Im investigating a new setup for my car and am looking for a list of the parts i need from a rb26 donar engine? i dont know if its worth buying an entire engine and selling the bottom end or buying a complete head and sourcing the harmonic etc elsewhere? heres my idea of what i need so far.. head cams retainers springs valves bucket and shims cas plenum/throttle bodies do i need the oil cooler block that the oil filter goes onto or can i just run my sandwich plate straight from the block? harmonic balancer, does it need to be a 26 one? injectors im gonna upgrade so dont need them tensioners can i use the rb30 ones or do i need 26 ones or are they both the same? i have a gtr water and oil pump in my parts stash so they are sorted im going to run single turbo setup so i dont need any turbo side stuff at all. anything im missing from the list? looks like it might be worth just buying a head complete and sourcing the other bits if i dont need too many hard to find parts.

thanks mate, i am just wanting to make sure the brake lines all line up with the 34 master thats all, its rather expensive to get it wrong ($300 or so), i cant see why the 34 and 33 would be different?
-
i know this will be hard to find i would imagine but im after the part no. for a brake master cylinder from a wgnc34 autech 260rs stagea series 1 if possible (i think s1, and s2 is the same)? i have 34 brembos on the stagea and need a brake booster to suit but i found out 33gtr and 34gtr use different masters i cant see why if they are the same brakes? hopefully the autech one will be the correct one. thanks

10j -7 Wheel On The Back Of A Stag?
unique1 replied to yokotas13's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
thanks Grant the xd9s look hot, definately suit the car in silver too (mines silver too) and fitment actually looks good and not too extreme Could u take a pic of your rear gaurds close up from the side to see the flaring work? -
10j -7 Wheel On The Back Of A Stag?
unique1 replied to yokotas13's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i gotta say i didnt think much of your attitude in the beginning Grant, but u seem alright, i can understand u are going for the vip look and i love it, i think the wheels are abit extreme width wise and sticking out the gaurds but thats your choice and definately looks better than the usual 18x7' +40 on most stageas i see (including my own lol) so good on ya. I dont like those style of rims at all, i much prefered the Work Emotion xd9's u had before. Can u post some more pics of them on the car, preferably a good sized set of pics so i can see the fitment. Im looking at work emotion cr kai at moment or rays re30s or something similiar and looking for the most aggressive offsets i can without sticking out the gaurds too much Also whoever said my car is rwd only is incorrect its 4wd but i often remove the front shaft for fun and am gonna leave it rwd now for a while until i decide on what gearbox i wanna upgrade too. good luck Grant i wanna see pics of the ground clearance under the car as well if u can, i doubt u have much hehe -
im pretty sure on the rs4 and autech they use the same front dimensions, my rs4 can fit 9.5' +40 on the front, its a good fit, could get away with a +35 or so if u dont mind them sticking out a few mm. The rear on my rs4 i can fit the same 9.5' +40 no worries but an autech is different so i cant comment on them. As said above a 10.5' +39 on the front would definately have issues with clearance inside the gaurd and they would stick out from fenders as well abit, definately not ideal and cops will not like it.

thanks Duncan so your saying all these articles etc stating the use of ATTESSA-PRO on the vspec 2 is not true and its exactly the same as a standard 32gtr?

Short Shifter For Autech Stagea
unique1 replied to Lil_Bobby_260's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i cant comment as i dont have a short shifter, i have read the cheap ones are shit and the good ones even cause issues with getting it into gear on hard shifts etc but this is hear say and not from personal experience. I can say i still smashed 3rd gear on wed night with a stock shifter, lol, what a pain in the arse i didnt even get 1 full drag pass in before it busted -
as topic says im looking at a r32 gtr vspec 2 and apparently they have the upgraded attessa system, now is this the same as the r33 gtr where u cant just remove the fuse and it runs rwd? are the clutchpacks in the attessa preloaded like a r33? cheers
-
thanks duncan, i took car down to local brake and clutch shop and he reckons its either the master is the wrong size and also possibly the vacuum tank needs to be put on as well. I have fairly low vacuum even on deacceleration, most vacuum i can get is -11 or so when slowing down off the throttle so its still twice as low as a factory setup car. I will purchase the correct size master asap and see what happens, any ideas where to buy one besides nissan? Nissan qouted $366 trade for me yesterday and i'll email RHD Japan soon and see what they want for one.

Rims- What Are Some Nice Black Rims?
unique1 replied to Nick.'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
nismo lmgt4's always look hot in black, dont think black is available anymore but nothing a paint shop cant fix these are same rims as the z-tune gtr's use -
all polishing was free as my dad did it all at home, its come up a treat and definately alot of hard work and mantainence sucks if u get greasy fingers on it etc but i make sure no one touches the polished bits hehe.
