  1. I just took a measurement of the fitting i have on the external oil drain on the head. It sticks out 6cm. Will this hit my firewall?
  2. Awesome thanks Dave.
  3. Al you are a bloody champion! Those are the exact pics that i need.
  4. Does anyone with a highmount and a greddy plenum want to come to my house so i can check out your oil/water lines and plumbing?
  5. What Turbonetics turbo is that?
  6. How does everybody else run them? Does anyone have any pics?
  7. OK all, went to GCG and got the fittings, gaskets and oil drain for the turbo. Also took measurements for all of the lines(good old string). Took them all down to Pirtek to get all the lines and extra fittings needed. The guy there was very helpful and even custom made a few of the fittings to meet some of my clearance requirements. One thing which worries me though is the fact that the water return from the turbo to the block will have to be fed down through the exhaust manifold, Mr Pirtek man assures me the braided line will be up to the job. Ill be using hi-temp silicone hose for the both the turbo and external head oil drains. I also bought some bright silver engine enamel for the CAS, as against the new covers the stock finish will not cut it.
  8. OK we are in the process of taking measurements for the oil and water lines. But we cannot figure out how to run the water feed and return with a Greddy plenum installed. Here is a pic of the inlet side of the block, can someone tell me what this bolt is? There is another one on the exhaust side under the welsh at the back of the block. Both of them are just screwed into the block.
  9. Im trying to work out how where the feed to the turbo comes from, aswell as where the water line from the turbo goes to. Can someone post pics of there highmount setup with a greddy manifold?
  10. Can someone post up some pics of the water feed into a highmount turbo setup? Or explain how to run it from the Greddy plenum to the turbo?
  11. I would but i cant find my bloody camera!! Will try and find it tomorrow and upload some pics.
  12. JPS Trading on Ebay sells them as a kit.
  13. Yes its on the stand in my garage The blue is really going to look good against the white engine bay. I have installed the ARP manifold bolts and trial fitted the manifold and turbo. Now im off to bed, i have alot of running around to do tomorow
  14. Its black hi temp silicone in a pressure pack can.
  15. They look ok but not my cup of tea.
  16. Well if you go highmount you will need a new manifold(a good one is 1k+) a wastegate($500) new lines and a new dump pipe. You will need a new dump pipe anyway internal or external. Going external will cost you more but will be a benefit if you plan to go bigger in the future. Ill get some prices on an internal housing for you.
  17. Same as yours mate But im already thinking about going to a GT3082. See how we go with this one first.
  18. If i give it a light coat of high temp silicone will that help to prevent the flaking?
  19. I guess im lucky my tuner used to work for Haltech.
  20. My heat wrap arrived this morning. Its called ThermoTech, has anyone heard of this brand? It says it can withstand constant temps of 2000F. I went with the black as the white gets dirty to easy. 1inch wide by 15m long. Should do my manifold and dump pipe hopefully. I hear stainless expands more than mild steel when heated. Would it be a good idea not to wrap it as tight as you would normally? I was planning on trailing the wrap through water as i wrap the manifold so the wrap keeps its shape a bit better.
  21. It will be the boost controller setting for sure.
  22. That is horn! Love the Chasers. But id prefer the 2J Aristo.
  23. A early 97 model Aristo or a V35 with an RB26 in it
