    When I take my car for a belt I do the dipstick mod too. Does help and easy to swap over.

    How much power are you talking? 1200hp at 11,000rpm I and all of my mates with BIG powered RB25 combos revving over 8000rpm are using the non NEO head. If there was a significant difference in power and response we would have chosen the NEO....but there isn't.

    I found a good price last year for CTP using a comparison website and when I called the issuer the price was higher. The explanation was "those websites don't update as often as the insurer does". The best price for insurance I have found has been through brokers.

    Even with a 8k gear set you still have to show some mechanical sympathy. Im at 550rwkw on a stock box.

    Were they VL boxes that broke? What broke in them? I've gone through a couple of Rb25 boxes, though have not broken the gears, everything around them are what was breaking. It sounds like you give it a hard time so I would look at going a dog set. Award diff and gear box build them as well as Advance Motor Mechanics.

    Why are you upgrading? In my opinion I wouldn't be staying synchro if I was spending that kind of money on a gear set.

    You are comparing two TOTALLY different heads there mate.

    What are you showing me exactly? Spend a few grand on any head and it will out flow a stocker. What I am saying is by bolting on a NEO head over a non Neo head you are not going to see something magical happen power and response wise.

    If someone can show me a NEO head out perform a non NEO head for power and response on the same motor ill eat my shirt. The only advantage I see with a NEO head is the ability to use bigger cams while retaining VCT, all other differences would be hard pressed to see a change on a dyno. Use what you have and save your $$$.

    I took a clip of my car just idling, it was distorting the phone mic. So yes be prepared for it to be loud.
