  1. AWWW YEEEAAAAH Put me down for 1 in the biggest size!!!
  2. Thought so, thanks mate.
  3. I want to do that too! Did you just hand the car over or did you strip the parts yourself and hand them over? I'd love drop my car off for a day or two and pick it up having the engine looking like that.
  4. Gotta agree with Nismoid with regards to the wearing of club colours/displaying club logo's. The club doesn't condone the behaviour, it's in it's best interests to distance itself from the behaviour, and so can and should do everything in it's power to prevent the bad behaviour. However it can. I don't want that SAU sticker to translate to "pull me over", I want it to translate to "this guys in a car club, perhaps he should be given the benefit of the doubt as an enthusiast". It's a bit of a Utopian dream, but I got to have something. Femno, you do make a good point that the WEEKLY drags at Calder have been sorely missed, and that the crew playing up are most likely the guys that were at Calder religiously every week. They don't really have anywhere to go now for their weekly thrash sessions. Of course they can go to Sandown or Winton, etc, but do they have the same frequency and format as Calder? Nope.
  5. Spotted yellow R34 GT driving into Crown multideck carpark from Clarke Street. Had SAU stickers and green P-Plates.
  6. Still no luck for me either
  7. Car-X seem to do good work. +1. I went to Tint Professor or something. Did good work, for a decent price. This was a fair while ago now though.
  8. Yep, question was who can do a $1000 paintjob, it is unlikely that Micolour will be in a position to provide a paint job for $1000, so not really worth recommending, at least not without sufficient qualifiers. Answer to the OP is probably best stated in this fashion: 1. $1000 isn't generally believed to be enough for a re-spray but it is possible; 2. If you want to go ahead with it anyway, speak to friends of friends of friends who may be able to do it, or cruise springy/dandy for some cheap shops. Buy your own paint and push for discounts, see if you know anyone in the industry who can supply.Check out some of the recommendations in this thread; 3. If you want to get serious then go to Micolour and be prepared to spend many magnitudes more on the job but get the bee's knees of workmanship and quality. Simple!
  9. We can do a temp bonnet swap if you want beez. You'll just have to come over after 6pm tonight, to get them swapped. I am not around tomorrow night, or at all during the day. Me and Hamish will both be around to help do the work. Keep in mind my bonnet is white, the paint job is super crappy and I live a fair hike from you. Cheers.
  10. Sheen Panels are ok, massively expensive as Alan said. Do all you can to get the car out to Mick though, you won't be disappointed.
  11. 186cm = just over 6'1... my height
  12. Congrats gents.
  13. What's your goal height? 7ft?!?!
  14. Happy birthday!
  15. Got to agree with Matteo's for value for money in a rated restaurant. All these other places (i.e. Vue, Rockpool, the Botanical, etc.) are great, you can't go wrong. They are all pricey too though
  16. I'm running a HDi (Hybrid) intercooler which will handle more power than I am going to throw at it. I reckon they're in your price range. I've had no problems at all, but there's not much that go wrong anyway. I can't remember if the stock IC handles 250kw or not, but I think it should take your power levels. It will deal with a bit more boost on the stock turbo no worries at least. FMIC's look good so why not do it anyway ey. They are defectable when used with a POD or if the IC piping is cored through a structural section of body work though. I believe that bar and plate intercoolers have lower pressure drop when compared to tube and fin of the same specs. Tube and fin intercoolers overcome this by adding more rows and/or increasing the row size. I think generally tube and fin come out on top because they flow better inside and out when they increase the specs. I am not 100% sure about this but that's my understanding.
  17. I don't disagree with you at all. I don't have good enough evidence to suggest one way or the other. All I know is that cams did NOT hurt performance and in fact gave a little extra (ON PAPER), so why not!?
  18. My favourite is the VL closest to the camera, has his number plate mounted to the side to ensure that massive cooler gets enough air through the license plate mounting bracket.
  19. +1 for Motul oils.
  20. This is JJJ's dyno sheet from the first tune: http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm144/h...n/dynosheet.jpg This is mine: http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/4052/ji...ismdyno2qj4.jpg This is a fairer comparison between our tunes as Rob hasn't had a chance to fix my inj. latency's or shim the cams properly. JJJ is now running 270rwkw after a second tune. I am expecting a slight increase in power after my second creatd tune for the reasons mentioned before. I am yet to be convinced about poncams one way or the other but what I can say is that at our power level, there may be a difference in amount and delivery but it's f**k all. Cheers.
  21. I am in exactly the same boat as you. I am patiently waiting for my Z-tune front bar, I believe it's been over a month now. I am pretty sure I am going to get the bar, but I would have preferred it when it was promised. Cheers.
