  1. someone kick sand in your vag zebra? ever driven an NSX? they may not win any little games of 'top trumps' with a bunch of 6 year olds but they are a beautiful car to drive. not sure a 348 is a 'real supercar'.... they are a nice car, but good ones also fetch well over $100K in aus which is way more than NSX money.
  2. yeah I know, and to answer your question (as above) they are ok. not great but certainly not the worst options out there. but what you need to do is find out what spring rates come with the ones you are looking at and then decide if they are suitable for what you want to do with the car. like I said if these are cheap and in good condition then by all means use them, but if you actually want to find something good for your car start looking out for some bilsteins, Tein RA/RS, ohlins flag R, nismo R-tune etc. just depends on your budget and again what you want from the car. if you just want some good basic road suspension with some height adjustment then look at a set of the circlip adjustable bilsteins. they are pretty decent for the money. can be converted to fully height adjustable with 'coil-over kits' later if you want.
  3. power FC doesn't have 'quick tune' feature but with a datalogit you can log AFR and have actual AFR in the map so you can see what AFR in which cell etc. it does have narrowband closed loop control for cruise conditions though so you can use the simulated narrow band output straight into the power FC to keep a stoich cruise AFR.
  4. I'm not surprised you found some info that that test was a bit bogus. I had wondered about the zeitronix ZT2 being rated so low as to the best of my knowledge it's an excellent product. the ZT2 can support a whole bunch of stuff an LC1 and basic gauge can't. it has logging function and can support a whole range of useful inputs like EGT etc. it's a bit more expensive than the basic LC2 innovate kit but it's got more features for sure.
  5. pretty sure the XD16 was used with the LC1 in that test. the XD16 is just the display, you still needed the LC1 controller to work with it (i had one).
  6. for a 9inch rim 255 or 265 is as big as you want to go. 275 and bigger is too big for a 9inch wide rim. and unlikely they'll fit within the guards anyway. 255 is ideal but if you really want wider for some reason then by all means get the 265.
  7. dave, that set on the 32 with the dark grey centre with polished lip look sexual. like BBS LMs (probably one of my fav R32 GTR wheels) but with nice curve in the centre to give it some depth. you could try 11s but will definitely need some careful offset choice and at the least rolling/folding the guard lips and possibly even a little bit of flaring (doubt it though). fronts will be the same. need to fold the lip for sure and possibly remove the guard liners or at least modify them (can heat them up and re-shape them a bit). I'll say it again, they look hot. 18X10.5 or 18X11 with somewhere between +15 and +20 and you should be right. could order them in +20 or so and adjust as needed with small spacer.
  8. they are going to touch mate. if you want to be sure of clearance and don't want to modify inner or outer guards then you are best off with 18X9 +20. could possibly stretch to 18X9.5 but the problem is going to be the tyre anyway. you really need to stick with a 18/255 a 265 will rub so given you'll be kept to 255s then might as well just get the 9s as 255 is the perfect width for a 9 inch rim.
  9. sydking. seriously dude what the hell? of course he can use GTR coil-overs on his R32 GTS4. there is no difference in length or mount or anything else you can come up with. I know you're trying to help but if you don't know don't post it. R32 GTR and GTS4 have eyelet front lower mounts and fork type rear. front shocks are quite short on both models. they are completely interchangeable and even weight distribution and total weight of both cars is pretty similar. any R32 GTR gear will fit fine on your R32 GTS4. as far as HKS coil-overs go. they are ok. if you come across some in good condition with suitable springs and they are cheap then by all means use them, but I wouldn't go looking specifically for a pair for any of my cars.
  10. apart from that with a stock ECU the car will be much worse than it was everywhere. they change the way the engine breathes. with that change you MUST alter the tune. with a stock ECU it's going to be terrible. and even if you had all the other gear they are not likely to improve response/low down power. they shift the powerband and in this case they'll be shifting it further up the RPM band, not further down. spend the money on an ECU and tune instead. that will give you actual good results. you car will have more power everywhere and most probably better economy too.
  11. yep F is from engine to filter mount. E is return to engine. the two C's are cooler in and cooler out. not sure how it works inside but most will completely bypass the cooler core when oil is cold and gradually allow more flow to the core as engine approaches operating temp (usually 80C).
  12. yep, a few 90 models scraped in before the 15yo rule was scrapped. sadly as you found it's a sea of automatics with the odd manual in there at a heavily marked up price.
  13. no you can't import one. like any car on earth the can be (and have been) imported as a personal import but that's not a viable way to procure a car particularly now with the PI rules having been toughed again in recent years. so yeah, your only option is to buy one in aus.
  14. I use 3L can. some racing classes have a formula for catch can size based on engine capacity. the reason being if the engine goes bang how much oil/crap can it pump out before it's shut off (to help prevent oil downs on the track). for an RB26 3L is fine and can fit in front of the battery no problem. sump breather is a good idea. from standard they do breathe through the oil galleries so whether you run the breather from sump up to the covers (which is then vented to a can) or direct to the can it doesn't really matter.
  15. dude, cams on a stock ECU will be a waste of time. instead of spending money buying cams and cam gear and having them intalled (going to run close to $2K all installed). instead get a nistune or power FC and have it tuned. you'll get much better gains that way. putting in some aftermarket cams without re-tuning will have the car making LESS midrange and low down power. getting a tune on the other hand will give you more power EVERYWHERE including low down and midrange. at the most just get an adjustable exhaust cam gear and have it adjusted when you get the tune.
  16. post pics of the bits you have and one of us can tell you which port it which.
  17. get some flat pieces of wood (about the size of an A4 piece of paper) and place them under each wheel. put jack under car, lift it up off the stands, remove the stands, lower car onto it's wheels (on the blocks of wood) remove jack, now drive it off the block of wood. easy. if that's not going to work then you need some ramps or just wait for the lower profile jack.
  18. yeah summed up pretty well and for sure hamilton was the catalyst in that incident. I just hate vettel for the fact that he didn't avoid webber. webber managed to avoid hamilton's stupid arse, vettel should have been a bit more circumspect given the track conditions (rain). and yeah I'm not sure hamilton and webber are great mates. which is unusual as webber seems to be pretty well liked by everyone. he seems to be pretty close with alonso for one who doesn't seem to make many other friends! he was head of the GPDA for a few years too.
  19. yep rekin nailed it. part of the alarm system. lol, mine had a toggle switch so you could arm disarm the 'alarm' in the car! not much good when a theif hops in and just turns off the switch...
  20. for sure. it's a big hypothetical and we'll never know the answer but there's no doubt that things would have been different with seb walking into a team where webber was their golden boy and first ever race winner. not sure in what way it would be different but certainly something would have shifted. and again it's why i'll never forgive the little prick. i bet deep down webber still holds a grudge too. webber had been in with some half chances before but that day he fought like a motherfker, though the spew in the helmet, though the nausea so bad he could barely see, through the rain, through the field, was closing in on hamilton at pace and then got handed a safety car. it really looked like him getting a struggling hamilton was only going to be a matter of time and then fking vettel came along. vettels been screwing him ever since! lol. if he's still had a team mate anything like his previous ones he would have probably won the 2010 WDC too. without a teammate to crash into him now and then and rob points off him now and then it quite possibly wouldn't have even gone down to the last race. they are all 'what-ifs' and possibly wishful thinking on my part but there's no doubt at the time when webber finally got the car he deserves he also got the team mate to go with it. for a guy who has clearly beaten all the team mates he's raced with it must be a bitter pill to swallow.
  21. yeah but webbers had plenty of experience with disappointment already! lol. if disappointment stirs the boy up he'd be just about bursting by now.
  22. ask for the auction sheet and post it up then the guys here can tell you more about it.
  23. nice, no pics of the Czech hookers is a bit disappointing though...
  24. yeah that kimi vid one of my favourites. 'hey kimi you missed pele's big speech' *kimi deadpan: "I was taking a shit". lol.
  25. lol. webber is hardcore. no one should ever question if the bloke wants to be in F1. 'umm got food poisoning, feeling sick think I should retire... *blurrrg* sorry just vomited down my helmet' "ok mark, in this lap, box box box" 'nah, think I'll stay out, most of the spew is out of me now and in my helemet and all down my race suit. getting a second wind up.' ______ no wonder he was fking ropeable when vettel took him out under safety car. that is why I've never forgiven vettel. yes he carries on like a tool but fact is the kid is a great driver but I just can't help but think that race with webber in P2 behind hamilton and massively faster than hamilton in those conditions that that was supposed to be webbers first win and would have done it in pretty amazing circumstances... I will never forgive you for robbing webber of that win in japan vettel. NEVER!
