Sure does Clint. I saw one last night, and u can lift it off the groung with like 3 fingers...heaps lighter That doesnt look too bad without the grille either.....ive found a latch and upright support for cheap too...

cheers. I had a look, an the lights do have the clips there.... I might have to wait see if i can find someone with a GTR frontcut....or a wreckers interstate for the latch....

yer i do mate as a matter of fact...the springs are lowered slightly....still in the shed. Let me know if you wanna come for a look...

better fuel economy in Rb30det because of lack of throttle usage...im quite happy most of the time putting around off boost....it has the same feel as the rb20 did on boost

Thanks Chris I may have a GTR bonnet lined up, so may be looking for a few pointers how to fit it? Just means ill have to delay the final tune for a bit now so damn close then things like this slow me down....

U need a custom gearbox x - member, not the gearbox mount. (Although i do have a urethane gbox mount on mine, and it does make vibration/noise worse through the chassis...ie slight vibration) The tailshaft needs the rb25 yoke out the gearbox, the r33 geardrive (little plastic cog on end of speedo drive), R32 gtr speedo drive (mount r33 cog on end). Tailshaft can be custom (i heard someone may make one for the conversion?) Pretty sure no difference in strength between the two boxes.

yer, just hoping someone in SA had upgraded to a cf/aftermarket one, and has their old one lying around i could grab.... Good news is that their isnt any damage to the radiator support. Just the passenger side light pushed in a little...only cosmetic damage.

I had a small prang today....not happy :bs!: Anyway, my bonnet suffered most of the brunt of accident. Its golt a slight fold halfway in it, and the front part is crumpled. I need either : a) a cheap r32 Gtst bonnet (preferably in black) B) a fibreglass Gtst or GTR bonnet. c) a GTR bonnet. If i go for the GTR style i obviously need the latch / front grille etc.... So, if anyone knows someone with any of the above, please send me a pm or email.

Id ask for an itemised list of what the $800 fee is for exactly...shouldnt cost that much to make it "just start" Like Roy said, track down why the car wont start at the basics.....ie do the dash lights come on, does the fuel pump prime, does it actually crank but not fire? etc....

and rb31's can rev...it just needs a set of cams to have a 7500 rpm safe rev limit

Piston slap, as said above by fatz, is only really noticeable if the machinist doesnt know what he/she is doing.... Joel and myself went for twice over std. bore (40 thou) and use Wiseco forgies...they do a great job, and i have trouble hearing any slap, but Joel reckons he can hear it a tiny amount. Oh yer, one of the guys in the rb30 thread makes a 4wd sump adaptor, and the exhaust doesnt need modding all the time. Joels exhaust bolted straight up.
