  1. Hey, hows it goin mate Diff is going great. One of the best things ive bought for my car actually. Was very easy to get used to, and helps the car out heaps. Its still set on soft, the way i got it from you Roads are bumpy here in Adelaide too, so id like to keep NVH down as low as i can get it...its mainly my daily driver, so more traction is always good
  2. Cheers Steve. Im doing the rear cradle over christmas, and i think ill go for new sub frame bushes, combined with poly upper and aluminium lower pineapples...thanks for the help I did remember you told me drifters need the grip.. Oh yer...got a hicas lock kit here waiting to go on as well...will do that after doing the cradle, then get a wheel alignment shortly after Dont really want to set the car up for drift...more grip to help with the torque:uh-huh:
  3. I run redline. It might be overkill, but i like things running smooth, so id say 10,000kms change it....unless someone else knows the proper service intrevals on a mechanical diff....it aint hard to do either way..
  4. 0.82 on the gt35r...you can fit a coke can in the opening on the exhaust side Id say 350rwkw will be reached no probs...and yer sticky tyres are a must
  5. i got my genuine engine mounts from Unley nissan. The mission mount i got from D1 garage.
  6. Cubes, can u have a look at how mine is done...i want a straight feed from the battery with a relay too I think my 044 is using the std wiring atm....
  7. I'll be following your updates with eagerness...:uh-huh:
  8. rb30 drops in using all std rb20det gear, including all factory sensors, and injectors. It helps with the setup costs of installing the motor, allowing you to save for bigger upgrades in the meantime
  9. Vey useful information here people People buy pinapples (Alloy or urethane ones) instead of replacing these bushes to tighten up the rear end. All the alloy pinapples do is squash the std rubber worn mounts solid, to mimic new bushes as shown above. Buy these instead of pinapples if your rear end feels loose, before "tuning" the rear end for drift, or drag Also note you cannot buy replacement std bushes from Nissan, so these (or nismo i believe) are your only option.
  10. Ive got a genuine nissan drivers side engine mount here at my place somewhere here u can have for cheaper than i bought it for. when i pulled out my rb20det, the engine mount rubbers were shagged, so i bought both sides to replace em. Drivers side was impossible to get out, so we left it in, and replaced the passenger side one that was stuffed. It pulled the metal away from the rubber (and the stud with it) like yours, meaning your motor is just resting on the passenger mount Take it easy till you fix it.... Pm me if you want the drivers side mount. Id agree with the gearbox mount, as mine was also stuffed when i pulled the box out with the motor. I replaced it with a urethane mission mount, but i must admit it does add some vibrations to the ride....stick with std, or Nismo ones if you must upgrade.
  11. got a link to those nismo mounts SK?
  12. Well....i started with an rb20 Why not use the car u have now?
  13. That vid looks like how my car handles now Roy with it all tuned up....difference is mine runs 1 bar, and only revs to 6000rpm Nice footage though
  14. i'll be danged...Noltec it is then
  15. Thanks SK...i was looking at replacing the worn std bushes with polyurethane ones, then maybe adding the pinapples later. Looks like i might just replace the worn bushes and see how it goes from there.....
  16. cheers for that SK. Datalogit time....
  17. cool cheers for that
  18. I dont have axle tramp at all suprisingly. I wanna replace the mounts first, then move onto these alloy pineapples.... Car is mostly street driven, with the odd track in the future. No drift, just circuit Maybe drags if i feel like having a number....(pmk me what you can get them for ) cheers.
  19. Being 3" mufflers, they are physically smaller than say a 5 or 6" cannon poking out from under your car. I bought a twin system for a r33, then had it custom mounted to my r32. The actual mufflers sit further under my car than my old cannon did, and all you can see it the 2 x 2.5" tips
  20. Howdy, Just had the car tuned recently, and its making more power obviously. With my 2 way diff, you can feel the rear end move around now. I need advice on how to stiffen the rear.... Do I replace the bushes with std ones, or go the Noltec urethane ones? How much NVH does the urethane ones add to the car? Car is mainly a road car with some track work intended in the future. Which "pineapples" do people suggest - the alloy ones, or the other urethane ones? Im thinking of going for the Noltec, with the alloy mounts but dont want the ride to become a rattle box.....
  21. Ive got a straight through 3" to 3.5" split to 2x 2.5" catback system with a "modified:D" cat. Its got 2 x 3" mufflers at the rear of the car. With the 2 mufflers by themselves the car is damn quieter than i expected, and flows quite well...
  22. dunno if i wanna pay $600 for a tune....if the datalogit solves our problem, id rather buy it myself, and let Shaun have a play
  23. It doesnt change load points. Only lowers the voltage seen by the afm, and dumps more fuel in....
