  1. I have no idea what it is, and I think I like it that way....
  2. go and look in repco or somewhere like that and ask about cargo nets. You get them in some new SUV's and they are all elastic like the ones they use on trailers. You just attach it to the chrome hooks in the floor over the load and away you go.
  3. I tried.... Seriously, the actuator SHOULD be sealed with a o-ring around the outside of the body, just drop the 2 bolts you can see out, pull the actuator back, replace the o-ring, slap on a light smear of rubber grease (this bit is crutial if you don't want to f**k the o-ring getting it back in) and bolt it back up, making sure you keep equal torque on the bolt heads. If it is the hose that is leaking, you will have to take the whole hose off (its a compression fitting) which means the end you can see in the pic, and the other end which is up inside the right rear quater panel on the bottom of the resivior (I think, don't quote me on that) and take it to a hose specialist who will make a new end for it. It is only a quick 5 min job for someone with all the right gear. DO NOT try and use thread sealant or anything like that, it won't work, will make a mess and you run the risk of blowing the whole hose off. If you want to get a second opinion, send a PM to Brad (overpowered) because I know he has had all this off his car and he knows a shitload more about it than I do.
  4. Well, to me it looks like the attessa actuator, which is part of the transfer case, not the gearbox. I am not 100% positive, but I think there may be an o-ring that seals the piston body to the housing. You can buy o-ring kits to make your own (I dunno how you would go buying a drop in replacement) or it could be the fluid supply to the actuator. Either way, you need to know that the attessa system is probably the most expensive part of a stagea to fix so you really don't want to muck around here. If I was you, I would make sure they check the fluid level before it leaves Japan and again as soon as it hits the docks here because the fastest way to fu(k up an attessa system is to drive the car without fluid. It will destroy the clutch packs in the transfer case before you can say "whats that funny burning smell" Other than that, bloody nice buy for the price, and as someone who really doesn't like body kits as a rule, that front bar is HAWT!!
  5. Cause they're not weird or wacky, just fuggin horrid Except that one...
  6. goddamn thongslapper trevs taking over the forums LOL! Just kidding! Welcome
  7. All sorted everyone. Thanks for all the PM's. If anyone does want to be involved, check out targawest.com.au or let me know and I will point you in the right direction
  8. I am volunteering for TargaWest again this year for the Chicane teams and one of my team members has been forced to drop out. Is anyone here interested in the best seat in the house? I am doing 1 chicane on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, and everything is organised,(gear, transport to and from the stages etc) you just need to have the time free, and the ability to wear a free officials hat and t-shirt. If anyone is keen please drop me a PM.
  9. I like how its an MR2 from the back, but a 'line from all other angles Oh, and IBTL

  11. you drag an AU Wgn?? Dude, I know this is a skyline forum, but you have to drop a few details!!
  12. +1 always go to a specialist if you possibly can. You will always be better off going to a specialist than a mechanic. If there is a price difference it will be negilible and at least you know if there is a problem afterwards they will be able to take care of it themselves, not try and pass the buck on to a parts supplier etc
  13. ??WTF??? damn pulsar owners......
  14. ^^yes, yes I do CV joints FTL! Thios is why I have never (and probably never will) own a FWD car
  15. +1 I never considered the stagea to be a sports car and neither do most of the peopl e on here That is not why we own them. But when you consider the sort of wagon the same money will buy you domestically? ....\fail.
  16. Maybe domestic sales of the M35 have fallen flat? maybe even the japs thought they were just too ugly LOL!
  17. a) paint it (the woodgrain, that is) b) find a normal RS4 that has been optioned with the leather seats c) source a S1 leather interior They are out there, its just with the factory option of leather not that much cheaper than the prime ed, it wouldn't make much sense to go down that path. The prime editions are easy to pick out because they had woodgrain on the wheel there are heaps of leather S1's out there with leather seats and no woodgrain. Just gotta find em
  18. If you bought that for me, I would consider being your missus....
  19. I think he means fuel efficiency has gone up, as opposed to fuel consumption going down
  20. I can't see the video, due to stupid IT dept restrictions, but is it anything like this? Because that isn't an R34 - its actually a cut down stagea with the masa R34 front end conversion as you can see in the rear view
  21. the black dotted strip is there to hide the glue that holds the screen on. The button you are referring to is for de-icing the wiper blades, which isn't really an issue here in Orstraylia so I wouldn't worry about it. It operates the same way the rear window demister does, (the heating element IS under the black strip tho) so getting it working on a new screen shouldn't be that big an issue, but I wouldn't bother myself...` I am pretty sure you can buy the heating elements at Repco / supercheap etc and then it would just be a case of connecting it back to the switch.
  22. I think that the Porsche lights are a mistake myself...... Other than that....*schwing!* Rotary drivers do it with less torque and more noise..
