The wheels on that car are worth about $3500. you will have to factor in ~$50-100 per week for fuel depending on how much you drive it or how hard.

With the laptop software i believe you can alter the point at which it flashes.

DiRTgarage, Am i reading this correctly that this ECU will self adjust for different fuels (bad batch, no premium available) in much the same way that the newer WRX ecu's do using knock values? As you have not put pricing in for launch control and the other features, do they come as standard? Can you use a combination of MAF and MAP based tuning?

Do you have the space to fit in a 16" offset barrel muffler (might have to get a truck one to keep it 3.5") at the rear in place of the cannon? it wont look pretty but should drop the 3db required.

If you can hold back on modifying the car investing in a piggy back signal bender like a SuperAFC for ~$200 and a tune towards economy will save you a bit on fuel.

Christian, As one of the other people said if you don't mind mounting the PC in the glove box or under a seat the ASUS EEE PC is a fantastic little unit and as it has a solid state hard disk (flash memory) there aren't actually any moving parts to it so unlike a normal hard disk it wont care if you drive down the worlds worst roads, Unfortunately it only comes with 4gb of memory in the machine itself. However can get an 8/16gb SD card and use the built in memory card reader for additional storage space. Using a USB slimline or slimline slot load DVD drive mounted in the glove box or the center console and it can play all your cd's and movies. Combine it with a USB touch screen, and decent front end software and it makes for a very versatile entertainment solution which doesn't cost much (comparatively to what most car audio places would charge for a similar system). Another option for the front end software is Centrafuse ( http://www.fluxmedia.net/ ). Although it does cost money it is a nice piece of software and very easy to use and customize.

Fuel pump, larger injectors ( nismo 555cc / stock S15 480cc ), after market ECU. The hks kit comes with all the new oil and water lines, gaskets and such. Everything else should be fine (assuming you have FMIC, ~3" turbo back exhaust, boost controller) Edit. Forgot about the clutch. The stock one wont like that much power

You could rebuild it, though that is expensive and you are still stuck with a stock turbo. You could replace it with a 2nd hand stock turbo ~$300, no guarantee that the turbo works but its cheap. You could replace it with a Garrett unit some are bolt on. You could replace it with a HKS GT-RS kit. Expensive but it comes with everything and is a fantastic bolt on turbo if you only want to make ~250-260kw (provided you upgrade the support systems for it).

correct. Also if its LED's the lights will only come on if the wiring is around the correct way. an easy test would be just to touch the two wires to the battery.
