lol... She may smoke me but she won't smoke my missus. Julies keen on giving it a run; she's even keen on railing it around mallala some time.

Bugger. What muffler you running? Canon?

Does The Ecu Temp Sensor Affect Fuel Consumption ?
Cubes replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Cheers.. I did check the engine manual and the R33's do run the same resistance.. Just the connector, not too much of a drama. -
Does The Ecu Temp Sensor Affect Fuel Consumption ?
Cubes replied to Munkyb0y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Tangles.. The ecu's water temp sensor is the 2 pin larger sensor. Its the same as the R31/VL RB30's. Aftermarket I priced one up around $40; new nissan i believe they are around $90. The water temp sensors are the same as the rb26 inlet temp sensors. But do check it looks the same before ordering as you never know. -
I'm unsure about the stock ecu but within the pfc engine temps less than 80degree's see fuel correction. That meaning richer. I would assume the stock ecu is the same as the pfc's internal values closely represent the values within the stock ecu rom dumps *from what I've seen of the r32 anyway* BUT regardless.... If your o2 sensor is in good nick it should start pulling the afr up on cruise to stoich within a km or two of driving even with the coolant temps being low. I think your reading the logs incorrectly. At full throttle; ignition timing is around 30 degree's. It only shows a spike of 50 odd degree's because your going from no throttle to full throttle as you change gear. According to your log there's no retard occuring. Injection ms will show if the ecu is dumping in more fuel. But yer.. from what I can see there's definitely no retard occuring. 70-75degree's is quite cool. How long does it take to come up to temp when you first start the car and instantly drive it? i.e no warm up. Using a genuine thermostat it should come up to 80degree's+ operating temp within 2-3km's, or within a 5 minutes absolute max.

Paul, I'd be looking at a few things. O2 sensor, ecu's water temp sensor, injectors and fuel pressure.
-
When do you expect to receive the PFC? Is it in stock here in AUS or has to be brought over from japland?
-
Thats it.. Its stock ecu.. just stop worrying about it running rich. Its factory.

I was referring to....... which 'may' be the cause of my problem. Just thinking out aloud. ---- The cold start you are experiencing..... pfc + a little tweaking fixed it for me. Before that I put up with the shitty cold start for many years. I've owned mine close to 6years now.
-
This issue exists even when the engine temp sensors are good. The ignition switch sounds interesting.... Mine recently has started to take a little while to kick over when warm. Cold it fires straight up ever since I dropped the pfc on to it and tweaked old start etc.

Help With My Car.....i Think The Term Is Surging?
Cubes replied to nsta's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No such thing as boost cut. Fuel cut. -
My std afm was maxing out around 180rwkwish, 12:1 afr's std rb20det turbo. :S

2500rpm you say..... Check the AFM.

I guess what I'm saying is its not a habit; I see so many who just constantly fly around. Every day driving.. I sit on the speed limit or maybe a touch over as my speedo reads 3km/h than the pfc readout. I actually don't like speeding. I want to keep my license too much. I learnt that lesson back when I was 16.5years old. Just got my P's and lost them almost instantly by doing some thing extremely stupid. I learnt quick smart.
-
Yep its inevitable..... and not looking forward to it. I've had my R32 6 years this November coming. No defects *YET* and not once have I received a speeding fine etc.. But its inevitable. Not likely I'll get a speeding fine as I don't speed, I make sure of that.
-
The heater hose stuff works perfectly fine for quite a bit longer than you would expect. I've had some on mine for a good 2.5years now; yes it has recently started to feel a little soft but its not stuffed just yet. Look in the sticky misc workshop listing as there's a few rubber places listed in there that sell the 'correct' stuff that you are after.

Xtreme's single's don't last all that long.. 30-40,000km's before I started to notice mine slipping. It managed 60,000km's before it was completely stuffed and I don't give it a hard time at all. I don't ride it and treat it the way a ceramic should. Bl4ck32's OS Giken twin had as much usable meat as my xtreme 9 puk. Maybe the aussy brand twins are not all that crash hot in the longevity department?

White R32 Gtr Police Chase? Ending With Spike Strips...
Cubes replied to bluegts's topic in South Australia
Curious if it was stolen or just some one who thought he'd try and out run as not to get done by the hoon law. -
Sorry to hear Guy. Looks to be a little suspension work in there also. Glad your all ok.
-
The PFC does work well with an auto BUT the auto will live longer behind a remapped std ecu. I'd go that way... See how the SITC/SAFC goes.. fingers crossed with a little fuel pressure etc you can work past the R&R.
-
For those not in SA. Sorry SA only, you have option to speak to your tuner and they can slug you the R&D costs of getting it sorted. Tangles... I'll have a look at the R34 GTR ECU pinouts as that is most likely your best bet. Your loom ecu plug must match the powerfc. DC_GTST... Its the whole lot. PowerFC and Handcontroller from nengun for ~$800 delivered. The loom mods are done, the pfc plugs in, datalogit is thrown on it with the required maps, airflow curves, map reference and its all tuned up.
-
I've done lots of reading & sifting through R32 and R33 circuit diagrams etc to ensure everything is all good. There's nothing to fear; the RB26 PFC in to the R32/R33 GTST works extremely well and is reliable. The only real difference is the slightly different ECU pinout and the ecu's internal airflow curve and maps etc which are changed to make it suitable for the GTST. Mine has been running for quite some months without any issues; excellent economy etc A number of others have already had an Rb26 PFC fitted to their R33/R32 with excellent results. To get it running modifications to the loom are required and the use of a datalogit to get the car running well. The advantage of the RB26DETT PowerFC is its use of an air inlet temp sensor which provides ignition correction. Great for safety on those hot days, track use down at Mallala + you get to run a PFC rather than a microtech or more expensive ecu solution. Should you wish not to have the additional cost of purchasing and wiring in the air inlet temp sensor it can be bypassed. Tuning and Loom modifications is to be done at BoostWorx as I don't have the time to do loom mods yet still wish to give you the opportunity for you to get a PFC in to your R32 or R33. Approximate PFC Purchase Cost - Purchase the PFC from Nengun or an SAU Sponsor. - Nengun are by far the cheapest currently at $778 Delivered -> <CLICK> - SAU Sponsor for ~$900 Approximate Install Costs..... Please call Shaun or Troy at Boostworx - 8299-0621 - OPTIONAL RB26 Knock Sensors - OPTIONAL Inlet Air Temp Sensor - OPTIONAL R33 VCT Controller Last Updated: 7th November 2007

Those individuals would still be crashing no matter what car they drive. The reason we tend to get harassed is because we own a performance car so we 'must' be hoons because why would we own a car with a bit of balls if we weren't to use it? Exactly the same goes for Motor bikes... Look at the bike riders 90% of them are god damn hoons. Performance cars attract hoons as do performance bikes attract hoons. Sure not all are hoons; some refrain them selves until the local mallala practice day but MOST do not. For those that are sensible long gone are the days where you were able to enjoy a little squirt up to the speed limit; now its considered unnecessary, illegal and will cost you your license. Drive up anzac dragway one friday or saturday night and just watch the groups of bikes ride through dragging other bikes, cars, popping wheel stands etc.. The problem is those 'real' hoons and so called street racers are never not going to stop regardless of laws; all these stupid laws have done is stopped the sensible average joe enjoying a little safe squirt up to the speedlimit in the right place at the right time of which I'm sure you can relate to owning a performance bike Kralster. Well didn't I go off track lmao. BUT its what it boils down to.

Nothing to do with you being asian.. Thats a silly comment. If he were racist he would have kicked your arse well and truly regardless if it was really u or not.

Its fairly poor if we can't film the police.. What do they have to hide? I'm assuming this is just an Aussy thing? Or has america since changed the laws that no one can film them after the big black bashing incident that caused massive riots?!? This exact reason is why we should be allowed to have to power to film police should we feel the need they are abusing their power.
