  1. Common panel filter indeed. Here is the list of Nissan's that use the same panel filter as an M35 (easy to find Australian landed models in bold) *deep breath* 350z - Z33 Almera Tino - V10 Avenir - W11 Bluebird - U14 Cedric - Y31 Cefiro - A31 Cima - F50 Crew - K30 Elgrand - E50/E51 Laurel - C33 Leopard - Y31/Y32 Maxima - J30/J31 Murano - Z50 Navara - D22 Prairie - N21 Presage - U30/U31 Primera - P10/P12 Pulsar - N14 Rnessa - N30 Serena - C25 Silvia - S15 Skyline - R34/V35 Stagea - C34/M35 Sunny - G10/B12/B13 Wingroad - Y11 Xtrail - T30
  2. You will need Parts Master, Nick. It may have come with your copy of FAST. Just enter the part number and it will show up all the Nissan model/engine that use that part. Here is an example of how the information is displayed (V35 throttle body)
  3. You and me both. My M35 is the first car I have "played" with... Had a VH crappydore and an R31 but had no interest in modding so they were both stock as a rock and rather boring.
  4. Haven't seen an example of the motor being disconnected. The HID's have to be disconnected during compliance because they are not "self leveling". All HID equipped cars sold in Australia have self leveling lights... Not that you would know though.
  5. Funny you mention this. I have looked into it a couple of times and ended up talking to the GroundingGear guys who are in the process of designing a grounding kit specifically for the VQ25DET (needed a few pics of the engine bay). The grounding kit they are designing will incorporate the ECU and trans grounding points as well as the engine, chassis etc. Should be ready early August. LOL. I did the reverse yesterday. Put 3 additional plastic spacers in the intake funnel to open it's mouth (now a bit more open than when new), closed up the airbox and ran some flexible tube from the lower grill into the bottom of the airbox (there is a round section where the little drain hole is that it perfect for 50mm flexible hose). Still need to put some kind of scoop in the end of the hose though. No real noticeable difference. Does look better though
  6. I don't think that mine would have the same top end as yours, but the turbo boosts the same as the stock unit ie 0.8bar @ 3200rpm... peak boost was 1bar at ~3800rpm. Still behaving as OE up to 3200rpm, and still increases the same up to 3800-3900rpm, but seems to have a little bit more at 4500rpm now... maybe it is the weather (?) Will see what difference an dual intake airbox and larger/shorter intake pipe to turbo makes. Still trying to find out the internals that were used in mine. If I ever solve that mystery, I will let you know.
  7. Not necessarily... ATP do a good job. I had a feeling you would end up going with him. Glad you spoke to Ray about getting it out. They will treat your M35 right. Did you happen to speak to them about the Nismo exhaust?
  8. No worries mate. Where is yours going to be high flowed? Eastern Turbochargers? Were you recommended not to go to AXT? Hope the quote was alot better than that first one!
  9. I use 300v... but if price is an issue, I would recommend Nulon 10w40. ~$50 for 5L. Full Synthetic. The improvement in my wife's Magna is beyond words. I used their engine clean, then poured in the oil followed by their Lifter Free and Tune-up. No more tapping. Car is more responsive and much, much quieter. Almost a pleasure to drive... almost (still a FWD Magna).
  10. lol... dyslexia? Damn man. 61k and the turbo went? That is harsh... Sounds like an addiction forming to me
  11. VR38DETT... and where, may I ask, will you be putting the GTR's transmission? I still think that it is a TEPS modified VQ35DE. Not a 25 with 35 bits.
  12. I'm not ready. I'M NOT READY!!!
  13. hmm this will be interesting to see the differences. Danwatt and Jet with their highflow. I have an AXT Turbo highflow (and maybe Jason has soon as well). Now Danny with a CGC highflow.
  14. No. They do a GT-RS though which fits.
  15. You doubted it? You know what to do about that...
  16. Ooooohhhh yeah... in either white of dusty black
  17. Yep, me too Then when they see it pull itself shut, they always say "ooh, niiiiice". - yes I know, Stephen, could be taken as dirty, but I refuse to change it! Yeah, had mine for 2+ years but I have only thought that twice... Once when my wife drove it shopping and once when we moved and my Dad was following the truck I was driving... other than that, I think it to myself almost every time I leave or approach it.
  18. I don't like rice and I did buy a Vol... Hey! Wait a minute!!! CF can look great, namely as an exhaust surround on a Ferrari F1, but I think putting fake CF on the parts mentioned (roof rails, B and C pillar panels, the trim on the hatch above the number plate,wind/rain deflectors) would look a bit... well... cheap. Especially considering how much time and effort is being put into the conversion, not to mention that colour of paint! btw carbon fiber as sexy as this? or this?? For shaaaaammmmme
  19. That's a f*ck'n good price man! New, they will set you back anywhere from $750 to $1,200 (!!) You will also need at least a Universal Harness to hook it up to an M35 (as Scotty's had)
  20. Fake CF? Waaaayy too ricey IMHO... I think that the charcoal would look ace with the colour you are painting it. Having said that I am in my 30's... so maybe I am a little "old" for the whole CF thing.
  21. I say go for it if it is a decent price. Don't know if the VQ35 one is larger or smaller, but it is definitely different to our NM35 units. Oddly, the E51 elgrande (which has less power than the VQ35 V35) uses the same as what we have, could mean it is smaller although 76mm ain't that small. Anyway, Parts Master pics for reference of which model uses which Throttle Body (with part number). VQ25DET powered M35 VQ35DE powered V35
  22. Yeah, my wife tells me that the push forwards is the warmer of the two settings too! I don't personally use the heated seats - boiling the boys is not something I am too keen on. *cough*bullsh!t*cough*
  23. Speak to TJ (RBPOWA-TJ) about where he took his. He has an S2, but they may be able to help. Also Knox Automatics install MV's kits.
  24. I cannot check on mine as they are in storage, but can the centre "Nissan" cap be popped off?
