  1. Id say there's your problem.... ditch it, get a power fc, and get it tuned properly by Shaun at BoostWorx.
  2. I was looking at a BNR32 chassis today. They appear to be different in a couple of places. The first being next to the trans tunnel on the drivers side for clearance of the transfer case of the gearbox. The second (which may affect you) is the two rails in the engine bay that go to the front of the car. They have large cutout bumps about halfway for clearance of drive axles for the 4wd. Its definitly not possible to convert a gtst to a 4wd, without a lot of work. Id even say that the suspension setup would be different....so it may look like you cannot swap gtr to gtst stuff in that way....sorry. Someone else may correct me on some of these though, as i havent worked on a GTR. Only just what ive seen.
  3. A guy i know has one as a project car, and i know from talking to him sr20 is the way to go. Rb20 may fit, but it requires a bit of custom work to be done. That will be a big thing you will find when you want to do anything to the car too....hes always telling me there is NOTHING that is a bolt in upgrade. Everything you want to do requires welding/cutting and making it yourself. If you cant do any of that...id sell it Or try the gazelle forums
  4. Ive got a high pitched squeel on full boost...i just tell the mrs to be quiet and it goes
  5. what kind of noise? grinding? You can buy a rebuild kit. (Ive got an rb20det pump) The cheap kit for seals does o-rings and gaskets. It retails for around $35. Next is the rotor and cam ring kit....its the part inside that does the pumping i guess. This is where the grinding noise i would say comes from. For the rb20 it has 2 of these - 1 in the front half of the pump for the power steering, and the rear for the HICAS. The rb20 one retails for $225 roughly, but yours being rb25, it doesnt run hicas off the pump so it will be cheaper. Id say cost up a good second hand pump. OR go to Nissan and ask them how much for the o-ring/gasket kit, the driveshaft for the pump, and the bearing at the front. See here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=31395 Its for the rb20det, but id say it will be the same...

  7. Why doesnt anyone make one for the clutch master cylinder? Ie got a OS twin plate with an r33 box in my r32 and the firewall flexes a fair amount when using the clutch also. I spose i could make one up....would it have any decent affect anyone think?
  8. Its the matrix....
  9. I find the car warms up best when starting it then driving off for a short drive. That your radiator is working as it should Thats the way the water flows.... Make sure you filled the overflow bottle up too, and one last thing i do is squeeze the top hose so the waters right at the top as i screw the cap on. Then i know theres no bubbles
  10. Had one in my r32. 9 puck ceramic cushioned centre. It was a heavy clutch that was very on / off at low speeds. I have an OS Giken twin plate now, and its heaps better (softer pedal, not on on/off) than the xtreme. Wont be changing back.....
  11. Oh yer, buy one that is tight! The foam inside goes loose after a while, so if you dont buy one with a snug (tight!) fit to start it will end up too sloppy on your head down the track...
  12. Keith at Total Motorcycles...come off bridge rd onto research rd, then its the first right hand turn. Then go to the end of the cul de sac, and its in the gates on the right hand side. he sells motorbike stuff, but has a few good cheap (new) helmets there. He doesnt charge like a cut pig as well.....
  13. they are the same as rb30, cos i used em on a rb25de head and they are the same. r31 skyline, vl commodore, r32 skyline all the same....
  14. got an ECU. PM me what its worth to you....
  15. PHATR32 the pump in the diagram, is that for rb26dett, and the rb20det pump out of the r32? I assume (looking at the diagram) that the only differences between the GTR model pump and the rb20 pump is the suction pipe? Could you tell me what manual the diagram came out of? (Ive got the r32 engine manual, but not here on my gf's comp) could you send me the pages that tell you how to pull it apart, and rebuild it? Cheers.
  16. Is the power steering pump off a r32 GTR the same as the power steering pump off a r32 GTST? Are the pulley sizes the same or different as well, and can they be changed over? Thanks
  17. will let you know if i need the power steering pump mate, i just need to find out if the 32 GTR one is the same as the GTST one... Darren.
  18. remember rb25de has hydraulic lifters, and rb26 has solid
  19. Put nitrogen in the tyres....thats supposed to help too Ive got a single piece tailshaft in my car behind the r33 box, and i swear it weighs about half of what the rb20 one did. Maybe one of those could offset the extra weight too
  20. Ive got a r33 box in my 32 Roy. You can hardly notice the difference in ratios...well i cant when going from Joels car to mine it feels the same. The only way not to get stung with a dud box is buying one with a warranty, or a recent rebuild history... I didnt think you could "beef up" a manual box, but autos can be played with. If you decide to go for another box it would mean custom fabrication (like cutting welding bellhousings).... R33 box is a damn good bolt on soultion for a r32, its just buying the worn out box you have to be careful with......
  21. interested in the headlights, and indicators.... Pm what your roughly after, and any chance of pics....or organize a look? Im in Adelaide as well..
  22. Trick with sea sickness is to keep your head up and on the horizon. It helps, but ive done the power chuck too.....open up and say "BLARRRRGHH" Then theres them tablets that help too...
  23. pretty sure thats the same as i got. Let me know if you want it.
