  1. The walbro will be fine. You won't be running excessively high rail pressure as boost will only be around 14psi max.
  2. When I had the bottom end of mine crack tested the engine builder pointed out a few spots on block, rods, crank and girdle where they tend to crack if they do at all. I think in r33_racer's experience it was just pure bad luck.
  3. Go the rx7 injectors. Bl4ck32 runs them, gets excellent economy so the old 'they are squirter's not sprayers' really doesn't apply. I wasn't able to find a reasonable set when I was looking. So I went GTR inj. instead, I up the rail pressure a little and they should see me through to the power I am after.
  4. All though I can still see the coils arcing out once warm I am no longer getting the pop/miss fire. So it has worked, I'm not running much boost at the moment (12psi) so with more boost it may very well fall on its face again. A new set of coils are going in none the less. A mate of mine runs 16psi through a highflow and thats popping badly where a massive power loss is felt. I'll silicon up his in a week or so and let you all know how it goes. Also.. The silicon is holding up perfectly fine. No peeling, melting etc. I did make sure I cleaned the coils well prior (prepsol)
  5. I did request a classified section for SA some time ago without luck. I've requested again so.......... time will tell.
  6. Over here we have a few different car wash places: Car Lovers, BP and another. Within that car wash place they all have a lazer wash which is a brushless car wash, just highpressure water. The car wash places all have the diy stuff that well; isn't named anything. So over here the Lazerwash is a car wash. DIY is diy.
  7. I too have tried a few different lazer washes. All miss spots.
  8. lol.... What did you think of the diff ratio in the VLT paired up with the 3ltr compared to your 4.11's? Just a tad long or?
  9. Which means less flow.
  10. I'm sure following the correct bed in procedure would soon show if there were any issues.
  11. First up.. Your Scat rods.. This may be of interest. http://calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t...beam+discussion Also.. Over at ct.com ACL bearings are not thought of that highly. However its a good price. I'm certian you know what I went with: Wiseco pistons, King HP bearings, rb25 cometic headgasket, std rods resized, block, rods & crank crack tested and all Heinz Balanced etc. That set me back ~$3500 Other bits on top, oil pump, vrs kit, head rebuild/porting, waterpump, cam belt, tensioners etc. Adds up so quickly.
  12. 190rwkw.. Nice and conservative. What are the specs on the GT28r? http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...bochargers.html Lots of GT28's there.
  13. I'm keen to see the results also. Speak like dis and dat and expect to be ribbed about it. Have some fun but its not an excuse to get personal about it. Drivers comment was just stirring the pot, perfectly fine in my book.
  14. So you've got your self a set of R33 GTST 370cc Injectors? How do you plan to fit them as they are sidefeed? If your running a pfc you will obviously have to trim the injectors and also adjust the lag values for it to run correctly. From memory the R32 RB20DET/RB25DE injectors run a 0.77ms lag time where as the R33 injectors are around the 0.54ms lag time.
  15. It was a couple of years ago now. Shaved head? Definitely a top bloke, he explained in detail what was done to the head but honestly, it went over my head. Where does he work now? I would have liked them to do the bottom end also but it was just out of my budget.
  16. Definitely an impressive mph.
  17. http://www.performancesprings.com.au/ Let them know your intended usage.. Cam lift, duration, rev's, boost and valve size.
  18. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=197023 lol
  19. For the price of the spool rods its pretty hard to say no. I was talking to one bloke a little while back via PM that began experiencing float at 20psi through is r33 rb25det head. I believe he may of went with a set of springs from PerformanceSprings. ~$285 for a set.
  20. I didn't deal with Chris him self but saw him lurking about from time to time. The champ I dealt with was Brenton.
  21. They are 100% The R32 RB25DE injectors that came with bl4ck32 and my own head were both red top high imp injectors. I dropped a multimeter on them myself.. 100% high imp. Same part numbers everything. The R32 RB25de's don't run a resistor pack of any kind, its not in the diagrams in the engine manual, only the rb26 does. I'm sure mr_rbman could also confirm as he too ran a R32 RB25de head on his rb30. Interestingly the injectors that came out of my rb20det were clear top with a red dot. Not that it has anything to do with r32 rb25de but I found it interesting. They must have run out of red plastic.
  22. I was quoted $200 to releather the stock steering wheel a couple of years back. From some place in the city that sells all the top line race seats and steering wheels. Not sure if u could get the stock knob releathered as it needs the shift pattern. Maybe an R33 knob? Are they a similiar look? R34 maybe?
  23. All though Ash asked for valve springs to be done without the head coming off the $800 price is probably to cover incase they had to rip the head off. It is fairly pricey. Definitely worth the work doing mine myself. Miltons only want to charge me $100 to fit valve springs up so I'll have them do it + throw a different set of cams in and maybe a little more work to the heads exh. side. Hell its all apart anyway. I'm happy with the head work Miltons did on mine last time, there was a noticeable difference before and after by just feeling around, and the main thing. The economy is pretty damn good being close to what the rb20det used to get. I was a tad worred about porting etc as I had heard a few horror story's of it buggering up economy.
  24. R32's are cheap bombs now.. lol
