  1. am I missing something here? but I agree - excellent price for a fairly good looking vehicle.
  2. I think I may have found the finished product..
  3. you actually know someone who wants to own a car called "Cedric"????? I mean, its a nice looking bit of kit and all, but calling it Cedric? WTF were they thinking? I suppose its slightly better than Gloria, but still.....
  4. ...just... can you imagine trying to control that wheelbase?
  5. that thing has some pretty impressive front brakes!
  6. Mine has this, and it turns the headlights off after the interior light turns off, which is 30 sec after the turbo timer shuts everything down. This may be a feautre of my alarm though, because the interior light goes off, the headlights turn off and the alarm auto arms all at the same time. If I self arm the alarm before the turbo timer shuts off, it stll turns the lights off at about 30 sec, but only if they are on auto. If they are on manual they just stay on. Oh, and I say do it! The best thing about JDM cars is all the stuff they have that domestic cars dont. F'r instance did you know that apparently the new holden astra hatch has a brand new innovation for 2007? Thats right - a self closing hatch! 10 years later......
  7. Dome cafe is a really nice coffee franchise here in WA. I kinda assumed they were australia wide due to their popularity. now theres a freudian slip if ever I heard one.....
  8. *cough*bullsh1t*cough Don't buy a hybrid car - they are just a ploy to make people think the big car companies care about the environment whilst they are actually stuffing it up more! F'r instance - how environmentally friendly are all those stuffed lead acid batteries gonna be in 10 years time? And did you know that there are actually a brace of diesel engined powered cars in Europe that get a lot better milage and put out less emmisions than a hybrid? Its a conspiracy I tells ya! Oh, and Stagea use a LOT of fuel but what do you expect for a big heavy 4WD with all the fruit?
  9. picsorban! and welcome
  10. Don't be such a cheap whore Clown Man! - Take 'em to Dome cafe and order an iced mocha with everything
  11. no wai! seriously? Was that factory?
  12. I have noticed the fuel gauge in mine can do weird things - like the first half of a full tank can take 300kms to get through, and then the last half of a tank will only last for 100-150km's so it may just be it was parked on an angle before you drove it and it was giving a falsely high reading. The best thing to do is go back and take it for a second drive to see if it does the same thing.
  13. yes, yes we do, especially if we are nasty money grubbing contractors *does a happy dance* most of my mates don't believe me when I tell them how much per hour we are getting, but to give you an idea, blokes with 10+ years experience have been getting offered $72 per hour lately. I came into it from a trade background (best move I ever made was getting off the tools) but if you can find someone who offers traineeships then you will be set for life. retiring at 50 FTW!!!
  14. /\ *shudders*
  15. Nah - you can check it your self quite easily. Have a look inside the little compartment door on the drivers side just inside the rear door and you will see the attessa resivoir with a level on the side of the "bottle" As with an auto tranny, it is best checked with the car up to temp and standing on a level piece of ground. If its really low you will need to get the system bled just to be on the safe side. This is probably best left to a mechanic as its a bit of an involved proceedure. Just make sure that whoever does it is aware of the fact that there is 2 bleed points - one at the pump above the rear diff and one at the transfer case at the back. The system is almost identical to the GTR so have a read of the technical section of the forum and you will find out all you need to know. Good luck with it
  16. skyline front cut isn't an option due to needing all the panels and radiator support. I need a wagon due to the 2 dogs etc so I don't have the option of moving down to a 2 door stagea the only reason I am going to the neo is because the S2 front cut is pretty much the same price as a S1 front cut once its landed (?) and it seems a bit silly to have a Neo and triptronic sitting there doing nothing, especially since the engine and box is going to come out for the welding part anyway. When I drop it back in it is just a case of slotting in the new 'puter and then I will have the spare RB25DET to start building up a RB30DET which is really what the old lard a$$ wagon needs. mmmmm.....torque.....*drools*
  17. when the button is on, the attessa pump should be on fully, so I expect any shuddering is going to be coming from the clutch packs in the transfer case being under full load. I would get the attessa fluid checked and probably changed as I think this would be a sign of either air in the system or chatter marks on the friction plates. "Chatter" is going to happen to any clutch type system that operates under variable load (as opposed to an on/off situation such as a manual gearbox clutch) so its not something to have a heart attack over, but it is something that should be monitored IMO. I have only felt shuddering in mine when turning full lock at the same time as accelerating on loose surfaces so wheelspin might be the culprit too.
  18. Nah, I am gonna continue this "off topic" thing for a bit... The problem with words like that is it is derrogatory and demeaning in the extreme. Now consider that this is a forum dedicated to Japanese cars and Japanese car enthusiasts, maybe there is a strong possibility that there are actually some Japanese people on here who might take offense? I am not even faintly asian (4th generation Aussie actually) and I get my back up at any racist remarks like that so pull your f**king head in! Jippa - any chance you could post a pic of this remote starter thingy so the rest of us n00bs can see what you are on about please? Never actually seen this in any car before and it has peaked my interest. I have a alarm and TT that are tied in together and I am gonna be interested to see if this can be made to work with all the other fruit.
  19. wow - nice one! couple of questions thogh, Is it only available in an auto? I thought the main advantage of the Autech was that it was a manual? Also, what difference is there mechanically between this and a usual 25T X four? As for photos, you are best using a static IP hoster such as photobucket and direct linking from there, or just upload to your gallery and link the way you have done. And welcome!
  20. Picsorban!!!!! Oh, and spot the nOOb from the east! sif not know what the north mole is!
  21. dude - check the WA section for the consolidated workshop thread and just ring around and talk to them before making a desicion http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=141454 you are taking a risk asking for peoples opinion on here though, people have actually been banned from this site for giving their opinions. If you are looking for negative feedback / experiences you will be much better off asking people to PM you.
