  1. o0ooo ice burn!
  2. Cheers guys. My head has had the welsh plug removed and thread tapped in, there is currently 1" BSP plug/bung/blank/whatever in there. Been talking to my mechanic and we're just going to put the old 90deg fitting that he was using back in. Any dramas with T'ing into the turbo oil return?
  3. Mine ran fine on the stock RB20 ecu for the first few months. I did have to use a remap chip to get rid of R&R though.
  4. Back in the day I used to go down to Big Track (before it was a truck yard ) when it rained and slide the karts there, lots of fun.
  5. ROFL man I nearly wet myself when I read that!
  6. The one in Albany had a tree fall on his car.. talk about bad luck!
  7. You mean, Chargers are Valiants.. not all Valiants are Chargers afterall ooo Mike with teh sneaky edit FTW!
  8. Even if the slot was worn the ECU's are still getting the speed signal after the cable goes into the speedo.. I'd be looking more at the speedo itself and 70kph difference is a lot!
  9. Do you know how to get into Safe Mode? if it's not hardware related then Safe Mode *should* allow you to do what you need to do. If it still resets after a minute while in Safe Mode then it's pointing more towards hardware. I've got enough computer dramas of my own at the moment otherwise I'd take a look. But now, it's time to put my replacement video card back in.. it's been away for warranty for 4 weeks > <
  10. I run a 4puck cushioned brass button clutch (exedy I think), lots of 1st & 2nd clutch drops and rolling kicks, I don't abuse 3rd so can't comment much there seems to handle all the abuse I deal it (ask Tristan, he's seen it painting lines )
  11. +1 for later 32's being different. When I got my 260kph dash I had to make sure it was series 1. It is odd however that the PFC reads the correct speed.. 32's get the electronic signal from the dash so logic would dictate that if that isn't reading correctly then the ECU shouldn't be either.. If the PFC is getting the correct speed then I think HICAS should be too. Did you have your steering wheel off at all?
  12. ^^ agreed. And I'm sure a GOOD CONDITION stock pump would be fine but these things are 18+ years old and the pumps are getting pretty tired. Put a Bosch 040 or 044 (preferably) in the tank and rewire it, you'll be laughing.
  13. Factory ECU will NOT boost cut at any particular boost level. It is an AFM over-voltage cut and for me on my RB30 (w/ 25 turbo) on standard RB20 ECU that was 12psi with anymore than 3500rpm or 10% throttle. Fuel Pressure Reg. is BS. Put a decent fuel pump in there and it will be fine.
  14. "collapsed" or "clogged" not just merely dirty. Lots of heat or richness tends to kill them pretty quickly.
  15. Probably hitting R&R.
  16. Just build your own 30.
  17. Bosch 044 pump, mine cost ~$200 and the same again to have a pro fit it and rewire. Fix the cat pretty soon mate, with a blockage like that your turbine housing will be getting pretty damn hot (I had a blocked cat ages ago and it was making my exhaust housing glow white hot pretty quickly) and ceramic turbines don't like excessive heat
  18. I envy you people that can still use your strut braces lulz
  19. Let me know how much they are We're talking about the rubber bung inserts in the two little brackets at the top of the radiator yes?
  20. Unfortunately I can't test that theory till after work. But please, back on topic
  21. Yes they all bolt up. I'm running an RB30DET, had an RB20 box behind it, now an RB25 box. Also had the same clutch behind my RB20 as I now have behind my 30 (and clutch originally came off a 25).
  22. It was this bit I didn't get... "Whats the problem you oil fitting you to good for your home???" wut??
  23. Smartass
  24. It's LyEll thank you very mcuh Bird.
  25. No boost restrictors in 33 gtst's that I know of. They do run a dual-stage solenoid though. Have a look in the DIY section there should be an easy mod to make it run 7psi all the time instead of 5psi then 7psi. After you've done that get a Turbotech manual boost controller and wind it up to 12psi. She'll be right mate.
