  1. What colour is it if is isn't red??? What was used in it and whom did the service? I'd drop a little out of it (unhook one of the trans cooler hoses) and make sure it is on or just below the "FULL" line when hot. I know if you have too much or too little in there it can do what you are describing. Nup, Matic S is the synthetic replacement for Matic J (which is a semi-synth) and will be fine for our transmissions. It's Matic D (or Dextron III) you can't put in there
  2. lol... if you have to argue that your car IS a Supercar, then it definitely is NOT a supercar
  3. They look good. That is all.
  4. Umm, have they heard of welding?
  5. Going by my almost useless "memory", your AFM is on the verge of a bend though, yes? Could this be the issue?
  6. You could always get Jesse to get a price off Nissan Japan/Nismo? Part number is 24845-RNM50-W and I think they used to be around 23,000yen Here's a handy little Nismo parts page http://hirano-tire.com/brand/nismo/paji272.htm OR even better, just for to http://hirano-tire.com, click on "Search by logo"... and kiss your afternoon goodbye
  7. I'd agree that 245 is way too narrow for a 9.5" rim. I am somewhat biased though as I do not like the stretched look at all. Try this rim/tyre calculator. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
  8. Only if you floor it a lot. I've been running the suction pipe with stock ecu/injectors/pump for... erm... a while. Unless I put my foot to the floor, it runs very nicely. 1/2 to 2/3 throttle is fine on my car
  9. Interesting. Has Craig found this to be an issue?
  10. He was because he wanted better response and the eManage can't get around the ecu f**king with the throttle. Hence the thought to remove the FBW throttle body, leave the ECU in limp and control it all with the eManage. To much of a f**k around, hence the change to the Fcon V-Pro. At least, that's my understanding (or lack thereof)
  11. "This new"? You don't need a new dash to alter the odo reading either. There was a simple plug and edit thingo on Yahoo not long ago that allowed the user to select what kms they wanted the odo to display. Was repeatedly for sale for around $40 + shipping/commission if I recall correctly. Dunno if they had to take the dash out, but I'd imagine so. At least with the old odo's, you could tell when they had been wound back as the numbers wouldn't line up properly.
  12. Good stuff Craig. Must say, the install instructions seem somewhat daunting!
  13. Why would you need a cable throttle? A "safe" 250 can be done on 98 with highflow, intake, intercooler, exhaust, injectors, pump and a eManage Ultimate
  14. Whenever you're ready mate
  15. You can pick up a M35 (VQ25det) Stagea for around 15k... or import a decent one EDIT: Quick search mate http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/369487-m35-stagea-advice/
  16. 350z radiators have the cap on the wrong side. It will foul with your intake funnel into the airbox. I am led to believe that the pins at the bottom of the tank that slip into the support holes are located a little too far forward or back (can't remember) on the 350z radiators.
  17. Well, they do fit in place.... sorta I brought it in initially, but could not get it to fit without cutting a ton of the support away. I sold it and got my unit made up. Still had to trim the radiator support to fit mine, but at least the fan shroud fits straight on and it is a very, very nice unit Fan shroud does not fit back on the Mishi unit. yes.... quite a bit
  18. As above, Iain and Craig have chinese radiators in. I have a custom Race radiators item and Scott has a Mishimoto radiator. If you are going an eBay special like Craig and Iain, make sure you get a G35/V35 radiator and not one for a Z33 (350z). They are not the same.
  19. +1 for this site!
  20. Nice write up Jethro
  21. Interesting, when was this? Pretty cheap iS (just chuck or sell the harness) http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r80660785&thumb=http://f6.auctions.c.yimg.jp/img333.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/4/2/5/2/maxpower1115-thumb-1312633984538597.jpg&title= Cheap V-Pro... IF it actually is a 3.3 (serial should be 30000 or higher) http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m86845788&thumb=http://f3.auctions.c.yimg.jp/img319.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/4/2/5/2/maxpower1115-thumb-1312634529559006.jpg&title= EDIT: just noticed that is the same V-Pro that Jethro linked to. Good buy if the seller will confirm the serial. As a note, you need any V-Pro with the serial higher than 200001 (v3.2 or higher)
  22. You'd be better off with a 245/45/18 tyres for both appearance and ride comfort. I had 235/40/18 on my Nismo's and it all looked too small in those massive wheel arches we have. My mate's M35 had 245/45 on his Works 18's which looked much more in proportion. Side note, we both have Nismo S-tune suspension.
