  1. Haha, no worries Bec, it's really not a problem.
  2. I'm all paid up, me on my lonesome. Please put me on a table with Hamish and Merowyn if possible.
  3. Good one! I got much less use for that stuff now I am in construction. Would have been handy 10 years ago though!
  4. I run a Hybrid (HDi) intercooler on my 34, and ran a Hybrid on my old 33 (Joeyjoejoe's car). I bought them both from Flyn (http://www.flyn.com.au/). Decent price, quick delivery. Not sure about now though, this was a while ago. Check em out.
  5. If you had as much fun as it sounds, I am there for the next one
  6. Nice reference to Dr Strangelove As above, check your engine number, pull the passenger kick panel off and check the model/serial/etc on the ECU (havent seen a stock one for a while so I cant remember what to look for to identify it - I'm sure someone on here knows). Get a stock BOV. Aftermarket BOV is unnecessary for your application and will more than likely cause engine stalls. I wouldn't worry too much about the POD/FMIC... it isn't legal, you're right, but in a lot of cases it's the least of the defect problems. What you can do to lessen the problem is buy a black aftermarket air filter housing/box. Plenty of places sell, and you can even get em in carbon fibre... mmmmm. R32 GTR actuator is a relatively common mod and info can be found on SAU.
  7. VLT has got to be easier my old VL was a joke to get into, all you needed was cutlery LOL I think Hamish was more concerned about the instruction to pull the rubber back than the actual coat hanger to window switch part, but whatever.
  8. Saw Malz last night turning onto Nepean Hwy from North Road in Brighton. Hamish and I were getting ourselves a bucket of chicken and some grape drink in the Golf.
  9. I will make it this month unlike the last couple.
  10. I read or had heard, so dont know the accuracy, that most NEW cars leaving the car lot for the first time are often defectable. It would take a seriously pissed off and/or OCD cop to bother but nonetheless the defects are still there.

    Hoon Squad?

    lol fkn ridiculous
  12. belated happy birthday sik kent
  13. Kinda luck of the draw in that case... if he knows where it is, you can feign ignorance all you want, but if he can tell you exactly how to open it you're farting against thunder. You could refuse to open it straight out of course rather than feigning ignorance. In which case you will probably be receiving an EPA notice within 4 weeks of the encounter anyway I am damned if I do and damned if I don't regardless given my mods, so I just hope for nice or clueless coppers every time.

If you're car wasn't a defect magnet you shoulda stopped to assist in the unmarked cars enquiries
  15. Yeah, tbh, just because Nissan spent time and money in R&D on something doesn't mean we want it!
  16. I am over in Europe same time next year. Hamish maybe too. I was asking myself why the hell I would go to Europe in summer and here's the answer.
  17. roo spec ftw double posts are powerful
  18. I reckon: 1. If the copper knows he/she can show you. You then have no excuse. 2. Ditto point 1. 3. I always thought having your bonnet fixed in position was illegal anyway and grounds for him to defect you without even opening your bonnet. I also doubt their authority to touch your car, but if it all becomes too much for them they have an easy way out.... EPA notice. It's much more hassle than the defect anyway.
  19. Glad everyone had fun. I am a little pissed that my line is running a bit hot so I couldn't make it. You need to turn that TCS rubbish off! Even better get one of the TCS bypass boxes. Nothing worse than your motor dropping 3 cylinders for nothing!
  20. I love the "Bankai" license plate on one of the Honda Civic's.
  21. You're all an un-Australian lot aren't ya?? lol I didn't think it was old news, I thought it was the second or third time they had done this. These beers will end up as bloody lights. For the record, I don't drink VB if I have the choice either... it's still shit news for the local industry though. Sets a precendent, etc.
