At this point I'm pretty sold on Calsonic Blue. Engine will be coming out soon, so after welding in a rollcage I'm going to spray it inside and out. So, how would i go about getting the right colour or paint code etc.?

I am in the market for one of these. Who imports them and for how much? There's a few on Carsales but the cheaper ones are mostly modified, looking for a stocker.

Looks like I'm going for a GTI manual now, seems like the better option after abit of deliberation. Just wondering where to look up ECu reflashes etc. whats the best one on the market?

I've never seen a matte paintjob in person, so is that the issue with them? The only ones I've seen are either in photos which look spectacular, or some dipshit who's sprayed the car with a spray can. Also, how will the blue hold up? and is Calsonic Blue an actual colour? cheers

whats a new dash worth?

So the old girl needs a few dings pulled out and a respray, so I'm thinking of giving her a new colour to go along with it. The two colours that pique my interest atm are Satin Black (leave the rims grey) and Calsonic Blue (powdercoat rims white). I'm leaning towards the blue, as I've actually yet to see a good matte black job in person, and have my doubts about its longevity. How do both these paintjobs hold up? the car is (hopefully) going to be spending a bit of time at the track, so which paint would hold up better? also, i'm after rear and front diffusers, pods and side skirts; who does this stuff in Sydney? anyway here's my car for reference: Cheers

Hey guys I'm currently looking at 07 Golf R32's atm with the DSG gearbox, and was just wondering if anyone here has much experience with them. I took one for a test drive yesterday and was very impressed with it, however I'm a little concerned about the reliability of the DSG gearbox. I'm also hearing conflicting stories about the effectiveness of mods on it and whether they are worthwhile. I'm keeping my GTR for the track so I don't plan going crazy on it, but I would like to get a bit more power and responsiveness out of it in the future. Also, is anyone familiar with VW mechanics who specialise in tuning etc.? Cheers

I was there last year. They had a Calsonic GTR on show out the front (which you can't get close to), inside there's a shop with a few knick knacks, and a window into the workshop which you're not allowed into. From memory they had an R34 GTR Nur and a 32 GTR of some kind both up on jacks getting looked at. I found it to be a waste of time but you may get something out of it.

Do they have them in 255/40R17 yet?

My car got hit Bonnet and front quarter got belted. Would it be worth making a claim with the insurance company? I have a ridiculous excess.
