  1. lol... wtf? I thought they were all car enthusiasts? What a strange thing to say.
  2. Agreed. I have been with Shannon's since day 1... which literally was day 1 for M35 Stagea's! Jethro - The dude you got will be going by Redbook which only states ARX models last time I checked. Strange as I have never had any issues with any of the Shannon's people I have spoken to. Also odd is that there isn't a limit on mods... just some of them will bump up your premium considerably (turbo, boost controller, engine management are biggies). Maybe you got a new guy on a bad day? Dunno. Try them again.
  3. From their website REAR WING 税込 \57,750 (本体価格\55,000) REAR WING Racing 税込 \78,750 (本体価格\75,000
  4. You guys need to look on Yahoo Auctions at the moment. There is a Dolphin grill on there for $12 (+shipping/commission etc)... but it will go for more than that and there are always factory Aero rear spoilers on there
  5. Just about everything can be purchased from Nissan if you are not willing to seek out a better deal No, custom grill which can easily be found on Yahoo Auctions. Definitely will not fit an Axis.
  6. you sure about that bud? Looks like you have 140 at 105kph... he has 160 at the same speed, yes? Or am I reading it wrong??
  7. Nismo = speedo... nothing else is Nismo unless that muffler is the latter Nismo item, but it looks a bit big to me. EDIT: Nismo muffler pic for reference
  8. Sounds uncomfortable
  9. That's the car my Nismo exhaust came off Love the gold, GLWS.
  10. How bad? I damaged mine early this year... made be sick to my stomach, but it was repaired and not replaced. Probably a writeoff if it had to be replaced Doesn't look like much in this pic, but the rear quarter was split right through leaving a hole roughly 20x5mm. Yeah, heard that a while ago, but no further info.
  11. There are still a couple I'd like to try out (the new Royal Purple HPS sounds interesting and my curiosity regarding the NEO oil can only lead to one result ), but since I have over 220,000kms on my car I will be sticking with what I have found to "feel" the best - Motul 300v Chrono (10w40) with either HKS, Power Enterprise or Greddy magnetic oil filter with 10,000km changes. As a side note, I am only going back to Motul because GW Sougi S6000 is discontinued.
  12. Yes, like exhaust manifolds for T4 turbo's for eexample
  13. Agree... except I'm sure that a better wheel design would be an improvement over the 1980's tech. Agree 11tybillion on the oil lines! I always have this feeling that Stao is referring to the RB powered Stagea's whenever he says "Stagea".
  14. Nah, that's like saying that all turbo sixes should give the same performance. Different base stocks, different manufacturing processes, different QC and different additives... It really is a near bottomless pit of researching and wading through conflicting info, paid opinions, marketing and what-not *sigh* Makes me tired just thinking about it But if you want somewhere to start.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_oil
  15. Turn the key to the accessory position for 2-3 seconds before cranking it over instead of just quickly turning the key.
  16. Ryan, where have you seen a $200 group IV oil? Redline and Motul are both Group V oils if they are what you are referencing. As I said, it is more what you are comfortable with, but regardless of 5000, 7500 or 10000km changes, a good quality oil should used. I'm not saying only use 300v or Redline or Sougi or whatever, but poor performing oils are just that. By all means, try some different oils with the same filter... you should be able to "feel" the difference. Oh, I knew nothing about oils (or in general lol) prior to owning my M35... but damn do I do a lot of reading!
  17. but where's the fun in that?
  18. Oops, missed it in the header Good price, will be interested to see the design.
  19. Not "any" oil will be up to the task although I do understand what you are saying. I have tried a lot of different oils over the past 4+ (5+?) years in my M35 and can tell you that they are not all up to the task. I used to change every 5,000kms regardless of oil because I listened to too many other turbo owners who did so because "that's what you do". Did the maths and worked out that a high end quality oil and filter combo for 10,000kms is as cost efficient as using a good semi and provides better protection/cleaning for the duration between changes (plus I don't have to get under the car as often). I guess it is completely up to the individual owner in the end, but I can't understand for the life of me why people skimp on the quality of oil they put in their car. Not saying that $200 oil changes are 100% necessary, but a very high quality oil over a longer period will always be better than an average oil changed more frequently.
  20. Yes, but when you label a heap of mods that price goes up.
  21. * Yes, I use it for eeeeeverything. * Yes it makes an awesome family car (no kids but a wife and 90kg of canine means I need a wagon). * Fuel economy will not be fantastic. I drive a lot of hwy and generally average 10-11L/100 or so. Around town is pretty bad, but they have a bit fuel tank for a reason! * Insurance I pay 1200pa full comp as a daily with all my mods listed through Shannons (34yo) * Servicing shouldn't be more expensive than any other Nissan... but do yourself a favour and do your own servicing.
  22. Have never gotten a solid answer regarding NEO.. from the website or from the supplier for base stocks or additives. I've heard conflicting reports so am steering clear. Royal Purple, XPR while expensive is very good but it is there new HPS product that I am more interested in (need more research there too!)
  23. No worries, I've pm'd you my mobile if you have any other questions re installation
