  1. First car was a restored 1972 VW 1600 Superbug. Was a good first car but everytime it rained i drove down to the local industrial area and did 10,000rpm burnouts (no rev limiter) which eventually killed the poor thing. Second car was a 92 Ford Falcon GLI (LPG). This was the first car i modded, simple sports exhaust and 12 slotters all round. As i was an apprentice it was hell cheap to run. At the time LPG was 25c a litre!!!! Third car was a 94 Ford Falcon (EF shape) This time the modification bug had truly bitten: Lumpy cam,cam gear,Crow valve springs,Pacemaker Competition extractors, straight through 2.5inch exhaust,BA intake,XR ECU,XR fuel reg,Superlow King springs with KYB shocks all round,DBA slotted rotors all round,17s,HID kit ect ect I wish i still had that car, with fuel prices the way they are i would have put LPG in it. Fourth car (current), the R33, looked for ages for the right one. Found it in Melbourne so i flew down and drove it back. When it was in my garage i couldn't believe i had just bought it. It has certainly change alot since i bought it nearly 2 years ago now. Fifth car (current), 98 Proton Persona this car i use everyday for work and driving around. Its cheap to run and maintain.
  2. Does anyone know how to remove the rocker cover breathers? Do they have a thread or are they press fitted in? I want to replace them with two Earls 90 degree bends.
  3. Ill be there! As a spectator though. I only live 10mins away from Oran Park so if anyone needs to store some wheels/tyres or anything of value that you are a bit worried about leaving somewhere, send me a PM
  4. BRIDE ERGO with a super low rail.
  5. With the new seat and rail i now sit a bit lower than before, and ive moved the seat closer and more upright.
  6. I do have a little concern about my new clutch. I had an Xtreme cushion button before, now its a Jim Berry custom jobbie. With the clamp load now being 3700lbs its feels sooo much lighter than the Xtreme one. We have bled the clutch but it only improved it ever so slightly, so im beginning to think that its the way its suppose to be. Just a bit weird knowing a have a monster clutch but it feels almost standard compared to the last one.
  7. Yeh, and ill feel like a worried parent when its out in the shop for a few days lol
  8. It already has fully comp insurance. But i updated it weeks ago.
  9. Plenum problem now fixed, and installed the Greddy catch can. Just got to hook up all the vacuum lines and put the bonnet back on. Also added finishing touches like the Nismo oil cap and Nismo radiator cap. Im getting rather excited now as i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, i even spent 10mins sitting in it getting my driving position just right lol
  10. OK all, Throttle cable is done, tail shaft is on and radiator ect is in,we even put oil in it. Have a small issue with the plenum to fix but thats about it. For the first time in 5 months the car is off the stands and sitting on its tyres. I have booked the car in for the week after next to get all the piping done.

  14. CHOO-CHHOO-CHO-CHU-CHO-CH-CH My mate has a built XR Turbo and he doesnt use a BOV either. The flutter noise is sooo friggn annoying.
  15. Ill be sticking to Shell/BP 98 for the moment. Wouldnt like to take a gamble just so i could save $10 on a tank of fuel.

  18. Hi all, Just wondering if someone can tell me where i can find one of these: Its on a Greddy Plenum and its where the radiator hose attaches to.My one is badly bent so i need to remove it and put in a new one.
  19. The 256 Poncams will smooth out your curve a bit and give you a little bit of torque. If you go anything bigger you will need to upgrade your valve springs. The 260 deg cams will have a noticeable lump at idle, but nothing outrageous.
