  1. maybe we should start our own club? nOObies of the world unite!
  2. Can I get a pic of the rear wing, its damage and a price for it on it's own? Thanks
  3. roof mounted screen FTW!!!! and I even have headphones now so I can listen to my own music at the same time *happy dance*
  4. I also notice you have the colour coded bump strips S2 style. Noice!
  5. Yaeh saw that last night, pass on our sincere condolences Kylie. RIP ARRRH 33
  6. ^^ and how do you suggest getting the motor to sit still while you crank it? There is a lot on energy involved in getting a motor past the compression stroke, not to mention the inertia a flywheel carries, and don't think you will be able to just hold it by the rocker cover. Seriously, don't do this unless you have something to bolt the engine to. Its dangerous and someone is likely to get hurt.
  7. Try Eagle One's Black Trim Wax - I use it on the bump strips on my front and rear bars and it brings them up like new! And sure beats stuffing around trying to paint them. But yeah, knock it back with some fine wet and dry first if its flaking. **EDIT - sorry, its not an Eagle One product, the one I used is called Car Plan. I couldn't find a proper link but this one shows you the bottle at least http://www.ciao.co.uk/Carplan_Black_Trim_Wax__5344039
  8. "scootypuff jr"??? wtf? Sounds like a illicit drug smoking implement. And don't let the lack of a stagea stop you from cruising, you won't be the only one! (Yes Heath, I am talking about YOU - you are coming aren't you?)
  9. spotted a bright yellow stagea on Denny ave in Kelmscott last night. I may be wrong, but I think someone has actually bought the yellow S2 AWS has had sitting in their yard for almost 2 years. Yes, THAT one - stock S2 RS4 (in very nice condition, I will admit) that stated off with an asking price of $29 990!!
  10. hey Morgan, what rims are you running at the moment?
  11. *points accusingly* your fussy!!! hows that ?
  12. abso-fuggin-lutley outstanding idea Luke! It would also make a great place to place stagea specific for sale ads. Also, we could direct interested parties to it instead of standing around carparks / servo's etc answering the same questions over and over and over. I for one would be happy to jump on board and support such a site. I think it would be quite easy to garner a little bit of sponsorship from some of the stagea importers and workshops about the country too. I was a member here for almost 3 months before I bought my stagea and it was mainly because it took me that long to read the threads and sort out the infomation I needed, as opposed to the fluff that was fun to find out but really distracting. I know Ska and the other mods have done their best with the use of sticky threads etc, but it doesn't really work as a cohesive read. The Jaycar boost and fuel control thread is a good example. Just one suggestion, due to the really helpful input on this site from some of our eastern states members (ie Kiwis) unless you will be supported by SAU can I suggest dropping the Australia part of the name?
  13. I owned my Stagea for about 4 months before I even realised I had any now I use them all day every day just because I know it p!sses people off
  14. Discovered an old classic buried in the bottom drawer Lisa Lashes - Hard House Euphoria compilation *runs off to dig out glow sticks and striped t shirt*
  15. Unfortunately, not all of us have that option though. I asked kermit about an exhaust and got a quote roughly the same as a bolt on system, and that didn't include the cost of the resonator and canon that I would have to supply myself. I personally lean towards the NUR spec myself. Just make sure you end it in a big ski ramp jap style!
  16. Did you clean the engine bay? Sounds like you might have got the coilpacks wet? It might pay to pop the cover off and make sure you don't have any water pooled in there. I had the same problem after dropping a new head on a falcon 6 but it turned out to be an issue with the distributor so no help there
  17. If you can't get it onto a proper stand and start it, a basic leakdown test is about all you can do. You do have the opportunity to pop the sump and rocker covers off for a good look, but if you don't know exactly what you are looking at there probably isn't much point. Get someone who knows engines to have a look, or just suck it and see. Just be aware that you won't be the first person who has bought a second hand engine without hearing it run and discover after it is a lemon.
  18. I'll make sure we have a seat for you and the young bloke if you need it, Kylie
  19. *SNORT* You have trouble fitting into a Stagea and your wife drives a fuggin' Daewoo? No wonder its only got 16K on the clock. *trys to imagine Tangles getting his clown shoes into the front seat of a daewoo* Oh the hillarity ! ! ! ! ! !
  20. Pft, second mortgage would easily cover it
  21. 'sif the yanks know anything about powerskids and burnouts! Don't you guys still chock the front wheels in a burnout comp? I have always thought that was the main reason drifting took off so fast in seppo land. Click the link and you will find out why powercruise has been the fastest growing motorsport enthusiast event in this country. http://www.powercruise.net/
  22. this should be interesting...
  23. schwiiiing! top effort mah man!
  24. Just a suggestion, this time we really need to get our sh!t together and do a decent group photo. I am pretty sure we have the best attendance in Australia for Stagea cruises and we need to have proof! If we are going to do the dam run there will be plenty of opportunities. So, if you are in WA and own a stagea, make sure you come along, even if you don't post here that often!
