  1. Nothing to do with me though. Cant say who did it....a simple stupid mistake.
  2. 1 blown rb20 due to an overtightened idler bearing done at the 100,000km service. Me = up shitt creek without a paddle.
  3. Please dont come on here and recommend him for doing top service, as you have said your dad knows him. Its not like the rest of us would get the same sevice from him, or any of his staff.... Mates rates, and knowing someone dont mean jack sheit to the rest of us....
  4. Im currently in the process of making some beefed up clutch pedal boxes because the one in my r32 broke. It managed to snap the two spot welds on the left side, put 2 cracks in the top (piece fell out after reomoving pedal box), and had a split in the top where it bolts up the top under the dash. This was after a year of using a 9 puk xtreme ceramic button clutch, and 6 months of an OS Giken twin. Would there be any interest for some made up for r32 or r33? Just seeing as im making one, i may as well make a few.... will post pics of std r32 unit soon and then the beefed up version, made out of thicker steel etc....
  5. :bahaha:
  6. you can legally put 235 tyres on a 9.5" rim
  7. Leaking clutch master cylinder may be pumping oil back down the pedal. Have you got a hydraulic clutch?...lol Maybe time for new cylinder....
  8. LOL...i reckon the charcoal cannister is not letting the petrol tank vent properly, and not being able to suck petrol enough under boost The pump may work, and so will the regualtor, but if the tank isnt breathing, it may just not be circulating air for petrol fast enough.... Did that make sense?
  9. Im hoping to make a reinforced pedal box, and reinforce the firewall with a stopper, because i can see this will be the next thing to break (as you have found out)
  10. See, thats the motivation i didnt have
  11. unfortunatly no. As the bracket curves downward making cableties slip off as you push the pedal in. I tried cableties, and using some small vice grips to clamp the bracket together. I was stuck at work in the carpark, and had to call a towtruck to get it home
  12. OK people....speaking of the clutch master cylinder flexing....today the clutch hanger snapped the spot welds. The two bolts that poke through the firewall, if you look inside the car there is a bracket the clutch pedal hangs off with the studs for the master cylinder going through the wall... It popped the spot weld(s) on the left hand side of the bracket. It now needs to be taken out and reinforced then put back in. It leaves me worried what will brake next when i put it back. Time to make the clutch stopper.... (ive got a OS twin plate clutch so its by no means a heavy pedal either:))
  13. Well the way i look at it you need to go back to basics to eliminate stupid stuff.... Its lean? And was all 3 dyno runs above on the same dyno? Have you looked at an inlet manifold leak? You know that trick where you spray around the inlet manifold and listen if the revs change?
  14. numbers cast into the front left hand side of the head i think. That and the visual size difference of the valves.
  15. it should be about 0.46v at idle (throttle closed)
  16. There are other bleed points i think, one being on the rack itself. Make sure you check all hoses for cracks. Do a search for bleeding from the rack. If all else fails, time to take it to a workshop.
  17. I thought you might like that
  18. Apparently.... The gt35r withthe 0.82 rear housing flows the same as the Gt30r with the 1.06 hosing....
  19. i like the way its still got the pvc tube on the roof for the 1/4
  20. just jack the car up so the front wheels are off the ground. (Makes it easier and doesnt leave marks in the driveway:)) You dont need to crack a hose, just fill the reservior up and leave open. Then turn the steering wheel full left to right watching for bubbles to come out. Keep going till bubbles stop..Keep topping fluid up as it goes down though.
  21. the rb30e may sound shitter, but the rb25/30 hybrid has got its own sound. Id say the rb20 sounds like a car with a fat exhaust note - more noise than HP, then the rb25 sounds a bit gutsier, rb26 sounds different again (id say due to all previos things mentioned). The rb30 has a very deep rumble note. I dropped it in my car changing nothing else but the engine, and it sounds like the rb20 did, but with a better rumble...like its talking the talk now its walking the walk
  22. 044 + rx7 series 5 550cc injectors.
  23. cops bum it sounds like a commy...:bs!:
  24. I think we all know the answer to that Can i ask if you have done a compression test on the engine?....
