  3. Good stuff, who is doing the engine work? I installed my Jim Berry clutch this morning, which one did you get?
  4. Cheap, yes they are. just wanted to get peoples opinions of them, especially the RS ones.
  5. That would be great. Can you tell me how much you paid for the set and where you got them? PM me if you like.
  6. So what will be the total price you have paid after tyres, rego, stamp duty ect...? Or better still final price minus the J-spec advertised price. Just so we can better understanding of what people will be up for.
  7. Hi all, Im trying to pick a tyre from the Federal range. I have two options: Federal SS-595 255/40 R17 96W * Low profile sidewalls for ultimate performance * Excellent comfort characteristics * Uni-directional tread patter * Flange protector for alloy rims * Affordable price * ZR and VR speed rated Federal 595 RS 235/40 ZR17 90W TW New, semi-slick, sport competition 595RS - designed for exceptional traction and grip. Cutting-edge technological advances in design, construction, pattern and compounds. Best performance in its class - a street legal competition tire with the characteristics of a slick. * Evenly dispersed block stiffness, same level of stiffness in the center and the shoulder for stronger grip and traction, prevents irregular wear * Uni-directional V-shaped main groove enhances streamline form and also improves aquaplaning ability at high speeds. Wide-angled grooves increase block stiffness, further enhancing tire's grip and traction * Engraved pattern name along the groove creates an exquisite product image * Sub-grooves on the shoulder disperse block stiffness, improving ride comfort, grip and traction * Complete block stiffness provides excellent lateral stability in cornering Now the SS-595 is a high performance street tyre with a width of 255. While the 595RS is a semi slick but with a width of only 235. Would the extra width of the SS be better than getting the RS? They will be going on a set of 17x8.5 wheels for the track.
  8. Ive seen that orange lambo door "GTST" in the flesh. Had all the bells and whistles on it. He was standing on the limiter most of the night, showing off his Bee-R rev limiter. That thing was bloody loud, the noise just echoed through the car park. Something tells me the car used to be white lol
  9. Jetstar is cheap but only lands in Nagano and Osaka. If you want the full Japanese experience stay in Ryokans(Japanese Inns) They are are great places to stay, and are cheap.
  10. With 400-450rwkw you wont get grip with any tyre lol
  11. You should aim for about 11.8-12.5 If im reading correctly yours is 14?? A bit on the lean side.
  12. Alot of people ask me why i did not go down the 3L bottom end path with all the money i have spent on my built 25 motor. And the simple reason is because of preference. Anyone can make torque and power with a 3L. Just strap a big turbo on it and away you go. I wanted to build the most efficient 25 i could.
  13. I have 19x8.5-35 on the front and 19x10.5-42 on the back.
  14. Pauls mate Dave (blitzxtr) does them,im getting some through him atm. Give him a PM. Or call Bodyform.
  15. Would be a boost leak mate.
  16. I knew i should have bought a GT35R
  17. Good stuff Steve. 2 years is a hell of a long time to wait. Ive waited 6 months so far with my car, thats bad enough! We need specs,i know they are here somewhere but please jog our memories.
  18. WOW that is one lunched turbo!!!! Driving it wouldnt have been the best of ideas. As suggested already, i would get a health check on your motor.
  19. To my knowledge Greddy,CP,ARP,Garret,Cometic,Tomei and Nissan parts are not made in China. Send me a PM if you interested in buying parts for your engine.
  20. Will be up by then end of the week, the missus has my camera
  21. Thats sounds like an awesome night Adam. Im a huge fan of Diakuko and the Wangan. Thought i have not driven on it. I have been a passenger in a wicked Cresta but it was kept around the legal speed limits. C1 loop FTW! Richard,Adam get pics up. I feel one of these will become my new desktop background
  22. If the cartridge has been replaced with a Garrett item(most likely) then you will need a different size banjo.
  23. Yeh, the guys at GCG told me the efficiency range for the .82 housing starts at 18 and will go to about 25psi. So i think 20-22 will be a comfortable number.
  24. 29psi with a GT30R?
  25. 14psi for the run in tune, and 20-22psi for the full tune. 22psi is alot of boost to run on pump fuel. See how the motor likes it on the day, though i would like to see how much i can squeeze out of the turbo before we settle on a good reliable tune/boost setting.
