  1. I dunno, I heard him live way before he went on that crap show, and he is actually a bloody good musician. His brothers band did a christmas function I attended last year and it wasn't too bad at all. Its just a shame that they have to promote him as being from Australian Idol. If Mercedes had just said that their stand would be featuring a very talented local artist then they would come across as supporting the local music industry and people other than the 12-15 yo demographic would be going along to have a look and a listen.
  2. manually cranked Klaxon FTW!
  3. love the wheels, hate the plastic flares (whixh will prolly end up colour coded in the S2 M35 anyway) and I still think the dash was designed by a blind trainee. As a package though? HAWT!
  4. hahahahahahah! 10% of the population - almost 23% of the stageas WA FTW!!!!!!11!!!!!
  5. Hey, us Dirk Digglers of the new millenium have to earn a living too! *edit* I vote for the 20th too. Anything that involves the hills and / or coast would be great
  6. heeeey - i want free prizes and cheap viagra! [email protected]
  7. Yes it is - the road out there is an absolute ripper too, and its just around the corner from Lady McNess drive - one of the special stages for Targa West! (They had a yellow series 2 as a course car)
  8. **rushes out to buy one**
  9. There is one of these in WA - Its hanging off a wall at the York motor museum (well, it was 2 years ago) It was bought by Rosco Mcglashan - the guy who attempted the landspeed record a while back with his jet cars "aussie invader 1 & 2" It has been mothballed because you can't buy the special fuel they need anymore, and no one allows them on their tracks any more because they are too fast for go kart tracks (and dont take corners real well) and they aren't allowed on drag strips because they fit underneath the armco at the end of the tracks. Still way cool tho.....
  10. Really soapy water on all your joins after the turbo? It should help you see any leaks fairly easily - use dishwashing liquid and make sure you rinse it off well.
  11. But wouldn't cutting the fuel in an overboost just cause massive lean running and thus the expected holed pistons/collapsed ring lands etc? I find it a little hard to believe Nissan would have something like that intentionally built in, would it be a lot more likely that its a spark cut, like the rev limiter?
  12. That was the first time I had ever been to anything like that, being fairly new to the import scene, and all the idiots besides, I had an absolute ball. Perth should really be able to hold its head high with the range and quality of the cars that were there that night.
  13. ^^PICSORBAN!!!!
  14. I thought the std rim size was 16"? at least for the 4WD models. Make sure you get pics if he does lift this thing up, it would be fantastic to see. Not to mention how much fun it would be to scare the crap out of Holden Cross8 and Adventura owners
  15. Mega Bump!!!! Don't try and do this mod if you don't have the lower lip on your front skirt The extra depth and width of the R35 GTT intercooler means it doesn't fit behind the chinless bar. *sob* does any one want to buy a shmick R34 GTT intercooler? PM me.
  16. D'ya know why, when a man see's a woman dressed in leather, his heart rate increases, he gets endorphins going and may even break out in a sweat?? because she smells like a sports car
  17. thats my favourite trick, flick the switch as soon as you plant it away from the lights. cracks my kids up every time.
  18. Or the shouting?
  19. Not really a good reason to sell up dude - especially if you are in Perth There is a bucket load of parts around, you just have to know where to look. I can give you 3 places off the top of my head that currently have half cuts. I have only had mine since december and I have had to track down a few bits and pieces for mine and for other peoples, everything from simple stuff like cargo barriers right up to major stuff like driveshafts and entire auto gearboxes and the most it has taken me to find them was 1.5 days (that was the gearbox, the driveshaft was less than an hour) It has all been found locally and at realistic prices too. Don't underestimate the value of this site too. If you can't find it here ask any of the WA members and it will be attainable.
  20. ^that was NOT called for No offense dude, I didn't mean to infer that you were. Its just this has happened on here (and not that long ago too) and I wasn't sure if anyone had realised that people have been burnt like that. I know I sure wasn't until a little bird whispered in my ear.
  21. ^^ good ol' clown shoes is baaaaack!
  22. How long is a piece of string? It all depends on the km's / condition / demand on that day. I can give you one tip though. DO NOT post any pics or details about any car on here that you are going to bid on until you have won it. The importers and agents all keep any eye on these forums and if you post up anything about a car you have found and really like, when it goes to auction the price will shoot up because there will be a few extra people bidding on it purely because they know there is a buyer for it.
  23. and a station wagon is hardly a sports car..... to quote the sales brochure. "a functional but comfortable TOURING WAGON"
  24. Yeah, some one should get the great hairy mod onto it...... Oh, wait....
