the sensors, if that's good I'll change the maps for new afm and injectors and hopefully I get a throttle cable so I can start it on Friday!
  24. 10-15mm clearance
