  1. Looking forward to the next gen hardware.
  2. Yep its definitely difficult to slide on especially if the attachment has a lip of any sort. Grab a rag and smear on some rp7/wd40. Works quite well. Just don't go overboard as wd40 i'd imagine isn't too good for the oil. Connecting it to the motor is difficult and you will end up feeling like your going to break your forearm pushing it on. Cut the oil drain off so that its straight, thats what i ended up having to do as mine too was on an angle or does it angle from the start of the attachment? :S That bit of hose I gave you was the softest stuff I found in that size. The gear I got from pirtek was very very solid.
  3. Plugs must be gapped at 0.8mm The cracks are quite hard to see. I missed them at first. The ones that I thought were not cracked under the camera showed as they were indeed. I think they must also crack some where else as I siliconed up the crack that I could see yet i can see it arcing on the opposite side. Either way its fixed the pop for me for the mean while.
  4. The VP Wagon apparently weighs in at 1380kg's. They weigh bugger all because they are rather flexy chassis.
  5. Roy, Clint who I haven't seen around for some time built up an rb25 with 26 internals nice cams and a GT30 .82. The threads in the SA section of basic specs and the exact turbo. He ran a high static comp thats one thing I do remember. Mid 20's he made 580hp on an engine dyno and then once in the car with a slight tweak it ended up making 338rwkw or there abouts. I'll dig up the thread. Such a pitty the pics are gone as the thing looked awesome. You may remember it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=61561&hl= In the car he was running 1.5bar (so low 20's) and had cams. Again don't know what cams. I do remember he was running a touch more boost on the engine dyno to make 580hp at the fly.
  6. Looks tidy.. Whats the colour of the leather? The photo looks almost grey or is that just the flash? Any chance of a bigger 640x480 or 800x600 photo and upload it to sau via their attachment? I need my steering wheel done so I think I will most definitely follow your steps.
  7. Airflow vs RPM. The old rb20det running 16psi on the stock turbo would see fuel cut at around 5500rpm on a cold night. THe RB30DET on the stock ecu would see fuel cut on 6-7psi with the stock turbo at ~3000rpm.
  8. What happens when one of you crash it? Everyone dings their first car.. well most.
  9. Nice.. Looks promising. So we use our old pickup etc?
  10. Its not so much the power levels but boost run and rpm used. I recently had a dude pm me stating his r33 experienced valve float on its std springs (unsure if he ran cams and what rpm) with anything over 20psi.
  11. 60degree's sure is some funky timing. CAS?
  12. yep.. a bit like mad082 driving his 200rwkw r33 and myself driving a 150rwkw r32 rb20det thing.. mad082 grannyshifts, bogs it off the line etc so i would spank his whale. lol
  13. The line from the filter connects to the lower fuel rail line? The line not from the filter connects to the top fuel rail line that comes out of the fuel pressure reg. Thats how you have yours?
  14. Not sure... low down power hence displacement is what rules off the line performance in auto cars. Dropping a higher stall really isn't fair as we are comparing stock vs stock really. Manuals you can get around the low end hole.
  15. Yep the Vl auto box's are like rubber bands. + the 3ltr doesn't have that much down low so the only option is a manual where you can bring the rev's up and play fair. I found the manual VN-VS's to feel a little sluggish off the line actually. Its as if the auto actually help them lunge off the line.
  16. You haven't accidentally put the fuel lines around the wrong way?
  17. Sold to Nisr32 pending payment. Only a couple of mins off Z240.
  18. Performance springs... All though for the R34 head they are a tad more expensive than the R33/R32 items. R33/R32 items are approx $285 where as the R34 items are just over $500 for a set. http://www.performancesprings.com.au/
  19. I have a new never been used Alloy External Fuel Pump Bracket. As can be seen its worth: $39.95 + Postage from Horsepowerinabox Pics are coming. ----------------- $20 + Postage
  20. Nice interior. It will definitely be an Rb25DE from an R32. The R33's were all released with vct motors. UNLESS some left over non vct motors found their way in to a few rare R33's, you never know with nissan. Look at their R33 S1.5's. None the less the power figures etc will be the same as that of the R32 RB25DE. Soooo Similiar to a stock rb20det.
  21. Keep it sounding nice... A big loud raspy exhaust won't give you any more power over something that runs a resonator and a muffler to keep that raspyness at bay. Much more respectfull having a nice note than something that sounds like pure rasp. I see a lot of n/a silvia's and what not shove a cannon on the end and it sounds pure crap. Can't say I've seen an N/A R32 or R33. Seen a few NA R34's though.
  22. I wouldn't think so. All though peak power might make the power to weight look ok its the average power accelerating to that peak power that is lacking. The 2ltr really is too small for the 1320kg R32. A good example of this is pull up next to a VL 5speed RB30E. ~116fwkw or there abouts. Mine made 80rwkw bone stock back in the day but it used to whoop 3.8ltr manual commo's. Well not whoop but just edge them out in the top end.
