  1. You would have to outline your usage. What games if any do you play? Video Editing? and most importantly.. What would you feel comfortable spending? Its easy to fiddle with part specs to adjust price. You could get away with a really nice gaming system for a little over $1700ish with OS, 20" WS etc. It can be done for $1500 but obviously skimping a little on cpu speed, possibly gfx speed also. All depends on your needs.
  2. The GTR brembos run larger disks so you would be required to purchase new disks. Brembo's Front - 324mm Rear - 300mm Your 33 runs Front - 296mm Rear - 297mm
  3. Honestly.. Its a wasted mod. The stock brakes with good pads and slotted disks are good enough for anything you can throw at it.............. apart from a set of wide slicks. The idea of bigger brakes is so that you can use the grip larger stickier tyres. Without wide really sticky tyres big brakes are wasted. On our beloved Skylines anyway.
  4. Yer spotted us, there was a mini cruise. I parked the car in freedom and walked over.
  5. When I pulled apart my center after being shimmed the shim actually ate away at the center/casing. :S After removing the shim and bolting it back togethere there was a shiet load of spider gear slack. Ideally you want the shims to slip and apply as much preload on the spider gears as possible.
  6. They are apparently there to help prevent reversion within the stock exh. manifold. I've heard one speculation that they also help point the airflow in the right direction within the stock exhaust manifold. They do hurt the ports flow.
  7. Be careful with degreaser.. Some eats alum. I use petrol. I seal up one end with a few plastic freezer bags + a few rubber bands. Pour the petrol in one end.. shake it around a little and repeat the process until the petrol comes out clean.
  8. Trust33, I have came across those so called better retreads but found their price to be the same as a cheap nasty new tyre. 225/50/16 was around 110 from memory. A set of federal 535's can be picked up for $120 a tyre, 535's are directional and for their price quite an impressive everyday commodore tyre. Obviously don't hang on with any reasonable amount of power.
  9. lmao.. I think that could be a pretty good game.. Paul on one team with a pistol. A few of us on the other with paddles. Then we can all tea-bag pauly.
  10. Yes. I've used one from an Infinity R200 6bolt VLSD once before. I also noted the 6bolt VLSD (gtr spline count) also had a meatier vlsd hub.
  11. Royal Purple value for money? I always assumed they would be exxy. What did they want for 5ltrs?
  12. Were sorry Paul.... Ok... EVERYONE.. No more ripping on Paul. He doesn't like it..... OK?
  13. lmao.. yer well I was stuck at a set of traffic lights.
  14. hahah... while were on the topic of old ladies..... I pulling out of Castle Plaza Edwardstown when this old bag in her white bloomers and bra walked out in front of the car all frantic.. I thought WTF maybe her hubby's crook or something and needs a phone so I opened my window slightly and she farking asked for a smoke.. lmao.. I couldn't believe the crazy old bag.
  15. Be careful of old ladies in distress. She could be another psyco 'Mary?/the old bag' from Neighbours...
  16. I've found the 2 shims side by side still take out the increased preload on the housing. Mine chewed away at it quite considerably. You could also see how the spider gears were binding from the metal squashed look on the spider gears. If that makes sense
  17. Can't wait to see the results Disco.
  18. HKS idle stabilizer. http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=2175

  23. Already sold. These Rb26 PFC's appear very difficult to get a hold of. I ordered mine from Nengun in early April. Its been ~9weeks and nengun are still waiting on Apexi to deliver.
  24. Also be aware that if your in an accident thats your fault due to speed etc, you claim the insurance company inspects the car and discovers a mod that is obvious they can refuse to pay. Its best to do mods that aren't obvious.
