  1. When I was running std injectors on mysetup at peak power I saw 92% duty. Over rev it a tad (another 400rpm) and to hold a 12:1 AFR I had to run 100% duty.
  2. haha yer.. that was me. Went for a little spin to check out a mates mate vn dungadoor that he recently fitted a turbo to. Turns out the turbo's buggered and won't spin. :S I was all scruffy, haven't had a shave. Don't shave for 1 day and it looks like I haven't for a week. lol I'm waiting on the new turbo its killing me, the std turbo thats on it now is pushing a little oil around the system so boost is back down at 10pounds. 10pounds feels so damn gutless compared to umm... what it was running before. No wonder its died. Thats a very clean R34 Andy. Very nice.
  3. Grab an adj fuel pressure reg and bump fuel pressure up a few psi. 92% isn't too bad but watch those cold nights and overrev's. You may see close to 100.
  4. It does sound like blowby. Check the oil hasn't been overfilled. Check it when cold not after it has been started, I saw some one do this recently resulting in excessive blowby.

You also did a diff, threw a twin plate in it etc etc it does add up very quickly, especially when others are doing the work. Andrew... So no skinned knuckles or cuts... oh there's blood did I cut myself. Done that many times. Hows the new radiator?
  6. Even though difficult to compare the 33 to the 32. How do you find the car is balanced? Understeer or over? The way it is now the front never pushes, it will always start stepping out the rear slowly and predictably. :S Did you go sway bars as well? I'll move this shit in to another thread.
  7. Thought as much. I can only ever squeeze 50-52litres in mine once the light comes on. I generally pull 430 to just under 500 depending on where and how its being driven.
  8. I've looked in to that. They still sit at around 350mm from memory which is too low. Well its not but it is to mr police officer. You can have another groove placed in it but 'apparently' the springs become a little noisy due to the lack of compression or something. Not sure. Bl4ck32 is soon to do it so that will be the deciding factor. The whiteline shocks/springs from whiteline them selves handle really well with the stock sway bars on the r32's. Unsure how sk's setup works but bl4ck32's sits really nice, neutral balanced.

70k is a lot. Mines only just hit 15k due to a few recent mods that will continue in to the next week or so. Includes motor, turbo, fueling, a little paint, fmic, exhaust, diff and a few other bits and pieces. :S You'll never see it in a workshop though as I do all the work myself, so I've saved a hell of a lot right there. I still have another 2-3k to spend on it but. I'm not lowering the car, just throwing a set of new shockers in to it and I'll play with sway bars to prevent the roll. UNLESS some one knows of a spring manufacturer who sells std height springs but with a higher spring rate. Then a little tweak of the sway bars and it will be just where I want it.
  10. Looks like a nice base for cracking 300rwkw. Built bottom end or just a headgasket to drop the comp a touch so you can push 20odd psi in to it?
  11. I have been lucky enough not to have a syncro problem as of yet. A few times I have thought I was possibly having syncro problems when it came down to a leaky mastercyl, then the slave cylinder went and another time a pedal box that popped its welds. So check those few before laying out $$ on oil. Castrol Syntrax is another VERY good gearbox oil thats not to be overlooked.
  12. Well back to AnzacDragway... No wonder anzac's is full of crazy's....
  13. How was the dump designed (split or open bell mouth)? Exhaust manifold? Interesting one car has perfect boost control yet another doesn't. Initially dangerman4 did have issues with boost tailing off which was related to another tuners lack of experience with the pfc ebc.
  14. Not sure about the .63 but the GT3540 .82 internal gate flows plenty well. Dangerman4 pushes 24psi through his gt3540r .82 IW using a pfc ebc on the same dyno I run on. No spike, no drop; holds boost ruler flat. So definitely not a donkey. I do suspect the .63 with the IW may have issues as the smaller the turbine housing you go the larger the wastegate required. BUT, thats only speculation. Its also interesting to note garrett have revised their IW housings since making the ford version. The new non-ford IW garrett housings completely seperate the exh gas from the wastegate and overall it is slightly better designed. I haven't measured both wastegate flaps so I can't comment on any size differences.
  15. Thanks.... Curious.. Are you still running the std throttle body/cross over rubber joiner and IC pipe joiners? I've just discovered my comp cover to IC pipe joiner is leaking slightly and it displayed the same characteristics as your problem. Pain in the arse when cold but ok when warm.
  16. You'll be looking at it coming on hard close to 4.5-5k. You can buy the .63 int gate housing from garrett but they are worth around $500. So s/h xr6t turbo for 1k + 500.. Your really better off buying a newy for a couple hundred more. Its a very large turbo for your goals. Don't do it.
  17. Yep Fingers crossed. Thanks for the update Terry!
  18. Thats right just a simple clutch replacement. Check out the slave cyl, and pivot ball while your under there. If your after a slave/master cyl contact All clutch and brake listed in the workshop sticky. The blokes owned an R33 for the past 6years odd and knows what fits what. For example... Slave cyl for mine was ~$38, master cyl was $75 new.
  19. taynewguy, Did you resolve the problem? Was it worse when the car was cold?
  20. Ignore the torque its tractive effort; gearing, tyre/wheel size, gear alters the reading.
  21. Dale. Thats pretty much power wise what I have observed. Response and low gear spool.. You can never really tell when a car is on the dyno as the ramp rate gives even a large turbo time to spool nicely. In a low gear on the street that massive turbo hardly makes any real grunt in first gear but on the dyno its not that far off a smaller turbo that pulls well. GT3071 - 250ish (pulp) GT3076 - 280-310ish (on pulp) Then GT3040 doesn't appear to have much on the GT3076 unless your running some decent fuel, assuming due to the small turbine not being able to pass the required exh. resulting in back pressure where detonation sets in due to contamination of the inlet charge. - 280-360ish. (pulp, martini and c16) If I crack 280rwkw on the GT3076R on the rb30det with the r32's gearing (All though I've dropped to a 4.08:1 with no noticable loss of off idle torque, the larger motor is strange the way it reacts to higher gears.) and weight I think it will be a damn quick off idle/overall package that will be difficult to touch.
  22. Don't the GTR's run a bigger fuel tank? I remember seeing it in one of the manuals I believe.
  23. Well see.
  24. Thanks buddy... I really think the GT3076r is going to be exactly what I want on the 3ltr. I'll be sure to let you all know what I think of the combination wether you want to or not. lol
  25. You do get what you pay for. Cheap tint turns purple. I had mine done by Tint-A-Car on South road st mary's also.
