  1. rebuilt 26 with hks t04z making 560rwhp on 18psi previously its made 585rwhp on lower reading dyno and more aggressive tune and 605hp on 22psi on same lower reading dyno. All numbers are on 98 octane pump fuel
  2. thanks fellas ill suss it out asap and let u know what happens
  3. Hi mate thanks for the reply, the pedal is harder and doesnt travel far at all, it honestly is exactly liek when car is switched off and u try and pump the brakes (no vacuum assistance). The more i try and pump it (with engine running), it gets harder and harder like when car is off on normal cars. i have directional feed in the brake vac line correctly but i just went and moved it abit to try and pull the valve off the vac hoses and it made a hissing noise as i moved it (without actually pulling any hoses off) so maybe there is a leak somewhere. the low vac is normal with the cams i have, they are drag specs only and not made for street use usually, its not the usual set of poncams or anything the stock brakes were abit shitty but not the same as it is now, it just feels like the vacuum booster isnt workin at all, but i dont know if its the master cylinder being the wrong size or just the booster is stuffed all of a sudden?
  4. hi guys im just wondering why my upgrade to r34 front brembos from the stock 1 piston calipers is feeling so bad and hard to operate? do all skylines and stageas use the same size brake booster? i have some r34 brembos on my stagea and the brakes are dreadful. I think its because of the stageas tiny brake master cylinder, now do i need to just upgrade to a r33/34 master cylinder and will it fix the terrible pedal feel ? or do i need the master from a r33/34 as well? I have bleed the thing to death on current master/booster and its still really bad and i cannot make the car pullup hard at all, the pedal is solid. I dont run the vacuum tank that gtr's run either but im 99% sure thats only for the clutch anyway. I have big big lift cams and my vacuum is about -7 and usually stock cammed cars are -21 or so, maybe this is an issue and i need a vacuum pump of somekind to help? The brakes feel like when u switch the engine off and try and stop on a regular car. any thoughts and ideas much appreciated thanks
  5. anyone got one for sale? pm me with details if u have one thanks
  6. hey guys i have had the stagea off the road for a while (12 months) and noticed now the back cargo door isnt pulling itself shut anymore. Any ideas why and has anyone else had the same issue? I better start by checking the fuse but im pretty sure that isnt the problem so what else could cause it to suddenly stop workin? any tests i could do to check the motor is ok without removing the damn thing? cheers
  7. haha, u know i am a short arse so i will sit lower as well, but im soo used to it in the daily driver (mistubishi gto) so its not a big deal as long as i can see the road
  8. they are definately worthwhile on anyone into abit of spirited driving/trackwork, i found u actually sit IN the seat rather than ON it like the stagea bench seats haha. I'm looking at going for a pair of r34 gtr east bear seats from C-Red for $1200 for the pair brand new. Heres the link if anyone else is keen, i think they are a bargain and look good. http://www.c-red.com.au/newparts/eastbear/seats.shtml
  9. sorry dude, u always seemed to be next to me on every part of the cruise and i like to give it a squirt every now and then lol
  10. great cruise, had a great time, spoke with a few of the guys down there (chuckie, appealing, topaz, cefiro owner (tukushi), and a couple of other members) and was glad somene finally did a cruise north for a change that r34 NUR was absolutely awesome, definately one of the hottest cars ive ever seen in person!!!
  11. manual for me too, its just a no brainer to have auto in a skyline based car in my opinion unless your 65yo or something or have the wife drive it often. Whoever compared the tiptronic to the new r35 gtr paddle shift is rather amusing they are abit different i would think
  12. Sam, i was behind u on the traffic light take offs and lets say u didnt just cruise off the line lol, and your overtaking of that 4wd and trailer in the pitch black out armadale or whatever suburb it was. Good to see ya coming Cory, i cant wait to check out your car in person, its definately one awesome looking stagea now the big question do i come in 2wd or 4wd haha :laughing-smiley-014:
  13. i am currently running a 32 gtr 5 speed with 560rwhp in a rs4 stagea and it hasnt died yet with plenty of hard 8500rpm clutch dumps lol only time will tell as to how long it will hold up, 3rd gear is the one that bites the dust i hear.
  14. these guys are pricks mate, i flew from perth to melbourne to purchase an advertised car that was said to be in "immaculate condition" and the owner verified that when i rang them and i got to melbourne and the car was an absolute disgrace, scratches everywhere, trims falling off on interior etc, i'd hate to see what it looked like when they got it before they tried bodging half of it up, he reckons he meant immaculate for its age lol, what a wanker, cost me over $1000 for nothing, thankfully i found a car for private sale while over there and it was wayyy cheaper and 10 times nicer. thats my 2c on the subject
  15. i just installed a os giken quad plate in mine, it seems soft as pedal feel but havent drivin it yet, will do in next few days, should hold up any power i put through it now. I had a direct clutch twin plate, never ever slipped even on 600rwhp+ but its rattly and heavy pedal feel so i took it out. It was a great clutch to drive though as taking off was sooo smooth and easy unlike alot of other clutches.
  16. nice mods Daniel, hows the car feel now compared to stock? heaps more power obviously Are u planning on a run down the 1/4 mile anytime soon? ill be interested soon myself and see what it can do on current power level. Who did your tuning? cheers mate bard
  17. yes its an oil catch can, and yes all the covers (cam, coilpack, cam gear, stock plenum, etc) are aluminium. I have polished my alternator and water outlet hoses as well, plus anything else that is polishable. Definately not user friendly to work on but, its a nightmare to keep looking clean and i rebuff mine every other week lol, but mine does get worked on alot and i make sure i dont touch the polished bits with greasy fingers or it doesnt like coming off too easy
  18. i havent actually got the footage off my mate yet as i been soo busy, ill see what i can get together, its mainly only motorkana events as they missed the other stuff
  19. looks great, i would have moved that power steering container out the way as its likely to get damn hot in that area, i moved mine next to the radiator right at the front on the passenger side, u can possibly spot it in these pics below. all polishing done at home
  20. hey sidewayssam i was behind u on the cruise on saturday night in the kelmscott leg and u sure are abit of a nutter lol, i was in the black mitsubishi gto with gold rims.
  21. Im unsure on exhuasts, i have always made my own and bought mufflers. I havent had much experience with twin turbo setups either as mine has been single for about 3 years now and i havent had the need to investigate into twin systems. Definately do the dump pipes, front pipes and the rest of the exhuast, dont leave the stock dump pipes if u can help it as they are terrible. Sorry im not much help but i dont want to reccomend gear i havent used myself
  22. i didnt make it up i only post what i have been told, i have a friend who killed a turbo and 3 weeks later the motor dropped a cylinder, turns out it was the turbo particles entering the bore, and someone on these forums had pics of a piston with ceramic on the exhuast side of the piston, i dont know how to explain how else it got there? plenty of people called bullshit but more and more cases have come up and real life proof beats theories.
  23. exhuast wheel particles can be thrown back up the runners and into the exhuast ports. I havent experiences this myself so im only going off relayed information from people who have. They usually find ceramic inbedded into the pistons. search the forums as it has been discussed before
  24. its actually a Turbosmart Eboost 2 max boost is 14psi but i wouldnt run that much on stock turbos as u do not want them failing. Stick to 12psi or so and it should be fine. 1/4 mile i would say would be high 13 to flat 14 at a guess, they arnt that powerful when u factor in the weight of the car. Maybe im always chasing more power but even with 345hp at wheels when mine was midly modified it felt rather sluggish Thats just my opinion and every person has different expectations. i would never trust the 60km claims either, for the sake of a few hundred bucks a timing belt change and full service is something that might save u big bucks in the long run.
