  1. Local Nissan support lol.
  2. Please excuse our idiocity your highness. Nice of you to take the time to post such a helpful post. Now if you don't mind, I have to get back to searching for a belt drive that is noisier than a chain drive.
  3. Yeah, have a chat to "Iron Chef" (Kristian) about personal imports. Depending on which state of Australia you are moving to will depend on what/if anything has to be removed from your car. Oh, and you may want to think about upgrading your radiator for our summers (unless you're moving to Tasmania )
  4. Yep, what Aaron said. Just answering the question from my own experience. I got caught up in the "must service every 5,000kms" for the first 2 years of ownership and used synthetic oils. Cost me a fortune as I was doing 800kms every week, so I decided to see how the car was with 7500km service intervals. Was all good, so went to 10,000km intervals and again, ran beautifully. lol, it is probably not necessary to change every 5,000kms... just as it is probably not necessary to use Group V oil (Motul 300v, Redline, NEO). I like to use the best fluids/oils and service less frequently, Aaron likes to use damn good oil and change every 5,000, Craig does his every 10-12,000, other like to have Nissan service their cars. It's your car, so do whatever you are most comfortable with.
  5. If I only did 10,000kms per year I'd change the oil every 6 months, but I wouldn't be changing it because I passed 5,000kms, I'd be changing it based on time.
  6. Can you explain to me why you are thinking of my penis?
  7. I'm with Iain, why not do the rear as well?
  8. what do you mean "on hold"?
  9. lol, "stuff to install" sitting in your shed. I hate looking at the stuff I have
  10. Impul will just require another tune. See, this is what happens when you "shed chat" at Scott's. You end up focusing in stuff you done need (speed cut removal etc) lol
  11. What's wrong with it now?
  12. No, but they are definitely accurate when referring to M35 Stagea's and their service intervals. Look, I've been running an M35 for over 4 years and have been servicing at pretty much the intervals Iain mentioned in the first reply. 220,000kms+ on my odo at the moment and the car runs nicely except for an exhaust leak (nothing to do with servicing and everything to do with a lack of spring washers when the turbo was done). Hey, if you have the time to do 5,000km services with cheap oil/fluids, good for you. I prefer to use high quality oils filters and fluids and do it myself every 10,000kms. That way I know my car is getting looked after properly (I have seen what and how dealers "look after" an M35 Stagea when they service it )
  13. In response to your Ferrari question, I would say yes... but then again I think logically (most of the time). Law makers would say no (but they implement changes only considering how much money they can make). I was pulled over for taking off too fast a couple of years ago... I just asked what I did wrong officer? You accelerated much too quickly Did I spin my wheels? No Did I speed? This is a 70 zone isn't it? No, you weren't speeding and yes this is a 70 zone. Did I endanger any other road users? Anything could have happened at your rate of acceleration And what happened? You were pulled over before anything could happen Excuse me, but I was already at my intended speed before you pulled me over. Is there anything more I can do for you? Queue lecture on the dangers of "speeding" etc etc
  14. lol, Only reason I can think of that your dealerships are saying 7500km services is because a) they use a mineral oil/cheap fluids and filters b) probably more to the point, more frequent services for their customers means more income. If wondering about service intervals, see Iain and Craig's responses. Also, our VQ25det Stagea's use the same OEM coolant, thermostat and same sized radiator as the VQ35de Skyline/350z's, so how would one run hotter than the other?
  15. Faster than they can comfortably take the same corner in their land boat Fords/Holdens. ie, no faster than 15kph
  16. As the others have said, you shouldn't need to change a chain. I have over 220,000kms on my M35 Stagea and never had the chain changed. "100,000km change-over" is for timing belts on the RB powered C34 Stagea's. As an aside, an engine with a timing chain will be noisier than one with a belt.
  17. Unfortunately Nick, Iain is correct Why the hell the yanks refer to it as a "reprogramming kit" is beyond me when it is basically installing stiffer springs. Transgo_RE5RO5A_HD-2_reprogramming_instructions.pdf
  18. Don't Transgo do a re-write for the RE5RO5A ecus? http://www.transgo.com/rpg_nissan.php Haven't looked into it yet though (or if I have, I have forgotten)
  19. Yeah, I figured as much but would like to know how high these are equal to (assuming 10-20mm?). Need to know to see if I can fit an LPG tank in there (tight enough as it is!)
  20. How much does it protrude into the spare wheel well guys?
  21. They can always cross reference it with their FAST software... or better yet, speak to the parts person and get them to cross reference it while the mech is standing there. It is what I had to do
