  1. Point me to someone who'll do it for a case of beer please.
  2. I've been quoted for a day's labour for it to be done with the engine in. Is this realistic? Also is there more room for error when the engine hasn't been removed, therefore creating problems?
  3. Hey guys, is it possible to install a Sump Baffle Kit without pulling out the engine? I've rang about 5 workshops, and out of those 5 only one was willing to do it without pulling out the engine, so I wonder whether it can be done at all or if it can be done but it will be a shit job.
  4. I believe its the V44 modified for a 6 cylinder. Btw the dyno results are up in the RB26 dyno thread if anyone's interested.
  5. 6. Finally got the Vipec installed by Insight motorsports. Overall I am very happy with the results, the car feels a lot more responsive down low and coming onto boost, and more importantly is no longer running lean. Was safely tuned to 355HPawkw @ 17psi, car has N1's, exhaust and dumps and that's about it. All it needs is bigger injectors but will see how this power goes down at the track first. Can post a dyno sheet if anyone is interested.
  7. Does the unit actually stay in that position when it is unlocked? Was it difficult to install?
  8. EC is a rubbish place to spectate, hence the reason the numbers are so low. Awkward positioning of stands and spectating areas is to blame for this. i don't see how this new layout will solve that problem.
  9. How does that Onelus lock work exactly?
  10. Will i need a sump baffle kit for this event? I fear oil surge.
  11. That is f**king awesome. Please tell us more.
  12. Reason for sale? Also do you have any pics of it installed? And is it chrome moly?
  13. looks good mate, thats pretty much what i'm after. Did you install yourself? Did it fit straight in? Are those 5/8 gauges? cheers!
  14. Hey guys I have a similar question. I bought my car with Tein suspension already installed. No idea what series it is, but the ride is bloody stiff. Anyway I went to adjust the suspension to make it softer, and I noticed that one top hat in the front has a little knob that clicks when turned, but the rest of the top hats don't. Should all the top hats have this feature? Is that what adjusts the suspension? Any help would be appreciated.
  15. Alternatively you could just go to the track I recently put on a set of Ferodo DS2500s and they were squealing like a bitch. After a day at Wakefield they haven't made a squeak since. Although Duncan's solution sounds a lot safer than mine
  16. Another insanely fast record-breaking hill cimb Peter Gumley at Bathurst
  17. Anyone tried to put in a 5/8 Oil pressure gauge in? Would it require dremelling?
  18. Ended up in the cat - very lucky
  19. I was running standard boost when mine let go, so I don't think the boost level you're running has much to do with it. I wouldn't depend on it anyway.

  21. you'll probably find that Mine's ECU of yours is tuned to Jap petrol (102 octane most likely) and it'll be running lean. A fuel pressure regulator is probably needed, and if you're upgrading the fuel pump make sure the relay is in good order, making a full 12V at the pump. As for the turbos, its just a matter of time. I've heard of people running 14psi consistently on the ceramics with no troubles at all. Me on the other hand, as soon as I took it to the track they clapped out after the 5th lap. $10k later and its back on the road As for the dumps, fit them when your turbos eventually blow, it wouldn't be worth the cost of labour otherwise.
  22. Hey mate what was the quote for and how much will he charge if you don't mind me asking?
  23. None if you don't up the boost. And if you do that's when the real fun of owning a GTR sets in. Sell your kidneys mate its going to be an expensive exercise
