R TUNE

Just wondering wht CAMS dictates a street reg drift car requires to run on the track. a few of us on boostcrusing (main one used in darwin) hav diffrent opinions glass head light taped. can they be removed if car not be regrsted even on night events does it need to have lights for night event indicators? can i take some glass out- not front or rear of course do i need a tailshaft loop? do i need to run 2nd bonnet catch ..IE bonnet pins? can some one point me in the rightway for the cams rule book

Why not protest in this way. orgonise a few crusies (properclub cruise) with WRX silvia club ect have sings on the side of your car like WE WONT RACE TRACKS or STOP CANCERLING RACE MEETS. cruise when heaps of people are around i.e satday avo. have the club preserdents say stuff to the media if they show up. better then turning up drunk and then the cops imo

You need to have track meets on regula ocations and open as many tracks as posible. thier is no way i wona drive 3 hours to the track and back. Up here in darwin the north australian motor sport comittie has at least a track event once a months and motakana every 3rd or so week. plus drags are on every friday and it costs about $45 for each event.

True. an 8 yo now knows more on operating a computer then what i probly would. HOW? they use them in school as standed (some schools). amagen when the 35GTR can be brought as a first car. GOD HELP THE KID THAT DRIVES IT. esperly if it's moded.

Had a thought while watching the news to night. Are we getting a head of our self in regards to technology? What brought this on was two new subjects. 1 being the Toyota situation in the USA (being investigated for poor quality by US congress, which is believe to be elec problems) as some of you may be aware a lot of new cars use electronic solenoids for accelerator, brakes and steering. No cable or rack and pinion. Pretty much every car comes with abs, ESP, power or torque split to any of the driving wheels. Brake assist, downhill assist. 2nd was talking about how in the next few years (probably months) broadband speed will be fast enough to allow 24H TV channels of the net. (Although it is predicted that a few hours of HD TV would use the monthly budget). Then at the end it mentions 3D TV will be available in about 6 months. Gee's LED TV’s just came out. Think about this. In 2003 most cars only had 2 air bags and ABS, and were still pretty much driver controlled. compared to 20 (drastic example, but were the cost of a front end crash which sets of all bags writes the vehicle off that is worth about 60k, did see this happen to a SAAB 93.) and so many driving aids and now no direct link to basic control. all you have to do is change the solenoid to get better performance and response. And in 2003 colour mobile phones with 2mp cameras were out and most TV were analogue and rear projection. Just wondering what people think.

Should move to darwin. basicly like melbourne was 10 years ago, altho 4 of the cops are down south so they love imports. but they dont bother you unless your stupid.

legal windown tint is . 35% on front windows (So front drivers and front passangers) 15% on rear windows (any thing behind the driver) I got this from the ADR book. ill get the link.

Ok removed the rear window tint due to being to bubly and wont to go darker. now that i removed the tint it has left a glue on the window. im currently useing wax and greas remover but it's takeing ages and requires a lot of force to dislodge. did try metho to no avail. does any one know of something that can 'cut' the glue with out scratching the glass and demister. brentt

The RB30DET (rb25/30 turbo) is a custom eng set up useing the RB25DE ot DET head and a RB30E block (found in R31 skylines and VL's imo R31 as they might have had a better life.) you can find spear eng from www.r31skylineclub.com in the forsale parts section, just look for some one who is wrecking a car. depending on the condition of yours. just swap over the conrods and pistions from the old block to new if they have being up graded. maby should look at a up graded oil pump to. im pretty shore all the RB oil pumps bolt on. and i have heard of people makeing a custom line from the back of the head to the sump for oil return to help in this area. also maby speek to some other workshops they might have an idea, casue if you had a gearbox or eng rebuilt it should be under sum sort of warnanty for workmanship. hope this helps

I think a R31 cross member would work if useing a rb20 box. as when you do the convertion on a 31 you can use the rb20 cross member so maby the same

I had a bad batch once. Picked it up from my local PB in dimond creek right after a heavy rain storm a few years back (which resulted in some flooding in some areas of melb) car would ideal like shit run like shit. put some fuel tratment in and just let the car run till was almost empty then field up about 2 weeks later and ran fine.

so a service every 6 months thats $200 000 a year or 2 34GTR with plenty of mods. or even one z tune and nur spec

if you do write sething sing it and copy it and have him to the same. then it becomes a legal document

Yes this is a good topic. I think im gona go the S14, Cause if i got the R32 i would be past considering an eng swap for a 3L so that blows the budget. plus the 32 is heaver. also can the 180sx head lights go on the s14 like the s14 cause that would look diffent imo plus i do like the pop up lights.
